You Guys still going over Apps? Put one in last weekend and have not seen any activity on it just wondering.

Been in game a while have yet to really learn pvp and I’m looking for a gang that does a little of everything. Prefer larger groups to maximize timezone coverage and would be interested in all aspects of PvP.

Currently have a couple toons to 80 but not very proficient in and one class but I’m looking to find guys that play well together and use VOIP on a regular basis.

As a side note I split my gaming between GW2 and Eve online.

I get crashes that will drop my client when entering a battle after the map selection and the client restarts I log in and the mist map loads for a second then i get pulled into the match late. This both screws my team and Creates a Dishonor for me regardless of if we win or loose. Im up to like 20 min dishonor and every match ive ever left was due to a DC upon entering as described above.

You had to earn starting in amber this season… it’s not to keep you down, it’s to tier you with/against equivalent skill players. If you scored into amber, and are continuing to struggle playing in amber, the clear message is operator error. Everyone who wins and ranks up went through a time when it was stomp after stomp after stomp. Then they learned from those mistakes and began turning the tide against mmr. Be patient, take your lumps, get better. Divisions not a persistent progression bar; pips are an account of your ability to achieve in current play conditions against others doing the same thing.

Bullkitten you obviously didn’t see my attachment clearly that is not the result of equal mmr. 3 emeralds and 2 ambers against all amber are you kittening kidding me. That has nothing to do with skill.

If what all the MM defenders say is true that would mean there would be an equally bad player on the opposing team to match my skill and that’s clearly not the case.

God this has me worked up tbh. Look I dont want to get into an argument over how i am vrs how good i or you think i am. My point is with the combination of things i see happening in matches yeh if im not an optimal pvper that understandable but so are the groups im supposedly facing. Though i think its more of a mash of players not knowing maps and not knowing pvp to bad mm and yes ill admit it I don’t have leet gw2 pvp skills. But i know i can fight. Expl me holding 3 at a node on a druid for at least and im low balling 30-40 seconds. And in that time the rest of my team couldnt get one other point capped before i Respawnd. I mean can I say WTF.

Post a video of your games, otherwise all the players will dismiss you as simply L2P as I am doing now. I’ve seen some real bad players, like real bad, keyboard turning, skill clicker, no dodging zerker staff eles that basically do absolutely nothing. I’m thinking you’re one of those until I see you play.

Are you kittening blind there are 3 emeralds on that team if your telling me that’s not a bad match your a kittening loon. On a semi-decent team I could go afk and still have a better kittening chance of wining if it was evenly matched.

Not to mention if it was purely due to one players bad skills that means you would make every team you ever play on loos ranked or unranked. and that is not the case before Ranked started i was on a 15 game wining streak in unranked. So I may be bad but there is no way that result could occur solely due to bad play.

So hope the title covers the basics. Other then that I play mostly Monday through Thursday nights from 9pm on till i crash. Some weekend play but nothing guaranteed unless i plan something.

Im an older guy at 43 and i run mainly a necro and druid secondary but im open to others. I prefer to stay on the non meta side but don’t mind following builds for team comp.

I can run any voip and want to find some folks who dont mind someone still lerning the ropes.

Ive play GW1 have x-pacs and also have full GW2.

I call bullkitten on all this 50/50 even MM kitten. I’m currently on a 1 win 25 loss streak When the kitten does my win streak kick in. Ive come to the conclusion that I apparently suck at pvp in this game even though before ranked i had a 15 game wining streak in unranked. does unranked have anything to do with MMR if you didn’t compete last season? to go from holding nodes 1v2 with ease to getting a 25 game loosing streak is just nutts. out of the 25 games 3 where actually close games the rest all blowouts.

don’t get me wrong im not asking for a system that auto promotes me just cause I play a ton of games but currently i have nothing to give me any indication how I’m actually doing as a teammate. I get a score and have nothing to compare it to so i don’t know if I suck am average or if im decent carrying others on the team.

The only indication i can see is my personal stats i usually end up on top for points or second. Some games I fail but those are the one ive usually given up on after the score gets to 200-15.

So let me get this right. according to the math on my current path of progression i should hit my 51st loss and Ill win every match thereafter? Welp there goes my goal of a 100 match loosing streak. “Way to go Anet” for destroying another Goal of mine.

yeh tell me how your “configs” are doing now cause somethings still wonky. That brings me to a 1win 24 loss record. :/

Im not complaining in any way I just wanted to point out my views as a newer gw2 player that was not in the last season. Firstly i want to point out im not claiming to be some uber pvp player but nor do I think that I have no skill at all been pvp’ing in MMO’s since UO.

So I did play GW1 and I came to GW2 about 4 months ago. I typically hate using metas but understand I have to and did to learn a couple classes in the game so I could start learning PVP in the current system.

That being said I will put it out One more time for those that cant read and might have missed it. I know Im not a LEET pvp’er. that’s for the morons that will insist on flaming on my skills and defending the “system”

Now on to my observations as a pvp player in gw2. I came in not knowing crap and got destroyed at first.(fingers still hadn’t learned key map) My two classes are necro and Druid.(the whole Life/Death theme ) after about a week or 2 i started getting good fights now im not talking about score i mean my personal results where getting better and I could hold my own in 1v1’s and 1v2’s 1v3’s well that was a kitten show. All throughout I was about 60/40 win loss ratio. And also getting very different teammates.

Then Came Ranked I thought ok well I feel ok about how its going in Unranked so lets try it. I got a 1-17 win loss right now and 12 of those where yesterday(one Win at the very end on my night and it was actually a different team). Ok so at about 3 losses I thought geezz this is not going so well so I started paying more attention to teammates I was getting and noticed two I recognized then realized in my next 8 matches I was in the same team against the same enemies. and we where getting rolled. 600+ to 50"s I was just currently in a match with some new folks and had 3 of the enemy fighting me on Waterfall on my druid and all 4 where somewhere else and couldn’t even cap one node.

Not to mention the fight after fight of people fighting in the most obscure areas of the map in no way are they contributing to the match other then maybe “distracting” the flow i guess but thats being hopeful.
So in ending there is no way anyone could convince me that matching is not Borked beyond belief with the flow of PVE’ers im noticing.
