Engineer, half celestial, half zerker gears
I didn’t die the entire run. I was downed twice bcuz I didn’t notice the mobs popping out mid-fight. After cleaning them all, everything went smooth. Overall, I’d say the difficulty is alright, although the room is rather small with the amount of cc the boss is using.
Jump off Rata Sum and kill myself over and over again like a mad man.
I don’t know if this is working as intended, but…
Use Inspiring Reinforcement (Dwarf Stance, lightning field) and immediately use Echoing Eruption (Mace 3) can create 2 blast finishers and double swiftness gain.
———————————
Another similar bug:
First use Inspiring Reinforcement (lightning field) and then use Searing Fissure (Mace 2, fire field) can be blasted together with Echoing Eruption (Mace 3) and create 10sec. swiftness and 20sec. 3 stacks of might. Note that the opposite order of the fields doesn’t blast 2 fields; it has to be IR first and SF next. I tested other blast finishers, but they can only blast one of the fields.
Dragons gather, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher of Tyria. I am the shield that guards the realms of all races. I pledge my life and honor to the Dragon’s Watch, for this dragon and all the dragons to come.
—The vow of Dragon’s Watch
It is known!
It depends on the price and the amount of contents they are going to offer. I don’t particularly enjoy this expansion much, so Anet will have to try harder to convince me to buy it next time.

You know what really makes me feel heroic? Helping people rob small, terrified, crippled children.
FOR GREATER GOOD! (Sarcasm)
I just got the achievement. The quicksand seems to reduce the healthpool by percentage. So, this means that the more hp the player has the harder it will be for him/her to survive. So, the best gear for doing it should be cleric while the worst is sentinel. But i managed to finish it with full celestial (engineer) bcuz I don’t have a cleric gear. I tried with soldier gear, but it was so much worse.
3995 hours, 632 days, 0 precursor, sad but good to know I’m not the only one
You forgot to mention we engineers’ number 1 complaint is our Hobosack!
Do hobosacks show up if an outfit is equipped? (winter fancy outfit.. mad king outfit..)
sadly yes

I’d prefer dividing 3 choices into agreeing, neutral, and disagreeing with killing Scarlet, instead of like, like, and like slaying her with different sayings.
1. The taste of victory is never too sweet. (Approve)
2. She’s gone now, and that’s all that matters. (Neutral)
3. We should have questioned her first before killing her! (Disapprove)

I exclude Mad King and SAB, since they seem to have nothing related to the story.
Traveller runes make you move faster in Seige Golem , you can dodge inside a golem to get a bit of speed boost
If you can’t afford Rune of Traveler, Rune of Speed also does the same thing.
I just want to raise my voice here. As a customer who has been supporting this game with real cash since launch, I find the recent gem-store items to be disappointing. The list includes flamekissed reskin, over-priced tattoos, nodes… and now this “advanced” mining pick. And there are already enough posts providing reasons why we hate them, so I won’t bother to explain why.
Overflow beats it 10min ago.
Taimi reminds me of the game, Bioshock. Her golem is like the Big Daddy, and she’s like his Little Sister.
I wish I could carve my character’s name on my gears through crafting. =(
Example: After I finally make a legendary—let’s say it’s Twilight—, I can add my character’s name beside it by crafting, and it’s now called “Titan Terror’s Twilight.” So, I won’t feel like everybody owns the same exact weapon.

Close to 100$, I think. I’ve started spending money on gems ever since the exchange has gone below 1g : 30 gem. I figure it’s just not worth my time to farm.
U can use bags like “Invisible Bags” or “Safe Boxes” so that collectables won’t be sent to ur bank.
But what Anet should do is to add a mini slot in our hero panel, so the mini can automatically come out.
Same here. I’ve experienced this bug several times since the Halloween update. I can’t use Skills from 1 -5, but utility skills(6-0) can still function. And I can keep doing the dodging animation without consuming endurance (but still receive damage). Actually, I’ve recorded a bit.

Currently, I know picking supplies up, spending supplies, and get urself downed can fix the issue.

My friend bought GW2 several days ago during the 29.99 discount, and he can’t beat the instance. For me who is geared in full ascended with 80 exotic, it is easy to beat the instance. However, for someone who just joined the community, he is totally overwhelmed, due to his level, gears, and game experience. What’s worse is that I cannot go in and help out my friend. Plz Anet, remember always leave an option for us to do instances in a group.

