in GW you’re basically at the mercy of the RNG. Get lucky and you don’t get stunned at all, get unlucky and you’re hit with 8 CCs in a row right after you’ve used your stunbreaker.
the fok you talkin’ bout m8
stuff
Every time I see you post, my sight gets locked on the words “PVE Burning Build”.
And I just spend a few moments, looking at them. Thinking.
Nope, you just have to know how to play your class and bam you’re an elitist.
Yep, you can’t tell a player to play as a valuable team member, that’s oppression. Thanks, Obama!
Trying to sell sneakers to a Nike factory here bud.
Sound of hundreds of jimmies being rustled.
Been kicked out of my habitual TA solo today. The one I was just giving out for free like usual. I mean, I don’t even mind, I have more TA tokens than I need, I just don’t understand.
Yeah, okay, we all learned from this thread that 10% damage is a minor thing.
God bless the playerbase.
Believe me, they’re just abusing the fact there’s no good mmo out there.
Yet.
Exactly how I feel. Been having trouble playing any mmorpg at all after Guild Wars 2, I loved everything about this game from the first run. The only one that didn’t fall flat instantly for me was Blade and Soul though it also suffers from the endgame “nocontent” to an extent. At least in my opinion. And I’d still recommend it to anyone with an opportunity, the combat is cool, some of the dungeons are great, the gear threadmill is bearable and game pretty open to solo clears (lots of instances are solo including one of the endgame dungeons, others are bearable when overlevelling/better geared).
But how Guild Wars 2 are being treated is just sad. I wouldn’t leave my project in such a disastrous development disorganisation unless I was planning to take the money and run.
That’be nice but this godforsaken place is a wrong subforum for such general suggestions.
Though this is something a lot of the community could relate to. If we had masses rambling on how much sense this makes maybe we’d get changes in like 2015. Ha.
There’s enough casual instances in the game.
Do your story.
Why do you do this to yourself.
Nightmare knights can live up to their name if you can’t permablind them.
I ran into it and semi-successfully attemped to solo the beginning, only to learn in process that the ooze puzzle is likely to require a group. “Oh well, maybe later.”
“Later” is yet to come.
That’s irrelevant to the topic though, I am just drunk and feel like talking to people.
This is how I dealt with the golems for can’t even remember how long. Old habbits…

Expected Temporal Curtain, was disappointed.
I wanted to interject the idea this thread might be getting the posts it does, because it’s a hard topic to generate a conversation around. If composition is one of your concerns, there’s not much to say because you assimilate and move on. If composition isn’t one of your concerns, there’s not much to say because you don’t have a vested interest at all.
It’s like you’re taking the words right out of my mind and shaping them nicer with these posts.
Eh, I kinda seen all of this coming ever since the change was announced. Though I guess the public reaction has been amplified by introduced dungeon bugs but the ANet side reaction is completely in the boundaries of my predictions.
Just gonna wait and see how it turns out since if current situation is the end result it’s just rude.
Plus I’m not playing a lot lately anyway.
Gotta keep in mind that I need my status changed to Eu in [Noob].
He once reset on me when I was pinning him to the wall.
Absolutely no idea how that happened, but he just randomly healed to p1 and started casting grubs.
Since then I don’t put him against a wall.
I had a dream where conjurable weapons became karma consumables.
Woke up confused.
Not sure if serious.
No.. I am serious
Great in WvW too.
As someone stated the staff is a support weapon. I’ve been plying this way since BWE. It’s extremely effective support. I don’t care how much damage I do – that’s not my role. Honestly the fact that I do any damage at all is just a bonus. Let the other 4 people damage while I keep them cleansed, rez them, buff them and use whatever I can to make the fight easier be it a projectile reflect or stability.
