I am using Runes of Scavenging, because I like to be more “defensive”. I am testing, inspired by Messiah’s build, a 20/0/30/0/20 build, with longer Steal (1500 is nice!).

About the Quick Venom/Improvisation debate, I think that Quick Venom would work better for longer fights, when you need costant venoms application, while Improvvisation would be better for small and faster fights (like 1v1).
Just my 2 cents.

AFAIK, Sigil of Accuracy and Sigil of Force do not stack.

Hi, I have no idea how these API work, and I am not a software wiz.
I was just wondering if there are mods for forums like MyBB that could display on someone’s website the WvWvW map for a given server or a list of PvE events and the time till they start on that server. Is that even possible to do?

I will try to contact those guilds too, and your suggestion about guild leaders is great.
I hope this will work, because all the server will greatly benefit from it.

Not sure if this is the right place to start this thread, but I did not find any forum related to Servers’ discussion.

I play on a low-med pop server, Whiteside Ridge (EU), which is quite low in WvWvW and is having quite some troubles with Tequila.
So I was looking around for some ideas, info or news, to understand what would help us.

I found out that many GW2 servers have a server-wide forum and some have even a server-wide TS (or Vent) server (I guess with 150-200 slots at least).

Now, as far as I know, my server does not have anything like that. But maybe I am mistaken.
Otherwise, it would be very easy to set up a server-wide forum and maybe from there starting to collect some donation to start a server-wide TS server with at least 100-150 slots.

I will start to check in game if there is anyone interested in this idea, so if you want to contact me in game you can find me online on one of my characters:

LF a particular guild… good old players with family.

I am over 40yrs old, with a job, a wife, a 4yrs old kid and a dog.
My job does not allow me to organize my GW2’s evenings on advance, actually I can decide to log in not earlyer than 9:30 pm CET. And just once or twice a week.
I have played MMORPG for 10yrs more or less, from hardcore to extremely casual. Doing PvE and PvP.
But now I am looking for a very specific guild.
A guild made up by old players, who now have a family with kids, not much time to play, but want to spend those few hours in a nice relaxed “quality play time”. Doing PvE and WvWvW (and maybe even sPvP).
I am looking for a guild on Desolation or Seafarer’s Rest (I am on another server, but will transfer with no problem), an international guild, with a very active forum (I can post from work) and a good organized team for both PvE content and WvWvW.
I know it’s a very strange request, and probably there is no such guild, so… if there is no guild like this, maybe there are people like me (with very casual log-in time, but intrested in quality teamwork) who could be interested in creating a guild like that.

Anyway, I am here to find out any information about it, so please, do not be shy and post you ideas, suggestion, comments.

Just to let you know that I am back in game, and my blog will be up again.

I am stuck at this quest in my storyline: Starving the Beast
I am supposed to use a turret to destroy a ship called The Blight.
I have 3 skills once in the turret.
I manage to hit a couple of time the ship, but there are a group of undead that attack me. The NPC defending my turret and me die quite quickly, so the undead start to hit me. And I can’t finish the quest.
I tried dozen of times, but there must be something I am doing wrong.
I can hit the ship, but it takes many hits to destroy it: I managed to reach 50% in my best effort.
Is there a bug in my NPC’s since they seem so weak? Am I supposed to jump back and forth from the turret and kill the undead when they attack?
What is the right way to complete this quest?

None. IMHO it’s a waste of time and enegies to gather all those mats for just a skin.

Because I have always played rogue/assassin/thief classes as main character in any mmorpg (except for LOTRO, but that’s a different story).

Here is my thief, still have to take a decision on the colors though.

I am 76, and I play in a guild with my son (51yrs old), my two grandsons (24yrs old and 18yrs old) my granddoughter (22yrs old) and her fiancè (23yrs old). Guild name is Happy Hippo Family (and my main is called Hippo Pippo).
I just love the game, but my hands are not quick as I would like, so I have a very hard time in PvP. In PvE is not that bad.

Just kidding, I am just 44 on my ID, but only 20 in my heart and soul.

I just wanted to advertise my little new blog about the Thief profession.
I have always been involved in rogue/assassin classes in all MMORPG I played, so I decided to play a Thief in GW2.
The blog is not structured as a “teaching place”, as I don’t want to teach anything to anyone, but it’s more like a “let’s learn together” place. So contribution by everyone is extremely welcome.
Also, please note that I am not an hardcore player, but I will try to provide every info possible about the Thief profession and what I am learning about it.
