Legendary Crafting - Recover from a mistake?

The Scarlet Raven.5416

Ok, I’m attempting to craft Nevermore and I think i just blew it. Need some advice for the best way to recover my progress.

I just finished up the collection for tier 1 of Nevermore’s precursor and got the collection reward. However I opened it and accidentally clicked on the recipe on a character that isn’t an artificer. She’s a weaponsmith. My artificer can’t see any of the recipes i just unlocked, only my weaponsmith can see them when I go to the artificer station.

Is the only solution to train up this character to 500 artificing as well?

Nothing ANet can do will help against phishing.

Thought this was fitting when I saw it last Monday.

I thought the same thing. We’ve had 3 officers in our guild hacked. These are all adults with college degrees and yet they fell for simple tricks. It seems that this latest round of hacks are attacking e-mail accounts. If your game is tied to a major e-mail provider (yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc) then be careful. Your email password should be just as complex as your game password. Also make sure it’s never used elsewhere.

Years ago, my gw1 account was stolen. However I got lucky. The thieves were never able to log into the account because of the extra character name prompt on the login screen. They got my account thru Guru, a popular fansite. Guru had their database hacked and exposed lots of usernames and passwords. The admins at the site put out a message instantly warning everyone that if you were dumb enough to use the same password for the game and the fansite, you were at risk. I had a strong unique game password so I wasn’t worried. My guru password was a common throwaway one I use on forums.

A month later, my GW account was stolen. While trying to recover it I discovered my NCSoft master account that I had set up for a free storage pane and completely forgotten about. That master account had the same throwaway password on it. Ooops.

Thanks Ceres, but you didn’t really read my post. All the instructions are for Windows 7 which I don’t have.

Anyways, I think i’ve solved it. I googled vpns for Vista and found a youtube video with nice simple instructions (for my nice simple mind) for VPN connections in Vista and it appears to be working. (This is after reading all I could on the internet in the last hour on what a vpn is and should I trust a site i’ve never heard of? Most reviewers that I trust gave the site a thumbs up.)

Well….at least I’ve passed the 4% download mark now and well on my way to 30%. It’s progress!

Oh well, maybe the download will be done by the weekend.

Maybe I’ll be calling my cable company and pricing their service by the weekend too.

If Anet didn’t see any evidence of a hack then is it possible that this is the work of an “evil little brother” or disgruntled boyfriend or family that would have had access to her computer while she was at work? Perhaps someone pulling a rather mean prank?

I know you said a keylogger was found, but maybe it was put there by someone she knows.

Also, it’s odd that the hacker replied to your ingame PM. Usually hackers will quickly strip an account and leave. They won’t bother with small talk. That is another sign that this was possibly someone she knows.

Guild Vault Access for deposit/withdrawl

It’s likely just a timing thing. I’m pretty sure “new” guild members aren’t allowed access to the guild bank as a safety pre-caution. We’ve all seen jerks that ask for a guild invite, loot the bank then leave. (Yeah, I know. The obvious answer is just not to set newbies permissions for bank, but a lot of guilds do).

I’m not sure what the time limit is, but try again tomorrow or just wait a week. Since you left the guild and returned the game is treating you the same as a new guildie. If you need something immediately then perhaps your friend can withdraw it and mail it to you.

Map Completion - Metrics on Player Anger?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: The Scarlet Raven.5416

The Scarlet Raven.5416

Here’s my feelings on the subject.

I’m basically a PvE’er that dabbles in WvW a bit. I’m not good at PvP and generally don’t enjoy it. If i’m caught out on the map alone pretty much any half-decent PvP’er can take me down, but I’ll spend time as a “mindless zergling” having fun on the map, taking keeps and earning points. I have 100% map completion on 3 characters and I did it mostly by solo roaming, or roaming with a friend over the course of about 2 months.

However, I understand Wreave’s argument and I respect his position. Basically, he’s saying that he feels ArenaNet is coercing him into a WvW map and he doesn’t like that! Therefore he’s rebeling and refusing to enter WvW on principle. That’s his choice. I’d like to encourage him to change his mind and try it out once. He may absolutely hate it, but then again, he may not.

