UI scaling issue

Hello!

I been testing 2880×1800 resolution and the game looks a lot better then at 1440×900, but I ran into the UI problem. Even on “Larger” and text size “Large”, I can barely read the chat or read anything at all.

Is there a way to “force” the client to display larger UI by editing config files or using some addons?
It really is a shame to be held back by not being able to scale the UI properly.

I bought it, sure it was expensive, but well that is why I used my gold not money. Whats the point of gold if you don’t use it for convenience.

Its kinda annoying now that thous 5 slots are ruining my bag layout since I can’t have 10 slots per row since I prefer hide bag option..

I would like if anet gave us an option on hide bags while leaving the 5 acc bound slots above the actual bags, so I would have my 10 slots per row and 5 extra above all that.

Thief just lost a part of what little support we could offer to the team… Swiftness and fury where nothing great, but it helped when it was missing…
Now I might as well put my thief on leave until their is even 1 thing thief is good at… Maybe at next balance patch or at least I will get a good laugh at all other classes then…

You know what I want for Christmas? This event to be finally fixed…
(yes I know Christmas are over)

Ehhh I don’t know at this points should I be laughing, are anet given up on this event, can it even be fixed… I have heard this even has had problems since launch and people have been reporting then heavily last 3 months…

So I think this will be my final post for this bug….

  • Event is stuck at “Ogres control Bloodgorge Watch and Sapper’s Delve”.

So basically even to recapture “Bloodgorge Watch” can’t be triggered, since Legionnaire Riptooth doesn’t spawn, their are some random NPCs fighting ogre in the camp, but they shouldn’t be their.

About Sapper’s Delve…. Game is saying its under ogre control, but vanguards are their, defense event won’t trigger or the capture event…. Capture event won’t trigger since vanguards are still their. Defense event, because Commander Neal has despawned or died and isn’t in the camp.

Hope one day this will be fixed as for me time to get my self a late expensive present…

Nop still not fixed…
Funny thing is Sam is not even near worth 400g… at best 100-200g since its rng item… but since it bugs on regular basis..

Since I couldn’t find a existing threat….

This one is really simple. It buged, because people killed Veteran Dredge Siegemaster, before he entered Fridgardr Lodge. If that happens event doesn’t start and Siegmaster won’t respawn ever bugging the entire event chain.

It happens, because people go and do “Halt dredge expansion by defending Fridgardr Lodge”, but they fail to defend the middle of the camp and if they are at south part of the camp when it fails then continue killing dredge and by ignorance/chance kill the Siegmaster.

As you can see in the picture camp has no merchants and it doesn’t have an event around it….

I would really recommend adding a Determined buff to Veteran Dredge Siegemaster until he starts the event, that should fix it.

Heh if only ogre wars had such an easy answer…

I wasn’t their when it happened, but Shlashclaw looks bugs, she is repeating the same line over and over again(look at screenshot for it), basically it got stuck before“Assault Foulbear Kraal by killing its leaders before the ogres can rally”.

Funny thing is ogre now keep on spawning and attacking Shlashclaw, so technically if you got bored of life you could farm light treat bags

O god where to begin, it can bug on so many points… But this time…

o Charr forces: Slashclaw, Maybri reached middle of Foulbear Krall with no problems.

o Vanguard forces: Didn’t reach middle of Foulbear Krall. Captain Gregory got stuck mid-way there, he can still move and attack NPCs, but won’t move to middle point of Foulbear Krall to trigger conversation between Shlashclaw and himself in order to trigger “Destroy Foulbear Kraal before the ogres can rally”.

o From what I have seen Captains Gregorys waypoint after " Assault Foulbear Kraal by killing its leaders before the ogres can rally” is buged. So if someone does Vanguard event chain it will bug the entire event chain.

o This bug occurs ONLY IF event " Capture Bloodgorge Watch" is done 1st and attack starts on Foulbear Krall while event “Kill the ogre leaders of Sapper’s Delve and hold the hill” isn’t completed OR if vanguard forces arrive into outer south Foulbear Krall after event “ Assault Foulbear Kraal by killing its leaders before the ogres can rally” is done.

At this point I want my luck drop so I would never have to show may face to that event… Its even hard to describe my hatred for the one event chain at this point.

Ogre wars has having bugging out problems for a long time now, now it kinda works and doesn’t that bug that badly after recent patches, but still it happens.

On charr side the event usually bugs, because after “Capture Bloodgorge Watch” or “Defend the charr leaders at Bloodgorge Watch”, when Maybri Shadowstalker and Legionnaire Slashclaw are making their way to Foulbear Kraal, players do “Assault Foulbear Kraal by killing its leaders before the ogres can rally” without escorting Maybri Shadowstalker and Legionnaire Slashclaw to middle of Foulbear Kraal. Since both charr npcs will most likely die from ogre npcs, event " Destroy Foulbear Kraal before the ogres can rally" can’t be triggered since both charr npcs are dead and can’t deliver their chat message and move to their next waypoint in Foulber Krall, that triggers the next event in Ogre Wars event chain.

But thanks to recently implemented fail safe, that forces Maybri Shadowstalker and Legionnaire Slashclaw to spawn in Foulbear Kraal and to make their way back to Bloodgorge Watch unbugs the event for next time when “Assault Foulbear Kraal by killing its leaders before the ogres can rally” starts, but however, if both main charr npcs are left to die again then event chain can’t be completed fully and again the event will have to unbug it self.(This triggers after camp defense event is finished.)