Best
-Halloween Clocktower
-Fractals
-1st SAB
-New Tequatl
-Molten Facility
Worst
-Ascended tier
-2nd SAB
-Southsun Cove (Karka Queen chain events & Canach dungeon)
-Crafting max levels pump to 500
-Press ‘F’ n times achievements
I wish there were an option which I could make those accessories invisible.
The game is at this very moment a chore and everything that was fun about it, became a grinding nightmare.
+1. Nothing more to add.
+ another +1
+1 Exactly. Guild Wars 2 has turned from an entertainment into a job that pays its players monthly with cosmetics (and achievement points for completionists).
(edited by SlaYer.2138)
+1!
Or make it unique for each profession.
Examples:
-Engineer: Suicidal Bomb
Skill 5. Explode and damage nearby foes at the cost of putting yourself in defeat state.
-Warrior: Last Shout
Skill 5. Shout “Freedom!” and die while stunning nearby foes.
I bought Magitech Medium Armor because of the skirt. Then I notice the clipping when I preview it. I wonder if it’s just the problem with preview or the clipping really exists.
I want to decorate or have more control over my home instance which currently has been added almost nothing there, except for that Belcher’s Bluff, since launch.
Here are some ideas for Home:
1. We can hire Banker, Merchant, Crafting stations, BL Traders, etc. (like Royal Terrace in DR)
2. Wardrobe may be placed there if such feature is ever added.
3. A Party Table may be interesting for guilds; however, the lack of ability to have more than 5 people within a team will cause problems…
4. Dungeon Portal: The home-instance host may start any unlocked dungeons.
5. Gardening? It may be cool to grow our favorite plants in our home. E.g. Hire a gardener who can grow any plants we give him/her like omnomberry, and the player can go harvest it up each day.
6. Zoo or ranch where we can place our mini collection inside, so they all can run around (or play together if possible)
Anyway, those are some of my thoughts. Hopefully, they sound interesting to you.

I know she is not impossible, but that kitten makes me feel very angry and frustrated, due to numerous bugs(the tornado-bugged rooms), camera angles, lag, and of course my own mistakes. I certainly don’t find it fun after failing it like 50 times. Actually, it makes me so moody that I have to close this game and play something else to cheer myself up. What makes it worse is that I need to have a ticket to get in. So, every time I lose, I have to go farm those tickets again and come back and lose again… and repeat. What a waste of time.
Of course, I don’t need to fight it, but then I don’t need to play this game either. Why play something that will kitten myself off? Ridiculous.
I vote Kiel simple bcuz I never get what I want whenever I open those Black Lion Chests.
The GW2 character models are good but not the best in the MMO, in my opinion. I prefer AION character model than GW2, though I heard that gw2 uses a part of its engine. AION has tons more hair, eye, facial, body, and even voice options. But don’t get me wrong, gw2 has the best environmental design I’ve ever seen.
I love it too! Great job Anet!
I witnessed it, too. Please, close both the Dragon Ball and Moa Race events until they are both fixed!
No, this is the commando armor. The link is from PVP, but for PVE, the only way to get it is through personal story, I believe.
Commando Set
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/PvP_Commando_armor
“To date the only possibility to acquire this armor in PvE is via the personal storyline (Story Level): Head (73), Shoulder (74), Chest (77) and Legs (78).”—from GW2 Wiki.
It seems that this set is available only for medium-armor class.
The Image below is what I got from Personal Story, and I can’t find it in any other methods currently.

TRAHEAR—-no, just kidding, lol.
My favorite one is Rytlock.
Like many posts here have stated, I agree that we, the players, should have been the leader of the Pact, not Trahearne. First, we are the main focus of the entire story, not Trahearne. Second, we are the ones who put our efforts in rescuing our Orders from the Undead while Trahearne just stands there talking. Third, Trahearne is a scholar; it’s more likely that he stands with Durmand Priory, despite of the fact that he is not in any order. So, it does not make sense that the Orders want him instead of us, players. Moreover, we are the ones who unite the three Orders, not Trahearne. He basically just agrees and says like “Yes, yes, great idea, Hero, it’s great that we all fight together. Oh, who’s in charge? Me? Sure! And you be my second.” There goes my promotion! Trahearne, you thief!
And actually, being in an Order is not a valid reason at all because there are ways to make us the leader. For example, the three leaders of the Orders can test us to see whether we are qualified for being the marshal of the Pact. Almorra Soulkeeper may engage in combat with us to see if we have the courage of Vigil. Maybe, Riel can assign us a task, such as retrieving certain information from one of her hidden agents, to test if we have the cunning of Whispers. Lastly, Gixx probably can test us with riddles or puzzles to see if we have the wisdom of Priory. Through testing, it makes a lot more sense why they come to a conclusion why we are fitted to be a leader. And Trahearne? I don’t see what he did to earn himself a rank of Marshal other than whining all the time. Maybe the Pact believes that a whiner can save the world from the threat of the dragons? (lol)

Funny, I taught a guy how to do the dungeon, and he got mini in one run while I was on my 30ish run. No jetpack or mini.
My PVE build:
0 Marksmanship
20 Skirmishing – II ; VIII
30 Wilderness Survival – IV ; X ; XII
20 Nature Magic – VI ; IX
0 Beastmastery
Armor: Soldier + Emerald Orb
Accessory: Valkyrie + Emerald Jewel
Weapon: Knight + Superior Sigil of Fire
Style: Greatsword + Trap Ranger
Pros:
Decent balance of defense and offense
Good at wiping multiple mobs
Cons:
Pet is quite easy to die. (But pet is always easy to die anyway lol)