On the other hand, I don’t understand the argument of “ArenaNet is forcing me to PvP and I don’t like that!!!!!” Guess what? They aren’t. You can finish 100% map without ever PvP’ing. Ever. Even if you’re on a bad server. Several of the points (the ones within Keeps, Garrisons and Stonemist) are accessible without ever leaving a “safe zone” if your server has built a waypoint in those areas. Several more are in “open map” areas that you can run to and tag without breaking down enemy forts. Others will be in towers that your server owns and you can make a mad dash into those towers. Its really not as dangerous on these maps as it sounds. There aren’t enemy commandos hiding in every bush waiting to pounce on the poor unsuspecting PvE’er.

If you truly hate PvP and don’t ever ever want to encounter an enemy player that’s fine. You can fully map these zones without seeing an enemy. It will just take you longer to do so than someone who participates in the action.

Squirrel, it’s a nice idea but it doesn’t work. I’ve seen that with other games. Let’s say for example the spam site is www.goldspamRus.com.

You get a spam pm something like: “Shop now at www.goldspamRus.com!! Cheap prices!!!!”

Anet blocks the website name and next you get: “Shop now at www.g0ld$pamRus.com Cheap!!”

Another round of filtering and next you see “Shop @ www.g o l d $ p a m R u s.com!!”

Anet does some more filtering and now you get spammed with “Shop now. We meet all your MMO adventuring needs. Cheap prices. www.tinyurl.com/……”

It’s a lot of work on Anet’s end for no results. I wish it worked. If it did I’d be all for it.

Uh oh. I have about 9,900 achievement points and i already get about 1 spam message a day from these folks. Sounds like its about to get worse.

Yes, i report each one that spams me. I don’t block because that seems unnecessary. I never receive more than 1 spam from the same account. I do believe that they are getting banned quickly after the reports because I see them go “offline” within a half hour, but there’s always a fresh account to take it’s place.

I’d love an option to only allow pm’s from folks on the same server as you. I don’t want to restrict it to friends only or guildies only since i do receive random pm’s from folks on the same map sometimes that are legit.

I don’t like the armor either. If i saw a woman IRL walking down the street in a similiar shirt, I would make an immediate assumption about her moral character. It’s completely inappropiate.

However, this isn’t real life. It’s a game. I remember reading an article one of the devs wrote during the Beta period about ingame armor. He was talking about the variety of armors that would be available when the game launched and I remember he explicitedly mentioned the “practical” vs. “skimpy” armors that female warriors generally wear. He said that A-net realizes that some gamers hate the skimpy armors and want their characters to wear clothes that are realistic and practical to fight Ogres with but that it’s also a game and some male gamers have certain expections when it comes to fantasy Amazon Warrior Women outfits. They wanted to be sure the game had a wide range of armors that would please both sides.

Bottom line: It’s a game. And it’s rated Teen. There is no nudity and the armors overall are a lot tamer than some games out there. Personally, I hate that armor and would never wear it, but my characters are wearing some skimpy outfits that I’d never be caught dead wearing irl.

Here’s my medium armor choice: I’ve been pm’d ingame and told I look like a biker chick.

also, you don’t seem to know exactly how domains work:
you go to a registrar and apply for a new domain. this is an electronic process of course and only takes a few minutes to complete (including the payment of a few dollars except in special cases), but still, it’s not instant. then you need to enter a nameserver which has to be configured to serve information about this domain. either you host yourself, which is fast (if you have the technical skill – which I doubt an average goldseller has, it can be a bit tricky), or you need to enter the necessary information at your webhoster (and not all of them automate this or even allow infinite domains).
by now you would on average have spent about 15 to 30 minutes, except if it’s something you do all the time (in the mentioned instance: so far never).

It’s a nice thought, Oranisagu….but it doesn’t work. Trust me, I played another game that went the blacklisting route and it was an ineffective nightmare. For example, let’s say the gold spammer sends out the following message:

“Cheap gold! Buy now from us at www.spamalotgold.com!!!” The game company responses and blacklists the website.

The next message is “Cheap gold!! Buy now! vvwvv.spamalotgol d.com”. This version is now blacklisted.

Next: “Cheap g o l d!!! Buy at wvvw.s p a m a l o t g o l d . c o m!!” This is also put on the blacklist.

Next comes: “Cheap gold!! Find us at www.tinyurl.com/something”

In the meantime, you send a mail to your friend saying, “hey, I just got a strange looking mail from spamalot.com. Are you getting that junk too?” and you get banned for triggering the blacklist.

I think you get the idea. Blacklists just don’t work.

Guldlock & Goreville, I have another suggestion that may help you out.

