And again, considering there are already 4 functional dailies, there is absolutely no reason to turn up a dud…
It’s really bad because this has been going on since release of the expansion.
That’s true BUT!!!! LAZAR!!!! RAWR.
The way Anet does the message suppression is absolutely the worse and laziest solution to a non-problem. It’s definitely one of the most annoying aspects of this game, It’s insanely heavy-handed.
Thats fine but then disable glicko for the week.
This. Not that Glicko matters that much these days, but it definitely should be turned off for the golem event.
The server system has to be changed. Anet will have to come to that conclusion eventually. There is so many better alternatives that other games are using.
Bingo! There is no way they are going to keep the current server system, let us pray they learned something from EotM and don’t completely destroy WvW…
The new maps are very large. They are certainly designed for a much larger player cap than the current ones. This will kill WvW for the lower tiered servers. There is no way that anyone would design a map like this one with the intent of running it with the current server system in place. So what is it? Alliances? It has to be mostly finished and at a development point of no return, so why not tell and get some feedback before you send it out blind like the Golem week.
Somebody’s gonna get a nice PM, but I must say I totally agree with this post while it lasts…
Uh, no……….
Right? Who cares if they are OP or not, I just don’t see the fun of 5 days of massive golem battles, maybe an hour or so, that might be fun, but also pretty expensive. Glicko is sort of pointless these days so whatever. Maybe I’ll farm for poutry meat and lemongrass during those days
I suspect that someone forgot to put the mesmer bug fixes and changes into the patch notes….
This stat seems like a total waste. I’m sure there are certain highly specialized builds that benefit some from running it (i.e. a full-support Ele or Guardian), but it really feels under-tuned in general. So much so that for 90% of builds you’re significantly gimping yourself by having any of it whatsoever on your gear. I feel like it single-handedly reduces the value of Celestial Gear, for example, by hogging up all of the bonus stat points and then some that would be better served by being allocated to literally any other stat.
What are others’ opinions on this? Is it something that’s ever been discussed by the devs? I sort of see it as being a problem that needs to be addressed.
Passive defence/healing/support is generally considered fairly trash since active defence (dodging/blocking) is far more effective.
Being able to dodge every single hit or just block it renders defensive stats fairly useless. Hence zerker meta.
No, healing stats aren’t considered that useful because blasting water fields is where most of the group healing comes from and that is independent of the healing stats of the field caster or the blaster.
The exotics should be salvagable, either way, in order to let people get their runes/sigils back. I personally don’t care if salvaging them would give you back crafting materials or not.
So i just buy melandru gear with karma, as I have about 6 million of it, and get the rune to sell it?
Sounds legit.
No, they are talking about runes that they put in, not runes that were there already. Runes that were added should have some salvage rate, not zero.
Moar pirates!!! Matey, don’t swim in the ocean by yerself! Get that ranged weapon out and climb aboard!
They should make it possible to salvage anything you add to those armors, nothing more, that would not impact the economy at all, except to bring rune prices down to something more reasonable…
“It’s a pirate’s life for me!” I love sea battles and sinking the other server’s ship. Anet should add a pirate style taunt automatically whenever more than 5 ranged attacks happen within 300 range, WvW would be continuous taunts! “I’ll keelhaul ya landlubber!” And who doesn’t like one-shotting and getting dropped instantly. There should be a new achievement ladder that you go up every time you take down another player’s health from full to zero in less than a second.
The new traits offer so many game modes now, so what if the only viable ones that people use are pirateship and assassination builds. It’s all good fun right? ARRRRR!!!
