Cool. Yeah, this build sounds great because I really like the idea of being extremely annoying to fight, even if you end up killing me (which is very likely to happen). How do you get the recipes for these ascended trailblazer pieces? I may try an exotic version of it first, though.
The ascended trailblazer gear is called Pahua:

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pahua%27s_Trailblazer%27s_Insigniait’s also quite expensive due to the current prices of Maguuma Lilies (both the exotic and ascended versions. Definately don’t make exotic trailblazer).
I’d recommend going with Dire and Rabid for you first condi roamer. Exotic should also be fine until you are certain you enjoy the build and it works well.
Get ascended trinkets via the new maps and pick trailblazer on those.
As far builds go, as mesmer you aren’t as set in stone as some other classes. Your weapons of choice will be scepter, sword, pistol, torch and shield (depending on if you pick chrono). Since you want PU Chaos is a given trait line, Dueling works quite well with condi and pistol.
Blind forging a build and being very rusty (my last serious wvw experience on mesmer is about 2 years past pre HoT) I would assume you might end up with a build along these lines:
The utilities you use will vary widely on what exactly you are fighting and you should expect to rotate those as needed. I left out Sigils (and went with perplexity for runes) because I’m out of the loop what people run today in roaming wvw.
Hi all,
I’m trying to make a PU Condi Roamer for my mesmer. I have a recipe for ascended shoulders, and was going to make them for him, but there isn’t one with trailblazers stats. I noticed the trailblazers stat shoulders are exotics! Shouldn’t I have ascended armor on him? Trailblazers look like they have 4 stats also. I’m pretty new to crafting ascended stuff and since I’ve mainly played pve until this point I haven’t really worried about my builds too much. Thanks for the help.
I think another checkpoint needs to be added towards the end. Just too frustrating if you not a mesmer or with one.
I just finished the ember jump puzzle for the second time, followed a YouTube video which was step by step and received the "you are too fatigued to open the massive chest. You did not reach all the checkpoints. I did not get the achievement either. I have played this game which I love for 4 years and I’m am close to leaving the game because of this . I am very disappointed that this keeps happening.
That combined with when your glider opens/doesn’t open when you hit a button correctly is really aggravating.
Died within jumping puzzle and I’m not being returned to checkpoints. Got to 3rd one and had to go all that way back to waypoint. Preetttty frustrating.

I really like having one desert BL in the mix. Although I love the alpine maps and would choose them if I had to make a choice, it’s really nice to be able to play 1 desert BL map in the mix. I think having one desert BL is the perfect amount. You can play it if you like. I’m sure some people will get annoyed when it’s their turn to have it as their home BL, but they can stick to the other maps for those matches. As long as the desert map is being rotated fairly between teams I think it’s great. Nice job, ArenaNet! (I know you don’t always hear that in the forums)
Very cool! Having more single people there would make meeting other players easier too, I think.
Cool Destiny stream too, Glad. Looks a bit mmo like for sure.
Thanks, guys. This looks interesting also. May try it.
Hi all…I’ve been a pretty casual (questing/leveling/jumping puzzles) but frequent player. I enjoy WvW a lot but I’m really getting sick of always losing one on one or 2 on one battles. I bought the full set of Balthazar armor with karma before I really knew anything at all, and I’m wondering if I can make a decent build around it. It seems more for condition builds but I may be completely wrong about this. Can you just replace the runes or does it work better with the ones that came in it? Please help. What weapons should I focus on? Skills? Runes? Trinkets (I don’t even know where to get good ones or which to get). I really don’t know much about making a decent build…I just know that I’m getting hit for 6,000 damage by some players and I’m happy if my dude does 1,500 on occasion. Thanks for any help you can offer!
Good info. I’ve been wondering about this as well. Thanks for posting.
One is currently being created by Josh, I believe… not sure which secton thats been psoted at, but maybe you’ll want to check some of the dev comments and see what you can find.
Would be nice if they hand a JP-team which exclusively added more and more JPs separately from living story or other content release schedules.
I’d love that.
That’s good news. I’ll definitely keep an eye out.
How have event trains been ruined? Just hearing about this.
I still think WvW is the best option to level fast. If you play during peak hours, especially on weekends, you’re bound to find large groups that rip through towers and keeps in no time. I went from 45 to 80 in no time once I started doing that consistently. I’ve found that even if I’m getting bored of it, if you find a good group it becomes fun again.
I’ve reached the end of the jumping puzzle rainbow by doing all of them, and I’d love to see more added. It would be nice if there were more special event ones in addition to Halloween and Christmas. I really find them to be fun. Including new ones on a regular basis with living content would be great as well.
Also, I think many of us puzzle maniacs would like an achievement for completing them all, as well as a title under our name…jumping master/etc.

I’ve definitely had problems with this. I want to do dungeons, but people are impatient, unfriendly, and critical. As someone mentioned, though, it does help to create a group by pressing “y” and adding “all welcome/story mode/watching scenes/etc.” I’d like to do explorable mode more, but it’s even harder to find friendly and patient people doing that.

I love mmo’s best when I can easily join up and play with people and you don’t feel you’re playing a game alone. It’s great that we’re now seeing more people around all the pve areas and can help each other, talk, etc. Great job.
I’d still like to see more people on in wvw at later times as well.