Like Gaile said, they will not release already taken names. If the account is dormant then i’m afraid you’re outta luck, but how about accent marks? Several folks in my guild have gone that route and I’ve also seen “copies” of my own name.

One of my characters is named, “Dara”. I stayed up late on release night to try and snag it and was successful. However I’ve also gotten many mail messages and guild invites that were meant to go to “Dàra” or “Dára”.

Perhaps you could snag the name “Göreville”.

Queue timers - How do they work?

in WvW

Posted by: The Scarlet Raven.5416

The Scarlet Raven.5416

Ok, i’m sure i’m not the only one to have this question, so if there’s already a nice long thread on the subject I’d appreciate a link. I searched around a bit and didn’t see anything but I also wasn’t sure which forum was best for this thread. I’ll start here.

I play casual WvW. I’m not much of a PvP’er but i do enjoy an evening helping out my server in the Eternal Battlegrounds from time to time. Here’s my issue: The wait queue to get in.

Now, I understand that I need to wait my turn. If the map is full and 100 more players want in then i’ll have to wait. What I don’t understand is how the game decides priority. Logically, I would think it would be first queued/first in, but it doesn’t work that way. I’ll queue up with 5 of my guildmates and they’ll travel in 10 minutes and I’ll still be waiting an hour later. (Insert “Wahhh!! It’s not fair!!!” here).

So, how does the queue decide who to let in? Are commanders prioritized? Does it depend on your WvW rank with higher ranks going in first? If so, that kinda makes sense but usually my guildmates are even lower rank than I am so I don’t think that’s the answer.

Guild leader rank

in Account & Technical Support

Posted by: The Scarlet Raven.5416

The Scarlet Raven.5416

Sorry, I have to disagree with ya, Squirrel. Like you said, if you leave your guild in that position then it’s poor planning and so someone else needs to clean up the mess.

You also said that a good leader will appoint a 2nd in command with all the privileges. If that’s the case then no action is needed and I agree, no action should happen. Everything will remain as it is and the 2nd will fulfill all the guild responsibilities. However if you decide to take a 180 day break from the game and leave the guild stranded with no one with permissions then what are they supposed to do? In this case, I think the game should take action. You can retain your leader rank with all it’s permissions, but I believe the most senior officer should then be promoted to Co-leader and given all of your permissions except that he cannot kick you or take away your permissions.

We had a milder version happen to us one evening. When the guild missions were first released we took a week to build them and planned a special guild event for the evening when the builds would be done. There was about 40 or 50 of us online and eager to start the first boss bounty when we discovered that no one except the leader had permission to kick off a mission, and he was offline for the evening. We were stuck. Fortunately, a few of the senior officers had his cell number and they called and told him to get in here and bump up our permissions.

LOL, i’m still laughing at the way the kitty cat censor butchered your post. I didn’t realize that word was that offensive, but I suppose in some circles it is.

In GW1 when a leader leaves guild/got banned/steps down/or simply stops playing then the next senior officer would be auto-promoted in his place. That would be the highest ranking officer that has been in your guild the longest. I’m assuming something similiar is in place for GW2, however if you want a better answer you should contact support and ask them.

Tink has the best answer, IMO. Is there someone in your guild that could lend you the gold to list it on the condition that you pay them back when it sells? I’d do that for a guildmate that I trusted.

If you aren’t close enough with anyone to feel comfortable with that option then your only choice really is to try and earn enough gold yourself. You can do some farm runs in Orr and Southsun. Plenty of youtube videos out there on “how to earn gold” or you can buy the gems and convert to gold (not recommended).

Yeah, we’ve thought of that but there are 2 issues there.

1. Probably can’t get it to him today. However, I think Walmart.com and Amazon most likely could.

2. Minimum is $25 and we really didn’t want to spend that much on him. $10 for the sickle is what we planned.

I guess I really wish Arenanet had a gift option in the store that would allow us to buy items for other accounts. They could set it up identical to how it works today. You purchase an item and it’s e-mailed to you, but on the mail have a new “forward item” button along with the take item. If you take it, it’s account bound. If you forward then it’s account bound to that person.

The Scarlet Raven.5416

Here’s the dilemma. Today is a guildmate’s birthday. He absolutely loves gathering and is constantly stopping to mine/chop/harvest something so for his birthday we want to buy him one of the new sickles.

How?

