Does anyone know what this does? I bought it and looked for Zinn’s stashes but could not find any.

Does HoT start with a letter in the mail? If so, make sure your mailbox is not full. Not very likely but I’ve seen it in the past.

Seems like you need to go to the red fort in silverwastes to start HoT. I’m sure there are others with a better memory than mine.

I assume you have already checked, but is there any way the Ranks section got changed and the permissions to guild stash was unchecked.

You will only see the guild bank of the guild you represent. So you will need to switch back and forth and tell the officers of your current guild (if 100% rep) that you have a bank guild.

I was looking at the Samsung 850 Pro — any bad reviews on that one. Thanks for the heads up.

Ok – from the title you will note I am no computer expert. I am getting a new computer with an SSD and several comments have been made about an SSD decreasing load times. Do I install the entire game onto the SSD? Sorry for the basic question, but want to do it right the first time. Also, how much space does GW2 take? Can I put GW1 on the HDD to play for the few times I go back to see my old characters. Last question, any brands of SSD you all like. I have read that the Samsung 850 is good. Thanks in advance for taking time to help.

I’m assuming you don’t have the sprocket generator in your home instance. But you can always party with someone and go to theirs. It would be slow but at least it is cheap and an easy way to get a few.

I have an old PC and am getting ready to buy a new one and so am looking for some advice. I have a decent budget that is flexible — $1000-1500. I primarily play GW2 but would like to have the ability to play other/newer games. I will be buying and not building — more money than time and skill. Based on what I have read, I will most likely be buying an Intel with NVIDIA (spelling?) card. Also, most seem to come with Windows 8.1 but I thought I read that there were some issues or does it work fine now. Also, any great brands or brands to avoid would be great. I have been looking at CyberPowerPC but again advice on sites would be helpful. It would be great to play and see everyone’s armor as opposed to the generic model.

I think we can all agree having JP in wvw is wrong. But since they are there and some of would like to finish the wvw season 1 achievement, they need to be done. Since I am terrible at JP, I use a Mesmer port for backup for when I fall (yes it is kind of cheating), but as I sit there waiting for cool down, I get killed by a BP person. Friday afternoon before reset, isn’t that the time to do these achievements — when no real battles are taking place.

I just want to get these stupid JPs out of the way.

TL:DR — if you see BP in the jumping puzzle, you might want to kill them before you try finishing the puzzle. Yes, I know not all BP will attack but just wanted to throw a warning out.

I need to get a new headset/mic set. Our server uses team speak 3. Any recommendations. I will primarily use only for game, not movies or music. Lookin for midrange product not more than $150 or so. Also any advice on settings in game would be appreciated.

After the patch I have been stuck a couple of times. I was unable to shoot or leave and had to waypoint to free myself. As a side note, the person that placed the arrow cart can kick you off. It seemed to happen to me when the arrow cart was on a ledge of the tower and I was on the walkway slightly below. So if cart is on the back ledge, jump up on ledge before engaging.

Note — the weapon switch did not work for this case.

As I look at the match-ups for reset and see many of the same groupings, I think “Hey leveling an alt sounds good”. Based on the point gaps between tiers, I see little movement in the near future. Yes, I agree that the matches are somewhat balanced, but I think a server that wins many weeks in a row should at least get a chance to try the next tier up. If they get crushed, at least they got to fight someone new for a week. (Reference to original idea). They might even learn a new strategy from a higher level server.

What are thoughts on a server being able to move up a tier for one week if they have won 3 or 4 weeks in a row and the server right above them in the next tier has lost for 3 or 4 weeks in row. I can say that after three or four weeks, I get tired of seeing the same servers and strategy. After the week, the servers move back to their original places and the win/loss record starts again. The point system would stay the same but the server that moved up might be able to gain points faster while the server that moved down would probably lose points faster. Might speed up tier movement.

One suggestion is to allow the officers of the claiming guild to be able to destroy any placed seige in that structure. If only the officers can destroy, then it minimizes a “spy” getting in and destroying all properly placed seige.
