Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences. I am glad that there are still lot of people be aware of all of these. This season is tough, losing a match is very dangerous which may lead you to team with inexperience players. I also found that people use the same build against all comp. Your build is good against “type A” comp but might be poor to “type B” comp. Look for zoose’s topic for the solo pvp guide, it’s really helpful for everyone. Cheers!

I wish people could share more of their experiences and so they could read and learn from everyone’s experiences especially the one who are new and interest into pvp. Learn from everyone. Give yourself some questions/answer regarding to the match you win or lose.
Here is what i always look for when i got into a match,
1. Map
2. Opponent and my team comp
3. Is my build work on their comp?
4. Raw dps? Condi? Mobile? Sustain? (Opponent and mine)
5. Who to target? (Necro usually first but not always)
[Resting atm :)]
1. I’m not a pro but at least an experienced pvp player. I was late for the season and now stuck in ruby due to the lose streak.
2. PVP and WvW don’t attract as many players as in PVE contents and there is nothing wrong in this pvp season system. Many people who are doing in ranked because of the achievements for the wing and badge on their name tag. If so, please punish them and let them stay in their division. Let them learn it through the harsh way. It’s pvp league!
3. Those who are expect to get “lucky” in team match making, forget about it. If you do not know the mechanism in pvp in this season and just want to get a win but don’t want to learn. Don’t do ranked yet, the more you lose, the worse team you will get and then you will continue the lose streak and finally QQ in the forum on the lose streak and the system.
4. What i found on the lower MMR players is that, they are using meta build but they don’t understand it, they just simply keep spamming their skills and greed on kills or triple caps. They don’t hold their caps.5. You are using meta build? Awesome! But do you know how does it works? Skills spamming? Does it apply to opponent’s comp? How is your team’s mobility? Do you watch your teammates Hp and map? Do you know how to kite and stay alive? Do you know which teammate need help? If you are getting zerg, what are you going to do and etc etc etc etc…
6. Seriously, ask yourself why are you doing ranked? If you just want the achievement for the wing, here a suggestion for you. There are 4 seasons, you have all the time for it but if you are looking for the “wow, a diamond/legendary badge”, you better learn to pvp in this season instead of getting lucky.
These are my thoughts on this season. I don’t mind people are casual for pvp but at least give some efforts to learn it, else don’t QQ about it.
…..Way too many <300 losses though where I just have to scramble because as soon as I leave one point, it gets stolen. As soon as I help to win a 2v2, other players died. As soon as I go after map extras, all hell breaks loose and my team starts playing 3 points….
It’s happened to me a lot too especially when the team has very low mobility and then hings will get worse. I don’t mind to lose to a close game, 300~400 – 500 that’s fine but lose to points <100 is just way too much.

It’s been weeks the pvp league has started and i see that there are lot of people QQing about the lose streak and the system. I’m in lose streak too but i’m good with the system. So, let’s share it why do you lose in game? Or is it because the system’s fault? Or you are still expect to get into a lucky team and get carry? Mind to share your ideas to new players on how to improve?
I’ll start it first,
1. People do not bother to hold cap
2. Bloodthirsty
3. Greed of triple caps
4. Like to solo on a cap that doesn’t belong to your team
5. Do not understand the professions’ mechanism
6. Doesn’t count the number or watch the map
7. Skills spamming
8. Underestimate opponents
If you have different experiences in your lose or win games. Share it here. Let’s see if it the system’s fault or your team mates just inexperience.

Let me presenting you my new charr look, the Charrgon!
Give me some ideas to improve her if you have any…
[Resting atm :)]
I’ll give 7/10 for Warskrim as a warband….
And remember this…
“Charr surnames consist of two words put together, one of which (either suffix or prefix) denoting the warband of the individual " – Wikipedia
This is my mesmer charr, Autumn Charrlet.
I’m not sure what name to give her, so I just name her based on the season and color

Do Charrs from guild war 1 count? Then go for Pyre Fierceshot!!
As in Gw2, the charr cubs event from plain ashford.
“Rrrawr! Rrrrawr! (Growl)”
“What are you doing?”
“Duh, I’m practicing my groaning technique.”
“I thought you were gonna throw up or something”
[Resting atm :)]
One of the reasons why I like guild wars 2
[Resting atm :)]
Well, still remember Pyre Fierceshot(GW1)?
If only charrs have more similar quotes like him…
Quotes
>“My father was a great soldier. Without him, Ascalon would not be the smoldering ruin it is today. I will honor his memory.”
>“Never eat something that isn’t twitching.”
>“The Vizier destroyed his own country rather than fight us. That… is a compliment.”
>“There are no gods. There is only pain and those willing to end it.”
>“When I was a cub, my grandfather used to light a flame under a moa bird’s feet and watch it squawk. If we don’t get moving soon, I’ll introduce you to him.”
>“Yes, mouse. Your people will retake their homeland… when they can eat ash and sleep in flame.”
Battle quotes
>“Destruction, too, is an art.”
>“Do not pray for mercy. Your gods are not listening, and I have none.”
>“Don’t waste my time, meat!”
>“Fire leaves little behind.”
>“Humans. Bah! Your limbs rip apart so easily.”
>“I am Charr!”
>“I bite. That is all you need to know.”
>“Ignite arrows! Burn swords! Battle is upon us!”
>“Weak, frightened, insignificant RABBITS!”
>“When I’m done with your friends, I may keep you alive… for a while.”
>“You know what the chain of command is? It’s the chain I beat you with until you understand who is in command!”
>“You will burn like Ascalon!”