The sickle itself is account bound so that’s non-transferable. We planned to just buy the gems and give him the gems but that’s also account bound. The next option was to exchange the gems into gold, but I’ll lose so much money doing it that way. (800 gems becomes 19 gold 58 silver which exchanges back to 581 gems).

It’s a pity there isn’t an option on the exchange to buy stuff for another account. I suppose it’s a safety in case a hacker gets on your account, but the hacker could just exchange the gems to gold and mail them.

Am I overlooking anything? Any advice?

Most likely this is a “wrong person” typo’d mail. Your account name is Martin. Do you happen to have a character named “Martin” as well? The reason I ask is because I have 2 characters on my account, Dara and Kidd. Both are short names and easily typo’d. I’ve received many many many PMs, mails and guild invites that were meant instead for “Dora”, “Kid”, “D?ra”, “Dãra”, or any other combination of accent marks you can come up with.

1.) Huh?? Friends aren’t a valid reason? What have you been drinking? Our guild carefully researched servers before the game went live. We looked at fan forums and looked to see what servers other guilds were joining and what kinds of communities those servers would likely have. We chose Sanctum of Rall as our home server and have been very happy with it. If I wanted to change servers I’d have to convince my 100+ member guild to change with me (good luck with that) or leave my friends and guild and strike out on my own.

2.) How about just treating a player with some respect rather than “Stupid noob. L2play you moron!”

3.) Our personal guild buffs also benefit dungeon runs.

4.) Um, not all of us have 200g in the bank.

5.) Not a valid argument. Personally, I don’t have a legendary but those that do show them off to impress the players around them whether those are others in the dungeon run, in WvW, sPvP or simply the others they pass while running thru Lion’s Arch.

6.) I’m sure they would make a difference and I’m also sure there are many players out there that would love WvW if they tried it once, but they haven’t tried it. That’s either because they truly have no interest in PvP or because PvP in other games has scared them away from it with all the trash talk.

If you really do want to generate more interest in WvW on your server then take the first step. Advertise in Lion’s Arch for a “beginner WvW night for noobs”. Explain that it will be a friendly tutorial to get players that are new to PvP interested. Contact some officers in the large PvE guilds on your server and see if they’ll help support your idea. Set up a voice server and have some patient PvP veterans available that evening to help explain things. You’ll likely find some folks that discover WvW is a lot more fun than they thought it would be and those players will in turn talk their friends into joining them.

What's your favourite Jumping Puzzle?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Overall my favorite is The Obsidian Sanctum. It’s by far the biggest, longest jump puzzle in the game and the scope of it is just awesome. I thoroughly enjoy running it from time to time. However, I’m not very good at PvP. (Ok, I admit it. I’m downright lousy at PvP) so I usually only attempt to run it if we own all 3 keeps.

Next, I’d have to say I enjoy the Hidden Garden. The area really is gorgeous and you get some nice views up on top of the cliffs.

Why's there legendaries on the TP?

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: The Scarlet Raven.5416

The Scarlet Raven.5416

I have to agree with the OP. I remember the devs talking in an interview about Legendary weapons pre-launch. The way they described them was awesome! These legendaries are the cream of the crop! The best of the best and will take A LOT of effort to obtain. I remember them saying that not every player would be able to get one. Players would have to prove their mastery of lots of different areas of the game and prizes from all different aspects of the game would be required for a Legendary. A player would need to explore Pve, master PvP, beat dungeons, etc for one of these weapons.

It sounded really cool and I was excited to try and earn one. Now it turns out this isn’t the case. Some guy that spends 90% of his game time in Lion’s Arch flipping items on the Black Lion Post can buy a legendary. Even if he’s never set foot in a dungeon, couldn’t care less about the storyline, has explored 5% of the world and never even attempted PvP.

Although on the other hand I was really expecting different requirements for the Legendary. Like instead of so many t6 mats, instead require most play diversity. For example, award a special token for completing your personal story that is required for the weapons. Instead of 500 dungeon tokens from this dungeon, require 75 tokens from each of them. Require WvW kills (which it does) and also require sPvP kills or rank. Require a certain % of weapon mastery achievements and slayer achievements and award a special “Gift of Agility” for completing at least 75% of the jump puzzles.

Now that would truly be a legendary weapon! However I also realize that most players would absolutely HATE those requirements which is probably why A-net didn’t go down that path.

Noting the image below, I can note that Choo actively utilizes the community server for their community led battles, but I have honestly never seen GSCH, FV, PSY, and many other guild tags in the TS server. I am going to make an educated guess and say that it is more than likely that this group of SoR invaders in the image had no verbal communication other than through their respective guilds.

