as it is now, you’d take renegade solely for Fervor and play exactly like you were before, horrible outlook for a new sub-class.
Renegades utilities are too weak, many builds will end up not even using Kalla in her current state. The energy costs are too large across the board, and if they’re cc’d they just stop functioning and eventually die. The heal is also pretty bad and will never save anyone (which is a huge choice to make over Heralds heal). The traits also offer very little sustain which will make it a rough choice over Herald if the utilities dont even work. Also there is no Chill anywhere in this spec, which is strange cause you’d probably run Corruption with this.
making the summons able to be cc’d and killed is just dooming them to never be used. it already happened with spirit weapons so theres precedent.
I support making 3 a blast finisher. Also maybe make 2 hit multiple people in an area around your target (but life force only generates on one). Buffing 3 even more probably wont happen though because its already pretty decent.
AoE cap removed on all skills
instead of hitting 5, they hit everyone
Balanced for an elite spec that might not even come out this year. This trait will never see play again in its current state, great job.

This signet is a joke. They went to stupid lengths to make sure it wouldnt be overpowered, and they did such a good job it has no use in any game mode. Change the effect entirely if siphons are not allowed to be good. And trash siphons altogether while you’re at it.
Anet’s complete ignorance on necro on full display in this update. They literally have no idea what to do with this class.
Expecting a lot of worthless blood magic buffs as usual, while also ignoring siphoning completely cause they’re totally clueless on it.
Fix the crap new heal and traits they added, for starters. Only thing worth anything is Path of Corruption and thats just because Curses already had awful grandmaster traits to compete with. Oh yeah and fix those awful grandmaster traits please.

Why does every class forum think their class is terrible and super neglected? its pretty interesting.
To me it just seems like if people dont see a giant initial heal they call the skill bad. Same reason skelk venom is getting so much hate.
From watching the livestream, it is without a doubt the worst out of all the new ones. If you want to support your team, trait for life transfer heal. It’ll heal for 2-4k in an AoE. This just confirms that no one at Anet mains a necromancer.
Except SoV is bonus damage for anyone striking your target, how do people not see the value in this? And you get a heal sig heal whenever you get hit on the passive. They should be trying to provide a good alternative to CC and i think they accomplished that.

PvE amounts to “who can hit the training dummy the hardest”. How do you fix that easily?
They are easy classes to play and learn and are immediately effective. I think Guard is far more balanced though. Warriors dont ever have to give up anything like every other class.

Should we have season 2?: yeah, but it needs a serious rework. could use an additional group on top of gold, silver, and bronze. 3 doesnt seem like enough.
to keep it simple, they could just make toxic landing trigger an unholy feast when you landed. or even a reapers protection, but that might be too powerful.
Would much rather get protection or stability off of Siphoned Power. Even if it was 1 second duration that triggered on every hit it would be much better.
Still need 30 in Earth to use it which is a pretty hefty cost.
I think existing Death traits could easily become good minors. Dark armor would be good for 5 points, Death shiver would be a good 15 point minor, for example. Its just not ever worth getting these as majors really, but as minors this could become a good trait line.
Changes to Reaper’s Protection and Deadly Strength are good but it still means you have to wade through the constricting Death Magic minor traits (reanimator and protection of the horde) which are useless unless you’re using a minion build. Not to mention a lot of the traits aren’t even worth spending points for.

Combine the minor traits with Minion master and Flesh of the master and then turn the new minors into:
vacant minor #1: gain toughness while in death shroud
vacant minor #2: gain health when you gain life force
they can figure out the values
If you want to buff power please change Siphoned Power into something useful. This has to be the worst grandmaster trait in the game. People dont spec into Spite for this, its just in the way of Close to Death and Dhuumfire.