Well,
I mean since there are different races in game and each of them has their own culture.
So, they should have a different combat actions/moves and have their own professional call(name?)…
For example,
Human warrior can be name as Mercenary, Charr warrior as Berserker, Norn as Champion and Asura as Gladiator…and so as the rest of the professional…
When come to combat, they should have different combat actions/moves which suit their own race and culture instead doing the same actions in every races…
So, by that way they can really be unique in their own race… :/
[Resting atm :)]
Punch in the face…? But those dragons’ head is so much bigger than the norn…
I too prefer to have a little game play like fighting those dragons in Skyrim.
Flying around, chasing…hiding…As for reward, just use magic find. I don’t mind to take some times to defeat the dragon, just hope that I can get some fun parts from fighting dragons in skyrim into GW2 instead just standing in the same location, hit, died, collect rewards and dissapear… Would like to running around with everyone, some strategy and listen/talk craps about the flying dragon, lol.

Well, I have read a few topics…and I like how a player said in the last topic.
So, we shouldn’t use the term “negative” and “positive” for the players who dislike or like the game. They aren’t negative nor positive, they are either giving out their opinions, suggestions, or compliments to the game. (Of course, some of them just purposely bash/criticize because the game systems do not work out like the way they played in other game or like everyone said, it’s just how it looks like as in any forums)
The game is still consider new, don’t expect a patch to fix everything.
I believe that A-Net and players know what to do. And A-net should learn the lesson that not to simply promises something that can’t be happens in a short term…
By the way, still remember the last topic? This topic too will soon be as derailed with off-topic and non-constructive comments.
So, chop chop. Go and enjoy whatever you were doing.
Cheers and peace!

Glad to see that there are still many optimistic players out there!
By this i show that players are entitled to their own opinion, but everyone have their history and how they invision this as a perfect game. Many ragequtted the game, and still crawl around in the forums kittening around, just to justify their ragequitting. Lack of consensus is pretty usual in public forums, and this is no different. However there are some topics that everyone agrees and those are the ones that should be looked (Like legendary/precursors, sPvP issues, culling, incorrect skills and so forth). A constructive approach on feedback would be better.
True..
Everyone who plays games like to comparing one game to another one, including myself. I do compare GW2 with other MMO that I have played before, and of course there are things that I do like and don’t in GW2. If friends ask me for opinions about the game, I will tell them both, fun and boring side of the game instead just simply bash one of it…
Forums are both for positive as well as negative opinions. I wonder why people get bothered by negativity so much?
Games improve only because of the ‘negative people’. Positive people who do nothing but praise game to 7th heaven add nothing to future improvement of the game.
I would rather read the negative posts than gushing fans giving high fives to each other.
Well, some people just like to stick with the negative side instead of positive…
If you ask me which side am I. I will tell you that I’m standing on the negative side, since they have much stronger facts/opinions(or rumors) than the positive…Hence, I read more negative than positive…but still, I enjoy the game very much
I do hope I could read some “New” negative posts…Just not repeating the same thing again and again…
Forum could be just like mass media,
“It’s easier than thinking for ourselves. If we want to discover truth it takes a great effort, it’s simply easier to believe whatever the media tells us or omits to tell us” -Y.A.
My suggestion is that,
When someone feel bored about the game, just switch to the game that you prefer and wait for further announcement. And if the updates still not fulfill your request, then stay in the game you were playing and wait again. If you are bored with all the games, maybe it’s time to stop gaming and rest well before you start on another game
Cheers everyone~(Peace!)

Really the best way to enjoy games is to not go to the forums. Forums for all games are a depressing place.
Agree on what creeper said.
If I have read the forum before I start the game…
I can tell that I definitely will not buy the game.
It’s good to have players to complain about the game, but what I have seen is that most of the complaining topics are just telling everyone that they want the game to be like the way they want, or “I will quit”…
Some of friends have quit just because of those topics. I think that’s what the posts are meant to be…?
Oh well, if people who doesn’t like the game…why don’t just quit and move along??
[Resting atm :)]
Well, I like those beast looking character so…
1. Kodan
2. Tengu
3. Quanggans – Need a character that who is really good in underwater combat…
[Resting atm :)]
Charr is my main and this is nice!
I wish I can draw my charr character too :/
[Resting atm :)]
“I’ve two hands and some lovely…apples.”
“How do humans walk without tails….”
[Resting atm :)]
I started my charrs in winterdays and has stopped my human warrior as main, the reasons are pretty much same as other players. First of all is the fluffy tail (female charr). Next is that I love beast looking characters and I own 4 cats, love them. Will going to start another charr soon, she’s already on the lvl cap! Loving charrs more and more!

Agree that Tarr geargrind sounds perfect! It works very well in Fireheart Rise map.
I’ll give 9/10 to Krush Bonemender. IMO, I think the name suits better in warrior.
“They are known for their prowess in traditional battlefield combat.” – from wiki
So, they don’t really need medic…
Mine is a female charr, Eirlys(snowflake) Whitefur, thief from ash legion. The reasons I name her because she joined the war during winterdays, and armor color with celestia and silver to make her be difference to others charrs in ash legion who usually in dark. Stealth on!
Another reason is because i read a thread from charr discussion before her journey begin.
“If your character is female, you are the perfect example of how powerful a woman can get, independent, strong, won’t take crap, and isn’t afraid to break a few bones to get the point across.”
[Resting atm :)]
I was late…
Never mind, I’ll make another charr again
