Well, that’st it. Going to have to start leveling my Ele again. I’ve found that I’m just getting bored with the repetitive skills of the Warrior at this point. There are just so many things/strategies with the Ele that I can see myself enjoying it more.
Great Q. I was wondering the same thing about leveling. My only question, is if people are going to get annoyed if I’m a lvl 45 warrior wanting to get in on AC explorable. People seem to want lvl 80 for explorables so often.
Just do the run with your main (80 exotic) then switch to the lvl 45 at the last boss instead which will make the run quicker than you doing the full run on the 45, just make sure you don’t open the instance or it will reset when you switch chars.
Ha, now all I need is a lvl 80 character! I guess I should just hope for people to run story modes until I get to lvl 80 I guess.

First off, I’m willing to move servers, but want be on one where under population isn’t an issue.
- I’m on about 15 hours per week or more
- Play all aspects of the game
- I did sPvP for a while so my highest lvl profession is a lvl40 warrior that I’m working to 80 right now
- Mostly interested in WvWvW and PvE (dungeons, etc.), but do like to sPvP too.
I’m really looking for a guild that’s active, communicates frequently (i.e. has it’s own site/forum/voice server), appreciates input from its members and realizes we all have lives outside of gaming.
My goal right now is to get to 80 as fast as possible on my main and start hitting WvWvW and dungeons regularly.
Oh, and I’m usually online from 8:30PM ish – 1AM EST on the nights that I’m playing.
With movement being so critical to combat in GW2, I think the Naga is fantastic. I only use the keyboard to strafe, move forward heal and dodge (and the interact option). All abilities are on the Naga. But in the case of the elementalist, you’d still need to key one the attunement swaps.
I have large hands and can use all 12 buttons very well. With that and having the middle mouse button bound to target nearest enemy (as a melee warrior) I can move and attack very well.
Can you imagine if shatter also granted swiftness and an increase in movement speed to the clones and phantasms? It’s frustrating to just watch them leisurely jog after their shatter target.
I have a list of skills and efects that are either not working for my Mesmer or are and are just completely useless. I try to post but I get errors so I’m just sayin, if anyone from Anet cares to respond to this I’d very much like to discuss this with one of you but I do know you’re all super busy already.
Nice! Yeah like I mentioned I am tossing up between Mesmer, Guardian and Engineer. What do you guys think of those and what would u suggest? I usually fall back on melee more than casting or ranged combat but I am trying to stay open to anything as all the mechanics look good and I have decided to stay clear of warrior.
If you’re more into melee, go with Mesmer or Guardian. Then I’d say the decision comes down to how much sPvP/WvWvW you plan on. The Mesmer is great in sPvP and decent in WvWvW,but lacks some better AOE capabilities. I can’t comment too much on the Guardian since I haven’t rolled one. My first profession was Engineer, and I see that as a pretty much completely ranged class (but a fun one).
I’ve never had any trouble in PvE with the Engineer, but the Mesmer can be very challenging and easy to die. The Mesmer just takes more work than most classes, I just like the mechanics and abilities.
I’m on TC. And it’s a fantastic server. I was in the Silvari starting area yesterday and ran across about 5 or 6 players sitting on a giant lilly pad in the middle of a pool RPing.
Plus, the WvWvW is great as well as we’re always putting up a good fight or winning in the matches thus far.
I found this out today: if you hold the right mouse button (as for turning), you can actually move by holding the left button as well.
Be careful with this in combat. If you left click anywhere while attacking, they you will have your target de-selected. Makes it not fun to try and focus another player or mob. I only realized this today, and am going to have to force myself to stop using both mouse buttons to move forward any longer.
I wish there was some kind of option to not let a left-mouse-click deselct your current target, unless you were clicking on another.
I’ve seen this bug too. Applying the buff as soon as the clone/phantasm spawns wouldn’t unbalance anything either. Bottom line is the the clones and phantasms just don’t last long enough to benefit from the delayed application of the signet’s buff.