I wish the personal story could be something more like the Walking Dead (the 2012 game).
Basically, in that game, you have to make a lot of tough calls, like who to save, who to befriend with, or how to proceed the story (e.g. cut off ur own hand, yes, no?) However, the results of all your choices do not change the occurring of major events or the major plots and ending of the story itself. In that game, your choices affect only the dialogues and how certain character dies.
Anyway, back to the main topic. Gw2 has personality system, but Anet never utilizes it fully. The dialogues of our character and NPCs are all the same, no matter we are charming, honorable, or ferocious. And, I really dislike that there is a personality sign that indicates that the statement will increase my certain personality if I pick it. Why should I get notified that my choice of words will change my personality? That does not make sense.
Also, the choices of the personal story are getting more and more pointless as the story moves on. I find the beginning (0 to 30) is the best because all those choices are all about me, ME! E.g. in the charr story, there is a part that I am given the choice of either killing my gladium father or setting him free. But, as I move on to the saving-the-world storyline, my choices become less and less important. It becomes more like how I save the world (by punching enemies in the face, stabbing them in their backs, or burst them up with magic). Then, there goes Trehearne’s story, which I don’t even want to talk about, since there are already so many negative posts about it.
I guess that’s all I gotta say.

My comments/suggestions:
1. I don’t like the cost of keys. Trade 25 baubles for 40? I better just go kill random mobs for the key or just not bother with the chest at all, since buying a key from a store and carrying it over to the chest aren’t much convenient anyway, especially for zone 3. Also, for zone 1, it’s 25 baubles for 20, totally not worth the deal. My ideal cost for a key is 15 baubles.
2. In Rapids, sometimes I can’t hit those alligators with my stick (I have to switch to bomb), and it happens several times that I get pushed off from the rock in the moving water for no reason while standing on it. Please move the alligators closer to you and make the rock a little bigger.
3. It’s unfair that a player can receive another 2 bauble bubbles by playing a different toon. It strongly encourages farming SAB. For example, I have 8 toons. Basically, I just play all of them and get a skin within 2 days. Comparing to my friend, she plays only one toon, so she can earn only 7 baubles per day unless she farms baubles. And because she hates farming, she just buys her favorite skin from TP. My suggestion is to make those drops from chest account bound and increase the reward of bauble bubbles to 5 per chest AND per account, not per toon.
Anyway, thanks for creating such a cool game, Josh.

How about give commanders a command to destroy sieges? It won’t solve the supply waste issue, but at least siege cap won’t be so much a problem. Some people will probably say the trolls will buy a commander tag and destroy all our sieges. But, then this would be very easy to track who the troll is because we can see the player’s name on the entire map, which means that it’ll be a lot easier to report that player. Well, it’s just my suggestion.
There must be 50 flame rams scattered around Jade Quarry’s keep in eternal battlegrounds right now. There was no point in building those there except to grief, and possibly to throw the match in a certain other realms favor.
I don’t see how someone can compare doing PvE stuff in WvWvW, like the jumping puzzle or harvesting, with intentional griefing.
I don’t see what’s the fun in building rams in the enemy’s territory. Those griefers abuse the game system and cause problems for other players’ game experience; therefore, there is absolutely no reason or excuse why they shouldn’t be banned. Does Anet not have a clue who is building those rams? Can’t they check the data to find out who owns those rams? There must be records or something for Anet to know who is doing it.
My suggestion is to give commanders a special skill that allow them to explode any friendly siege weapons in their server, so they can remove any unwanted sieges. This skill shouldn’t be for everyone bcuz then those trolls will explode all of our sieges instead.
There was or is an MMO that does this called Perfect World, or maybe its Forsaken World. If you can fly, you can carry a single person and fly them him/her around. If you turned into a four legged creature, you can have someone mount on you for a ride.
Its a fun idea no doubt, but I’m pretty sure they would not use this because the world already has “fast travel” by means of teleporting, especially how easy it is to get “dat money”.
I played Perfect World before. Basically in this game, a male player can carry a female one in his arms. Or, they can ride a mount together(the guy takes control of the mount and the girl simply sits behind him). It’s actually quite fun, especially for couples. Perhaps, gw2 can do something similar. For example using the broom costume, perhaps one player can give another a ride? (Right now we have a costume weapon that we can throw roses for other players to catch, so it’s definitely possible)
It will be really cool. I’d love to try it. But then, I also hope that they will add some “underwater-only” skills that are used specifically for underwater mode.
Same here. I did it twice, and nothing happened. I followed the instructions from gw2 wiki not to switch toon or log out during the process. Yet, I got no achievement.