I think we do just fine the way that we currently operate. I relay messages across chat just fine. Some GSCH will use TS but I will not require it. There’s a whole lot of foul language and explicit talk there and many of our crew has young kids that play with us. I don’t want them getting an epic new vocabulary while we’re trying to have a good time.

One other thing you need to think about is that Sanctum of Rall is the official home of the largest Christian Gaming Alliance in MMO’s today. They were here at the birth of this server and still make a large part of our community. If we are turned off by the language I’m certain they are as well. We use RaidCall because there’s a more mature and respectful policy in place that doesn’t allow for vulgarities to run rampant. We provide a child safe environment 24/7.

IF the TS server held a similar policy in place and we could bring our children and friends with us and not be exposed to constant vulgarities, trolling, and insults we would consider using it. But I’m not going to subject my friends, family, or comrades to that. Until then I will continue doing what I can to relay messages and let those GSCH that are willing to sit in TS to continue to sit in TS and relay.

I feel the exact same way. I’m on SoR and I visited the server ts once. That was enough for me. The trash talk and vulgar language turned me off quickly. We have a commander in our guild that regularly visits the ts and relays any important messages to us but he also recommends that we don’t use the server.

Personally, I play video games to relax and have fun. Yes, PvP many times is not relaxing but it is a lot of fun to try your absolute best to win at all costs. It’s not fun to have to listen to an ill-tempered commander dropping F bombs all evening.

Stealth Rezzing?

There are two TC thieves doing this bug to cap towers. From my stand point I disapprove of this method. just be on the look out for them.

Hmmm, from the conversations in this thread, I think i have my answer. The dead players were indeed TC. The stealthed thieves were likely using this trick to stay hidden within the tower. The rezzes weren’t fast and the first time I wasn’t even sure if he was rezzing at first. I’d glance at the corpse and see some red on the bar, then a little bit more, but still not sure if it was more health or just my imagination. Soon though you could tell he was gaining health.

Overall probably took around a minute or so to fully rez these guys.

As far as what skills I saw, I can’t answer that. I haven’t played a thief much and I’m not familiar with their skills. I don’t know exactly what Shadow Refuge is or what it looks like (But I’ll find out). I just know that it’s possible for thieves to stay stealthed for a long time. However i thought they would still take damage if you managed to blindly hit where they are standing.

I think i need to start playing my thief more and learn their mechanics better.

Theory 1..I would (if I were to back up this theory) assume that they had multiple thieves who can throw down refuge in a cycle. My question to you: did you or anyone see the house thingy pop up? (that would be from a thief) if there wasn’t one present, and the dead were still rezzing, I would have no idea.

If I am being nit picky, however, how would you be able to run after someone who’s stealthed? You can’t see them so how can you run after them? ..blahblah neither here nor there.

Yeah, I kinda knew revive orbs couldn’t be used but threw it out as an option. Who knows what some people figure out can work.

About the house….yes we did see a house pop up but only a split second before the dead guys fully rezzed. It wasn’t there the whole time they were rezzing.

And as far as running after them….yes, you’re right we couldn’t see them but we could see where our damage numbers were falling and we kept running to those. Didn’t take too long to down them since we were throwing a LOT of AOE.

Hi there. I’m looking for some knowledgable opinions on this situation. I’m still learning all the ins and outs of the game mechanics in WvW and I honestly don’t understand what I saw.

Here’s the situation. Green team owned Quentin Lake tower in EB the other night and we formed up a zerg to take it back. We took the tower (Blue) and then our zerg rushed off to Umber to take it back as well. We reached Umber, took it and then noticed that Quentin was owned by Red. Probably less than 5 minutes had passed.

Huh? I could understand if we had just taken it from Red. Likely a hidden mesmer that we didn’t find. But Green owned the place before us. My best guess is a well hidden mesmer/thieves that had been there awhile.

Ok, whatever. We zerged on back to Quentin and turned the place Blue again then 5 of us stayed behind and started sweeping for stealthed players. This is where it gets weird…… There were 2 dead reds on the wall. While we were standing beside their bodies we noticed their health bars going up. Rezzing. Okaaaaay? How is that possible? They fully rezzed and immediately stealthed on rez. We ran after them with all the AOE in our arsenal and killed both again. And again they rezzed. Again, we killed. Rez. Kill. You get the idea. Finally they teleported out.

