signet of the locust gives 25% move speed and quickening thirst gives 15%/10% when daggers are worn main and off hand..

my question is do they all stack together ? if i was dual wielding daggers and have signet of the locust.. does that make 25+15+10 = 50% move speed?

im very much pleased with the new patch… i was already doin well with my necro, but this patch made it even better.. or maybe its just me

What’s entertaining about hitting things with a sword or stabbing them with a dagger, when you can easily do that in the real world?

so what your saying is you’ve held a big kitten sword before ? and your dual wield a dagger and actually stab / kill something ?

your fantasy and mine aren’t the same , i wanna hold a bad kitten sword while you wanna pretend to be a fairy and use magic and stuff..

what is it to you if people want swords/daggers more than magic

id love to see battle axes in game.. but they better make it big though.. and i think hammers are too little…

yeah there aren’t much players on lowbie maps.. but maybe when you hit mid level you’d come across a few players here and there, try wvw there are always players there., and as stated above try joining a guild, its more fun playing when your have someone to talk to..

that’s just sad

sometimes when i use this skill my warrior just runs pass the enemy then use the attack then its an instant “miss” …

either go full carrion or full rampage set.. well that’s just me ehehe

really highest toughness gets aggro ? when ever i roll my glass cannon warrior i always get aggro O_O i barely have any armor on me like 2.4 only

if your just leveling go full str.. you’l never go wrong with str

i made a tank build for my warrior so i could change between glass canon and tank build when ever i feel like it… i went full AC gears, armor / weapons cuz they have pwr/vit/tough and for trinkets i got rare soldier set, you can get the exotics one’s but those are expensive, and i use full crest of soldier so thats about 14pcs for 6 armor, 2 weapons, 5 trinkets and 1 back pack.. and i use banner regens, i dont even lose hp on pve i just summon a banner then regen pops in…

ohh, you’l lose crit damage if im not mistaken, cuz mf gears would give you pwr/prec/mf and zerker gears is pwr/prec/crit dmg… so you’l lose crit damage, but still you will crit most of the time so you can still kill fast

go full glass canon gs/rifle build, slay things faster.. then gear him up with MF gears

@ Zmed if you want a tanker build better go with the regens from banners..

i have 2 builds for my warrior a full tanker and a glass cannon i switch from builds whenever i get bored with the other

swords are for conditions.. and i think condition build for a warrior won’t kill as fast as crit build, if you want DW try axes..

are we talking bout pve ? or pvp?

i saw a soldier ring / accessory but its rare and masterwork.. is there no exotic versions of these ?

maybe you should play with others too not just your wife… socialize ?

map completion.. jump puzzles.. fracts.. help new players with dungeon or quests.. make a legendary, do w3 … i do all these with my guild mates , it never gets boring when your doin it with your friends

i think it all boils down to how good the piloting skills the player has.. i roll a glass cannon my self, i contribute much to my team with my DPS, and further more i can stay alive just like any other player.. as long as we have team work or listen to the leader, once you know your roles its pretty much a breeze..

i roll with about 73% crit chance and 110% crit damage with food buff, crits pretty high.. focus on getting the crit high then crit damage then power… i don’t care much bout toughness and vit i have like 2000+ defense and 18k hp , but hey i get to slay things faster

you don’t need guild scores, it doesn’t matter even if the player is wearing all legendaries if that player has next to nothing of a piloting skills he’d still die, guild scores would ruin the game, you should look for party mates base on their skills not their gears.. don’t make this game like the game you USED to play, if you guys want it so bad go play THAT game instead

whats so good bout this anyways ? its only like 25 to all stats & 3%crit/mf.. i’d still go for berserker trinkets

i think its really stupid to compare damages f warrior from hammers to ele hammers…

of course they have do to more damage it compensates for their squishiness, next thing you know they’d be asking that warrior must use staff -_-"

this patch definitely made me quit my ranger… dumb pet AI, lowest dps class in game and to add to that traps have longer cool downs.. yeah, definitely a force to be reckon with… why did i ever had to pick ranger as a main

yep, enjoy double cooldown on the best (flame) trap.

so with the -20%cd its 24s… that sucks, rangers really took a big step back more than improving it, traps where already fine the way they where, instead of buffing us they nerfed us more.. guys i think we should stop complaining how bad our class is they might nerf us again… till there’s nothing left of rangers

i think we should stop making threads like these… and accept the fact that rangers are a jack of all trades but a master of none, being a ranger hence “range” warrior sure does out damage them…. and melee ? well we know ranger’s melee sucks too, so what has a ranger to boast? pets? yeah a dumb pet that runs pass through enemies, traps? i can say i enjoyed playing with em.. i don’t even know whats a ranger’s role in this game lol

It varies, sometimes pet is useful sometimes it isnt.

sadly i don’t think they’l ever fix this or remake rangers… its all just wishful thinking

remove pets, give us more damage… and add rifle and pistols

indeed as dante said… putting too much trait points to BM just to make the pets survive longer ? perform better? that’s absurd, and not to mention minor & major pet traits are everywhere, you can find 2 pet major traits in skirmishing, wilderness and nature .. why didn’t they just put it all in BM… sigh

No, just no. Why would you undermine the whole class mechanic? that would be like a mesmer saying “no I don’t want clones or phantasms…just give me all the raw damage”

Have your pet on passive and only send it out smartly/ redraw it using swap/F3. I’ve not ran into aggro problems of any kind even when doing dungeons, you just have to play/control smart and not treat the pet like some automatic robot. I do agree the pet’s animation(inability to attack on the go) needs a little work, but once that gets fixed rangers will be perfectly fine.

IF it gets fixed… IF not, im stuck with a pet that gives me trouble,i wanted a ranger not a tamer, i hafta constantly look at its hp heal if its low and swap if its about to die and press f2 for its skill, its like taking care of a baby lol

Try using a ranged pet like a spider or devourer, they don’t require as much attention since they aren’t in the front line taking heat. Or get a tanky pet like a bear. It doesn’t require that much attention anyway…heal when its low, swap when its dying, etc etc…If I didn’t have a pet to manage it’ll be quite boring, tbh

Well think about it this way….the damage the pet is taking is the damage you would otherwise be eating—-so its actually helping you out a lot. When your pet is defeated and you have to go ‘solo’, you’d notice its a lot harder.

hmmm not really that hard to solo.. cuz its mostly DE’s so there are many people around… what im try to say is they made rangers to pair with their pets, its like the pets is roughly 30-40% of your pairs output damage? (correct me if im wrong ) but it wouldn’t matter much if the pets them selves don’t work properly..

i see a monster press f1 the pet runs pass the monster the monster comes to me i end up bein the damage taker so id dodge/roll while attacking, so the monster would follow me hence the pet would have a hard time following and hitting the monster maybe get 2-3 hits in

yeah.. i think i’d be better with out the pets, given that there’s an option to perma stow it and get the bonus stats from the pet.. if we are forced to work with a pet, then let the pet work properly, i can’t even count how many times my pet ran pass the enemy, with how the pet’s ai is now a ranger should have an option to play with or without their pets