All my symbols heal and they are all huge so when I drop Symbol of Swiftness I’m giving you swiftness to get out of the way of attacks, healing you with 5 pulses and giving you a Light combo field for cleansing or retaliation – so you do more damage and receive less. Meanwhile Orb of light heals whoever it passes by and I can detonate it for more healing. Empower gives Might and a heal at the end. And if you creatively use Line of Warding you can not only stop following enemies during runs but assist kiters or protect the range camp from attacks. I heal you when I dodge, you all have my Virtue of Resolve passive heal – which is stronger and stacks with Regen as it’s a separate buff. My Mega support Elite lasts 10 seconds longer, which is a lot when you can spam Heal Area. And I have 3 group cleanses not including cleases that happen with Light Field.
Why Toughness and Boon duration? Well.. I need to be alive to heal and rez you don’t I? I already have plenty to cleanse, so Vitality is moot. With Boon Duration I get longer regen and protection. And yes I am lacking on damage, so the longer I can keep my might or fury or whatever boons are flying around the better off I am. Granted, it may take me a year to kill something, but I’ll still be standing.
As I stated, I was a healer for 6 years, this is the role I am comfortable in, it’s a role I enjoy.
So when you see a Guardian with a Staff… assume this is why.
Not everybody can afford to log in every day…
I’m under the impression that that’s what this game was designed on.
Well then it’s horribly done, because it alienates those that cant every day, but have longer play times on certain days.
It also alienates a majority of those that can play everyday because a good portion of those run out of stuff to do that day because of how the game limits them.I’ve been playing every day since release, I don’t see it.
You’re looking for Dungeon Tokens, yeah? Doesn’t Bag of Wondrous Goods still drop on repeat runs?
Completely missing the point.
I think this boss is fine the way that it is atm. Giving him more HP doesn’t seem necessary and it has some pretty cool attacks that make the encounter more interesting than most.
You want a “boss” that’s too easy? Legendary Jotun Skygazer.
He’s the hardest. His “fight” hypnotizes you into sleep, then bam – fire under your feet.
You probably kicked the instance starter.
Instances reset when the starter leaves the party in any way other than other members leaving.
The more you know.
Post in the LFG tool.
But why people use signets of 25% movespeed on dungeons and boss fights. That is all i want to know.
gtta go fast son
snip
I agree with that. There’s no need to act condescdening or rude to random people. Just kick the person if he is deaf to reason or leave yourself if things are going south.
I mean, expecting people you see for the first time in your life to be competent is pretty silly. And this sort of mentality is all over the online gaming, Guild Wars 2 is perhaps one of the most grief-free games even if we have our fair share.
Hey, he’s at least thinking in the right direction.
1) Hard mode dungeons (if ever)
2) Time gating (particularly dungeons, but overall as well)
3) Party system improvements (LFG too, but LFG is still new and probably got its discussion still going on)
I feel that some dungeons, like Arah, are dominated by path sellers.
And just like others I will assure you that it’s just a baseless feeling.
I genuinely feel that Arah is a very unpleasant ride. I wish it was more fun to do.
And for many of us it’s one of the most fun things to do in the game. Even if my GW2 gameplay nowadays is mostly casual WvWing and afking world bosses I still visit Arah once in a while.
I used to be a shout heal warrior when I first played the game. Now, once in a while, I still hit FGJ while skipping through conditioning mobs.
:’)
I fail to comprehend how selling runs makes finding a group impossible.
I’m having trouble seeing it useful even in WvW to be honest. People blasting water fields on commander demand in damage+armor gear will be more useful than guardians rolling around (literally) with silly traits and gear.
The cat noises tho.
A d/d thief. Drop aggro like nobody’s business. Why take the dmg when you can force your party take all the hits instead!
Everyone’s a tank when you say so, god bless the best profession.
If you wanted to do damage as a heavy, you should have gone warrior, not guardian, fix yourself please, and thank you.
Maybe you phrased it like this by accident but I am so angry now.
They’re getting popular now though so bid your farewells.
What a wonderful and specific suggestion! But I feel it will be ignored along with my proposal to add a “Make me happy” button to Guild Wars 2.
>Not searching lfg for worst groups and longbowing your way through dungeon.
What do you even know about having fun with ranger?
