Malchor’s Leap is on the megaserver system now (even if ANet hasn’t officially listed it as such…). So chances are, those that are seeing multiple node layouts are getting on different instances of the map. Get used to it though because ANet doesn’t seem to like node farming even if it helps the economy, unlike champ farming.
I’ve seen them pass through mesmer’s Feedback too. I thought it was just a bug due to it being on a hill or some such.
And yes, making an already very annoying enemy even more annoying isn’t very nice.
If you ask me, getting to world rank 30, even without using liquid WXP items, is still faster than it was like to get 500 badges back before they started handing them out like candy.
I saw a post of someone saying this doesnt work anymore today. Can anyone confirm?
I transmuted a skin onto a plain white piece of gear after that post was made and it still came out as account bound. I’m assuming the poster did something wrong since I haven’t heard of anyone having that problem.
Rule of thumb is that if something’s not soulbound on use or soulbound on acquire, transmuting and splitting will make it account bound. The only exception to that seems to be runes and sigils (agony infusions will actually turn account bound, it seems).
I try to limit myself to just $100 per month, though I will admit that I did once learn about the weekly cap on how many gems you can buy with real money. I’ve been playing for a little over a year, so do some quick math to get a rough idea of how much I’ve spent :P
Practical stability? Mesmers get two bursts of 2s stability through a mantra. Engineers have no stability outside of elites (which doesn’t fall into your definition of “practical”). Only heavies really have much in the way of “practical” stability.
@nekretaal: Elementalists have earth shield for decent stability.
This bug has existed since probably when the fractal was first released. To avoid it, you need to make sure Braham, Rox, and Frostbite are all alive and with you as you go through the tunnel with the walls of steam. Otherwise it’ll likely bug out on you and there’s no known way to fix it except starting all over.
I ran into this the other day when trying to gather from an ori node next to where it spawns, so its not new. I’m guessing its a bug or something related to people failing to kill the claw. The big crystal will remain if you fail during phase 1 at least.
This has been happening on Isle of Janthir every day since the update too. Some days, it happens even more than once. While this bug isn’t new to the map, its certainly been happening a lot more often than I’ve ever seen it before. Southsun Cove also has this bug and it happens as often as once every hour and its been going on since at least the living story update that took place there a few months ago. I wouldn’t think the server for that map is crashing that often so its likely tied to someone else. As someone who farms T6 nodes each day on multiple characters, I really hope they get this fixed soon for all maps affected by it.
I tried two separate installations of the game and rebooting the computer. Yet when I switch over to Windows 7, everything’s just fine. Never had this problem before the last patch.
After the recent patch today, whenever I log into a character the loading screen will freeze up while I can hear sounds from the environment around my character. Fiddling with compatibility mode won’t fix anything and the same installation will run just fine in Windows 7. So it appears its an issue with the patch itself with Windows 8.1.