So, what happened?

Theory #1: Stealthed player(s) was rezzing them. Ok, this sounds the most plausible, but we were throwing down some heavy heavy AOE on their corpses the whole time they were rezzing. Why didn’t this reveal a player or at least show us damage #s?

Theory #2: Revive Orbs?

Theory #3: Hack. But I really hate to go there unless there truly is no other explanation. I see too many folks cry HACK! when it’s simply that the enemy is a good player that knows a few tricks.

Opinions? I’d like to learn this new trick.

What kinds of things do you miss from GW 1?

The one simple item that I miss is the ability to focus your camera on another player in your party when you’re dead.

Personally, I prefer rp style names for my characters, but I have no problem with names that others come up with unless they’re truly offensive.

Here’s a few that have stood out in my head.
A guildie said pre-launch that he was planning a Sylvari Warrior named “Four Leaf Cleaver”. Not sure if he created him or not.
pet: puddy tat
From gw1, a necro named Daddys Lil Nitemare
Also from gw1, “Woodsy the Owl”. I saw Woodsy once in DOA advertising for a full run DOA group. “Give a Hoot! Join our Group!” Sounds like a pug I would have had fun with. I’ve also seen Woodsy around in GW2, but not since beta. He probably joined a diff server.

They also added un-ided dye to the black lion chests so that was a huge influx of dye into the game and probably what caused the drop.

Confusion about In-Game RMT Mail

in Account & Technical Support

The Scarlet Raven.5416

Getting a person’s account name is nothing special. All you have to do is target a player and simply right click and “report” them and the account name will show up in the report box. You don’t have to actually send a report to see the name. You can also see account names of your guildies and friends.

It was a common trick used to find and whisper opponents in WvW but that has since been taken out of the game.

The bots probably just stand around LA all day and harvest account names that are then added to a master spam list somewhere. When the game was newer I was getting at least 10 mail spams a day. I’d log in at night and my mailbox was completely full from the spammers. It was annoying because legit messages from friends couldn’t get through. Lately it’s been better. Nowadays I get about 3 or 4 a week.

Is account sharing bannable?

The Scarlet Raven.5416

I would strongly recommend against account sharing and just wait for the next “free trial” event.

It’s not always a matter of trusting your friend. Your friend can be completely trustworthy yet still put your account in danger. Here are a few scenarios that come to mind:

Scenario #1: Tommy, your bestest friend since 1st grade wants to try the game. You trust Tommy. He’d never betray you. So you give him your login account and password. Tommy was true to his word. He played on your account for a week then decided to buy his own account. What you don’t realize is that Tommy loves to surf the web. A LOT. He downloads every free video, song, and pirated piece of software he can get his hands on. His computer probably has 5 different trojans on it and one of those trojans just picked up your account credentials.

Scenario #2: Your little brother wants to play on your account for a bit. You don’t trust him with your password. It’s kinda an embarrassing password and if you told him what it was, he’d laugh and spread it all over school in a week. So you sign in and just let him play on the account for a few hours. The next day you find your account banned. Why? Well your little brother is a bit of a dork. He thought it was funny to spam “Poopy head” over and over and over in Lion’s Arch for a half hour.

Scenario #3: You would love it if your girlfriend, Jenny would play the game with you so you give Jenny your password and have her try it for a bit. She logs in and plays and kinda likes the game but not as much as you do. She doesn’t want to buy it but instead just uses your account now and then. That’s fine……. Until you and Jenny have a major fight and you decide Amanda is much cuter and nicer anyways. Jenny gets mad and she still has your password. I think you know where this one is heading.

Bugged World Bonuses

Hi there,

This is also a problem for me and most of my friends that I party with. I’ve been on Sanctum of Rall since launch so this isn’t a server transfer issue in my case. When I hover over the WvW icon at the top, it shows “World vs World [b]” and that’s it. I didn’t realize anything was wrong until I saw the post on the forum with the image showing bonuses.

I really don’t know how it’s supposed to work and would like some clarification. Should I see the bonuses all the time or only if I’m in WvW? Should I only see them on characters that have participated in WvW battles? And if so, is there a current level of participation that I need before they appear?

I dabble in WvW but I’m not a dedicated PvP player. Currently I see no bonuses. Yesterday I was in WvW and a guildmate said he had the outmanned bonus on him. I didn’t receive it even though we were in the same party and on the same WvW map.
