Would I be better off using a GS then?
I have recently come back to GW2 after 5 months of absence and my question.
Is a Berserker dual axe build viable in WvW non zerg scenario. I prefer to roam with a small group of 5 or so.
If the answer is yes could anyone recommend a reliable build?
I have just tried Greatsword and I’m not sure I like it so would like to use the Dual axe setup I used to use.

@ Lyonell
You hit the nail on the head. I run dual axe and the fact that Whirling Axe hits all around you in a 360° attack makes it awesome when you storm out of a besieged keep into the zerg. Plus the fact you can move/dodge while in the attack makes it very good for this type of situation.
At the end of the day it all comes down to the situation and play style of the player.
I use Sigil of Rage Quit on my main hand axe and Sigil of Bloodlust on my off hand axe.
Love it.

If you are going to get a Naga probably best to get the Hex version. It has only 6 side buttons rather then 12 but would be less confusing to use and because the buttons are slightly larger and not crammed together I would imagine its easier to use.
A lot of the warrior abilities are actually broken so the warrior needs fixing not nerfing.
I used to own a Naga but couldn’t get on with it. Just to many kitten buttons lol. I do however use a Steelseries Merc keyboard which I picked up for £15 on Amazon and it works a treat.
Pictured below.

The Arbor GG guild has a somewhat taunting guild name aswell, as if it was brushing it into the nose of our GG. Maybe it’s my imagination, and I don’t care much either, just wanted to add my intel on the topic.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Welcome to the server maximumpanda.5178 hope you guys enjoy it.
^_^
I got 99 problems but the map size ain’t one.
Sorry just had to
I’m sorry but the people playing on the same server as the hacker should call him/her out. Report them.
Yes when I found out the CDs are shared I cried a little inside
This would all explain why my Sigil of Rage does not work with another Sigil of Rage. Also I used Sigil of Rage with Sigil of Strengh. This also does not work.
Below are some interesting notes I found on the GW2 wiki website. Weather any or all of these are true or are working correctly is another matter.
Notes
Sigils that hold a charge per kill cannot be stacked (i.e. +5 power per kill and +5 condition damage per kill), one or the other shows up. This applies even if you swap weapons. For example, if you had two different “On kill stacking stat bonuses” sigils on two different weapons, only the sigil of the weapon you make a kill with first will take effect. If you swap weapons and make a kill, the sigil from the second weapon will not take effect.
Charging and non charging sigils can be stacked.
Sigils that trigger on critical hits can trigger on any critical hits; the critical does not need to be scored with the associated weapon’s skills. For example, a character with an off hand weapon imbued with a Sigil of Rage can still gain quickness with a critical hit with their first three skills.
Sigils that have a chance to trigger on critical hits stack their chance percentages multiplicatively, not additively. For example, two major Sigils of Fire, which each have a 20% chance to trigger on critical hit, will have a 36% chance to trigger, not 40%.
Sigils that trigger on critical hits will not trigger on critical hits caused by mesmer illusions. It is unknown if this is true with other summons.
A single cooldown is shared by all sigils active effects cannot occur for the duration (i.e. a Sigil of Rage will prevent the activated effect of another Sigil of Battle/Strength/Air/Geomancy for 45 seconds but will not affect the passive effect of a Sigil of Smoldering/Force for the cooldown).
The weapon in the mainhand triggers active effects before the offhand.
Tom, I know your not Anet but do you think they intended it to work this way or its a bug?
I might try a stacking sigil on the off hand like the one that stacks Power up to 25 times on kill. I think that might work.
You know Tom I didn’t consider that and I think you are right. I might test it again tonight and see what happens.
Has anyone else noticed that only the sigils on your main hand weapon seem to take effect and any sigils on a off hand weapon have a diminishing effect. I did some playing around last night. I found that if I used a +% chance sigil on both weapons only the main hand would take effect and the off hand never proced at all.
I then went on to test a different off hand sigil to the main hand and it hardly proced at all but the main hand was procing all the time.
I swapped the weapons around and love and behold the sigil that was on the off hand but now in the main hand was procing all the time and the original signil was not procing.
Do you think this was intended by Anet or just a bug. Try it for yourself and report back with your findings also.
Yes I know what you mean. I often find my self shouting spin to win kids on Teamspeak when I use my axe 5 move.
^_^
Maybe they added cloaking device’s in the patch and forgot to add it to patch notes?