I would recommend making Maybri Shadowstalker and Legionnaire Slashclaw invincible or adding a timer in which, if they aren’t revived, event will fail and event can’t be completed, if they are dead, or this could be fixed by adding an escort event from Bloodgorge Watch to central part of Foulbear Kraal, that would force players to escort then and not leaving them to despawn.

The same event chain bugs on Vanguard side as well after doing “Kill the ogre leaders of Sapper’s Delve and hold the hill” or “Defend Sapper’s Delve from ogres”, but unfortunately I can’t give a detailed report why that happens only that Commander Neal despawns making it impossible to trigger “Defend Sapper’s Delve from ogres” event and to trigger “Assault Foulbear Kraal by killing its leaders before the ogres can rally” event. This could possibly happened, because Commander Neal is killed by npcs outside of Sapper’s Delve and after a set amount of time he despawns.

If they will fully rework PS chapters 7-8, not only stop at changing the order of missions around and “deleting” 1 story arc, but add new dialogues and will fix the current plot holes, that where created by deleting 1 arc and changing the order of missions. I will live with that.

Currently it looks like they just toke PS that is currently used in China with dialogues written for thous changes and just dumped them here without adding or fixing old dialogues.

I really don’t want to do PS again now, because their is a chance it could changed soon, because this situation just doesn’t look normal, but I might do it just to see how bad it really is, because currently I’m relaying on guildies and other posts on information.

Well, greatest fear arc is gone for new players and anyone who wasn’t on the story arc before the patch. They really remove it and it kinda sad, because after 2 years you can’t really chance the story around.

My theory is they removed this story arc, because now PS starts at lvl 10 not at lvl 2, so every PS arcs were pushed +10 lvls and at lvl 80 they though their was too many story missions.. IF that is true its really sad and lazy.

In the links you will be able to find evidence, that greatest fear arc is removed for everyone that didn’t start it before patch.

EotM: Why was Red Keep made so weak?

Funny thing is the Edge.
Red means that the servers got last place in previous match up, because of lack of coverage. So naturally in edge we see far less people in red side, but red side has wurm tunnels, that commanders actually can use to travel faster and workshop that is sometimes used to take a tower or outer wall, but that’s rarely… So in theory free siege and faster movement option could help to outmaneuver other bigger zergs and take objectives.

But in really Edge is a place where everyone comes to get lvls or wxp or karma or champ bags. People don’t have proper gear, knowledge of how to play in wvw and lack of commanders that aren’t their only for a tag so people would group up.

But Im really side tracking…
Red keeps problem is the walls(like everyone has already stated), because on other keeps in Edge hasn’t got any destructible walls. Its really easy for any zerg to go workshop keep and destroy the nearest wall with free siege. Even if the workshop wall is sieged and if you see it, take the back entrance, if that is sieged move to another wall.

I get red side is made to be aggressive, but maybe remove some destructible walls so it would take longer from workshop to get to a place with a gate or destructible wall. Hell other Edge keeps have 3 entrances, so maybe remove some destructible walls to make it 3 gates and 3 places where walls can be destroyed, because now I counted 12 destructible walls and 3 gates so that 15 possible entry points.

The best or worse part, depends on how you look at it, you don’t need many people in one area rescuing NPCs. If a map would have about 20-30 people spread out all over the map escorting, then you could reach 1k mark easy.

I know one thing. I don’t care and we can’t change the zerging community, but I can have fun with 2-3 people escorting, because I find it more fun then spamming 1 all the time. In the end for this event we still need many zergs doing events, all can’t escort, but we could use more people thou…

Fractals of the Mist level 50 Daily

Ehh it is so annoying… I hope we will get a fix for that sooner rather then after 6-12 months when and if they release new fractals or increase the lvl cap…
I have heard that we should get a bug fix patch sometime soon, but who knows…

The guy who wasn’t 50 got a chest, thous who were 50 didn’t get anything….
Basically…. just sad… just sad… nothing more to say.

Skin acquirement needs to stay hard

Well that lvl 10-19 part makes me wonder…
Wiki now says you can’t get skins at thous lvls, but the last update was only few days ago…
Their are already so few items in game that show your dedication or rng luck and can’t be simply bought with money… If after the next patch people will start getting skins from lvls 10 it will be a sad day. I spend a long long time until I got my sword, sb, pistol and frankly I don’t want other to have it easy now…

Many will not agree, but if I can chose my skin then the drop rate of thous boxes should be very low, because getting your skin should be something you really want and give it a lot of time and some may get lucky, some may not get lucky, it life/rng… It needs to be hard so after you get it you would get a feeling of a achievement for your self.

This update makes me worry, because I don’t want fractal skins to become dungeon skins. Don’t make them more common plz plz plz…. Don’t carter this time to general public, lets us 1-15% of players be happy with our skins.

No Rewards at the end of Lost Shore Event

Well I got disconnected several times but I always got back to the same overflow, but near the end I got transferred to different overflow that had already done the event… Tried to log in and out and got lucky, got a overflow that still was doing that event…
But right before the very end got disconnected and could not get back.
I don’t expect magical “Thank you for doing the event here have the loot” still in the future find a way to fix it, because onetime world events aren’t bad, but disconnecting problems make them pointless and expensive.
