Stuck here as well

Honestly this is extremely frustrating. Put in a support ticket 2 days ago and still no response.

After uninstalling and reinstalling Guild Wars 2 in order to attempt to clear settings that may be causing the 0kb pre-patch error, I am unable to begin the download of the game. Running the setup, and the download speed quickly dwindles to 0kb/s. I have tried switching the download server to no avail. Any idea on what to do here?

All of those aren’t working for me. I’m on the setup though, so that may change things. I tried reinstalling after the game wouldn’t change, but looks like it played against me. Any ideas for me?

Still having this issue. My first way of resolving it was modifying C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts with 174.35.56.164 assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com which worked temporarily. The issue has since returned and I have no clue what to do. After a bit of thinking I attempted to tether into my phone’s connection which seemed to fix my issue but at 8326KB it finally slowed down to 0kb. This is extremely frustrating and it seems like there is little to know support on the subject.

Title says it all. Builds that although are unforgiving can be great when used right. Obviously these builds usually aren’t overly tanky but are extremely fun in my opinion.

Healing kit is your friend here; Switch to it and get 12 stacks of might then drop stim for fury. The rest is pretty self explanatory. Switch to healing kit whenever you don’t have might but try to time your switches accordingly with drop stim’s cooldown. Nades are your main go to for damage.

Pretty easy to wrap your head around. Use elixirs as needed steadily increasing your damage. Try to keep at a range as you are squishy as hell.

Have you tried running the game through a different port? Check to see if anything in your resource monitor is using port 443 (GW2’s default port). My issue was that AT&T uses 443 and changing the port the game ran through fixed it for me.

Yep having the same issue as well. Everything on my end is working flawlessly with many large MMOs and online games working with no lag at all (Eve Online, Diablo 3 and the Wildstar beta when it’s open). So far it has been like this all week and it is really kittening me off. Anets making no fans from this.

Ehhh I’d rework your gear a little then. There is no need to exceed 60% crit chance, especially in a group build where AoE fury should be present.

For your solo build, you’re better off putting the 5 points from CS into trickery for say vigor or uncatchable or even Sa for the added might. 5% on a thresh hold thieves barely can maintain isn’t worth it and the loss in prec/crit dmg will hardly be noticed. Caltrops on dodge are good for non-condi builds too, since it has a 5 second cripple base and since you have 30 in DA + lyssa it’s more like 7 seconds of them limping around.

For both builds, full on zerker is hit and miss. I wouldn’t be using venoms if that’s the playstyle you prefer, because escaping is that much harder even with d/p and SR. Skelk venom is still not the greatest choice for a solo healing skill. It is easily interrupted, the heal-on-hit can be negated by blind/block/evade/invuln ultimately trashing your overall recovery. It’s a nice idea in theory but 1 second believe it or not is a long time when dueling primarily for thieves who cannot make mistakes without heavy punishment. Same reason I rarely run HiS, the cast time is a pain but even still it pays off more than skelk. Since you already have a ton of precision, you could get some vitality with valk and lose no crit dmg from gear, or get the zerker/valk mixed trinkets for that little bump (no full valk trinkets sadly). Hp is valuable to a thief, since it works on conditions and direct damage + thief has the lowest health pool. Toughness has nearly 0 use in a thief unless heavily invested.

The survivability of this build is not based on its health pool it is from the life siphon which is why I changed the armor to Zealot’s. Sure up front HiS is better than skelk but with life siphon and the healing from the skill you will heal about 1k for your next 4-kittens.

Basically a new Tesla Coil build.
With turret detonation you do a nice amount of damage and also trigger SD.

Was kind of excited about that nade build you have there until I saw you are using PvP accessories. Do you have one with PvE only items?

DV and BV have a place in any build as they don’t need any investment to be strong.

Few things to keep in mind with venom builds.

1. Mostly for group play, venoms on their own arn’t that great. The only venoms that work well without a venom share build are devourer and basilik. The others can be easily over rided by other sources or don’t bring nearly enough help to the thief.