Thinking of using this as me new damage, crit build. Its a edit of my original build I have been using. I run Dual Axe with the Draconic Berserker set (Power, Precision, Crit Dmg %).
I play WvW and I know this type of build is usually frowned upon (glass cannon) but I like being able to put out a lot of burst.
I run a dual axe damage/crit build at the moment and love it. Yes I’m not the toughest warrior on the battlefield it just means you have to play smart and pick and choose your fights. Not a bad thing if you ask me.

Any ideas I could use to tweak the build would be much appreciated.
I love this Signet. Enough said
@Nocturn
If you really honestly market yourself as a WvW guild at all i would expect you guys to deliver to the proud people of Desolation a great victory on Desolation borderlands where we understood you were going to be in the first place.
Give a credible reason for calling yourself a TOP TIER WvW guild and show us what you can do. Deliver to us Desolation Garrison and keep it from morning till dawn, make your server proud.
Don’t give up just because we are last. As a wise man once said -
“When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade – make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your kitten lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I’m going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!”
@Rezo
And you claim to be a “TOP TIER WvW guild”? Not from what I have seen over the last few nights. I took the effort to follow 2 of your commander just to see how you roll. What a complete disaster that was. Never again. I prefer our 5-10 man roaming groups as they are far more effective. Especially at denying the enemy team supplies.
Not from what I have experienced.
I mash #1 just to be safe. Good habit to get into imo.
Thats all well and good but it results in you not getting your double chop and triple chop.
I don’t know if its just an issue I’m having but does anyone else have issues hitting people in WvW with dual axe.
I will paint a picture of the kind of issues I’m having. I run up to someone then start auto attacking but auto attack seems to stop as soon as the target moves even a short distance away, Even though they are still in range of the swing animation of the axe. It seems you have to be standing right on top of them for the attacks to hit.
Now this could just be lag issues in Wvw.
Just putting this out there but has anyone else experienced this?
Discussed in thread

I think I might add it to the warrior bug compilation.
Thanks for the clarification. Glad its not just me.
I love my double speed executions. Please do NOT remove

I’m a crit build dual axe warrior and love it. Much prefer it to Great sword but it all comes down to personal opinion.
In a way I can see where the OP is coming from in regards to WvW and having to use ranged so you don’t get sucked into the many zergs.
I have tried going close many times and it usually results in a rather expensive repair bill.
Just trying to avoid the mass AOE spam up close is a challenge in itself.
EDIT
Forgot to mention the invisible targets as well.
(edited by The Monk.3672)
You cannot ask for one specific thing to be fixed and completely ignore the other abuses related to it as well. Doesn’t work like that.
Yes but the catapult fires horizontally where as the usual AOEs rain down…
Well all they need to do it add it to the catapult I didn’t say anything about any other AOE.
I really do hope they can fix it. Its a big annoyance and I’m sure the mechanic wasn’t supposed to work this way.
I would have to agree with some things costing to much. My pet hate has to be the armour repair costs. Playing as a warrior your expected to get up close and personal but the main thing that stops me from doing this is a hefty repair bill every time I get knocked down which is inevitable playing as such close quarters…
Well you guys/girls on GH certainly need to do something looking at the scores right now ¬_¬
Good luck with the alliances.
Right now most of us are at work.
Actually I am going to start a new set of complaints all with night capping, people should whine about the unemployed and students playing. Ticks should only happen when tax payers are home. No nightime ticks and no ticks from 9- 5.
Will it catch on?
As a serious aside what are the various server popluation at this time, anyone able to screen shot it, who is full in EU etc?
Its an interesting concept but I don’t think it will catch on
Below is the build I’m using combined with Berserker gear +Power Precision % Crit damage and it is working very well with dual Axe and rifle. Love using it with a Sigil of Rage on either Axe. Quickness for the win O_O

Might need to copy and paste the link into browser…
I will consider it.
On a side note I’m still open to offers (guild offers
I might be interested in joining. Do you have much of a member presence in the evenings? Also do you guys have a mumble server? If not you could probably come onto the UKCS mumble server as we have a GW2 channel.
Basicly putting the feelers out looking for a WvW guild on the EU Desolation server. Looking for a mid to large group older players casual etc.
I play a lvl 80 Warrior.
Regards
-Monk (ingame Girreth)
I play on Desolation and have had some really good fights over the past few days. I really don’t know why you feel the need to team up with the French when the scores are so close.