2. Venoms power depends on the traits. For example, skale might provide more conditions/dmg than spiders, but if you have leeching venoms thats additional direct damage from each venom strike + healing. On my venom share build, I grant roughly 410 dmg for each venom strike. X 6 strikes from spider X 5 allies. Aldo since poison is being reapplied, their healing is going to suffer for that duration. Leeching venoms also adds defensive support with leeching venoms, and if you spread the uses out ( they do not stack healing) you can provide fairly long heal to allies.

3. Never use skelk venom unless you ’re running venom share. Its healing is aweful compared to withdraw and HiS. Even if you have 20% cd reduction the heal is just far too weak as a self heal. If used in a group, it pulls off impressive numbers.

4. Someone already answered this but, venom traits apply to venoms you share.

5. Ice drake venom is kitten. Not nearly long enough to stronger than devourer, and it is in the same place of movement condi clearing(war wh, withdraw, etc) so you might as well keep them still.

6. Venoms arn’t that good for condi dmg as they are utility. The torment isn’t worth investing for, and poison is easy to apply w/o spider. If your lookin for a condi build and plan to use venoms as apart of your DoT, don’t. There are stronger utilities that will pay off more. Not saying they do nothing but that they arn’t as viable atm for the purpose of DoT.

So the more and more condi tanks become op the more build diversity falls. Post builds that you have the most fun on (particularly in wvw and pvp). Not necessarily the best builds (maybe not even good builds)but builds that can be played for a while without being boring.

I was also wondering about this, and even opened a post about it, although i still think Skale venom is stronger than spider’s, Just because it can easily mean an almost instant 25stacks of vulnerability plus the hard-to-come-by torment. Spiders would just end up being… overlapped.

EDIT: Oh and i’d also swap the shadow step for smoke screen and grab de 20% deception reduction, from a PVE perspective taht is.

It’s pretty self explanatory. I’ve had a pretty good time with it so far. It’s mostly made for running with groups but for solo I would replace Venomous Aura with Shadow’s Rejuvenation.

Yeah I see where Anet thought it would be cool and everyone would love them but after getting 2 shotted more than once by them they’ve lost their charm.

(Food is Toxic Maintenance Oil and Marjory’s Experimental Chili)

The build works pretty well 1v1 and in group fights. Usually this build should be used by kiting and keeping some space between yourself and your opponent. It uses med kit over turret because it allows you to stack a pretty decent amount of might while gaining fury. Downside is this build has a rough time with condis. Only 1 condi clear and it can’t cure immobs. It also doesn’t have much healing. These cons make it so 1vx is pretty rough. Any suggestions are welcome as I’m tired of condi tank builds.

Sad how hard it is to tell the difference between roaming guilds and zerging guilds in this tier. Must be fun to take on 3 people with 15 and call it roaming.

Anyone else experienced this? Some games can take less than 15 minutes to get in and out of support. Hell, I’ve had a single person run vpn service have better, faster support than this.

even with sword 2, shadow return, and lyssa you lack the cond cleanse to beat that build. I’d switch to a 0/30/10/15/15, mug is great but not nearly as good as the IV trait in SA.

I would do that but it drops my burstability and I hardly stealth s/d.

I’m not one to care about PPT, but i honestly hate versing SBI-.-
Since all these transfers, i rarely ever get even numbered fights when i run 10-15 man groups with my guild.. The only guild who give great fights and actually stand out of the 70 man zergs in BEAST. So yeah, i’ll be in Yaks BL for most of this week just looking for good fights.

It’s funny when other servers act as if they never have zergs.

I don’t think you’ve ever seen an enemy 80 zerg. You guys have them quite a lot!

I didn’t see any huge SBI zergs last night during reset. You’d think that would be primetime for an 80 man zerg, especially since those are supposedly our forte.

You guys always complain about the new SBI transfers, but what you fail to realize is that we do our own separate guild events and tend to avoid huge zergball stuff. For instance, DDLG ran two groups last night, with each consisting of less than 20 members.

Guess that 70 man DDLG zerg in Bp’s bl tonight doesn’t count? (Idk if true but ive been told about it)

If I counted our current roster I doubt that 70 people in ddlg have transfered from dr to sbi yet.
