What’s the best EU server with organized english-speaking guilds?

hey jed.. one guy from JQ wearing your tag was exploiting bay last night.

Did you manage to get a lock on the actual character, because the tag says little to nothing.

For example, I spotted this wonderful gentleman a few weeks ago on SoR:

It is early to say but seems this week results might be a repeat of last week and the trend being SoR moving slowly as the new T1 contender. Keep up the good work guys!

Agreed. Two things come to mind, first, momentarily the appearances can be deceiving and secondly in the light of the new transfers it will happen naturally .
Slow but steady wins the race.

It’s “Zallos Rek” on JQ that is hiding in the map and breaking the doors.

When I was camping by BG’s garrison waiting for the exploiter to come back, I saw a green dot appear at watergate, so I ran towards it and as I was running up the stairs, I saw the names of everything around through the walls (like what sometimes happens, I’m sure you’ve all seen this) and I clearly saw the name “Zallos Rek” in the wall.

Open question to BlackGate Commanders,

If you really want to get back to the second spot you have to focus on taking red objectives not greens. For the last two days on several maps I have witnessed many commanders going for green targets which does not affect the amount of points red gets.

Because BG is fighting for 1st place, not 2nd. SOR is also fighting for 1st place.

Incidentally, JQ NA primetime has softer targets in general than SOR. If JQ had harder targets, BG would naturally tend to attack SOR.

This is not the case.

I do not think BG is fighting for 1st place at least that is not what I hear on vent/ts and what I read in chat. BG can NOT get to second place fighting two servers at the same time so saying it wants 1st place is incorrect imo.

My interpretation, as someone who mostly wvw alone/small groups, is that red woke up this week worried that they would be pushed back to tier 2 and blue is having to fight both green and red at the same time like this weekend where in EB you had the whole green server on one side of the keep and the whole red server on the other side with both NOT capturing the BG Keep and green waiting for red to make a move.

In my honest opinion I think Green is not purposefully aiding red but they are also working to make sure Blue does not get second place as I feel they may be worried that blue may become a serious contender.

I saw one server using a 70 man zerg last night. I do not think you organize that unless you are worried about your opponent. Now this is just me personally commenting on what I observe. I do not have any involvement with server politics/guilds and my guild only has one member…me, (I am done with hardcore raiding/guilds after wow)

One day I would love to see Jade, BG and Kaineng on the same map

no disrespect to Kaineng, but they are barely winning T2, don’t see how that would be fun for anyone.

In every mmo I move my character exclusively with mouse if not possible I dont play such games
In gw2 its possible to move char exclusively with mouse but there are 2 big problems with that
1. I need to hold both mouse buttons to move forward (not possible to bind only right click to move forward)
2. Right click targeting/interaction

The second problem was such a frustrating/annoying thing for me that I wanted to entirely quit the game for good

But I have found workaround for both of those problems
For the workaround you need
1. Mouse capable of macro recording
2. Combat mode addon v 1.1

So I installed combad mode which does this when enabled
It sticks crosshair in the middle of the screen.
When moving mouse, it moves the camera (not only the mouse cursor)

Then using the mouse software to macro right click as W
I can now move my char. forward only with rightclick, without interacting with environment

Yea try doing that with a D/D ele..

I started playing about two hours ago and you guys have not wiped us once while we wiped you over 10 times. I can’t speak for before that though. Great fights though!!!

The pain train maybe wiped like 4 times. but we wiped so many of you guy’s the JQ garrison was epic, we did get wiped by JQ but it was funny when the wall wont down on top of BG attackers <3 bags.

I just came across this thread (and the dev response), and all I can say is…lol.

Most of the time, I play with a 360 controller using XPadder, so this issue doesn’t effect me much. But sometimes when I’m playing a ranged build, or anything with a large amount of ground targeting, I switch to keyboard and mouse. Once I do, I got back to the 360 controller in about 15 minutes, because I remember just how laughably bad the right-click targetting is.

I can’t believe this has been a known issue for 4 months and the devs are still twiddling their thumbs about it. How the hell do you brush off a bug with such a basic feature?

I prefer GW2 – the RL dailies take far too long to finish, and are required if you want to gain any money at all. The dynamic events in RL are unclear and largely unrewarding.
I can’t find any karma vendors in RL.

The real guilds from ioj, the alliance, and all the stuff will always be cherished. It doesn’t matter which server you go into, it is how the guild wants to move on and do take actions into what they believe would benefit their friends/guild. IOJ will remain a pve server and it will always be. From DRGN, QQ, FIST, ND, AVTR and Hel making a difference to IOJ – I hope everyone will stay to their roots and contribute something to the benefit of their chosen server.

This please. It’s such a pain having those random target change in the middle of battle. I don’t want to select anything with the right click NEVER EVER.
If you don’t want to remove it at least give us an option to turn it off because this is really ruining the gaming experience of a lot of people.

I currently have right click assigned to target nearest, up scroll wheel to next and down scroll to previous enemy.

i used combat mode in wvw and didn’t like it, you can’t look around in the middle of a fight. and i like to see my skill rang. they just need to fix the right click my number 1 problem with this game, not sure what anet was thanking when they made it.

Never really had a problem with thieves you just gotta slow them down. as for the stealth builds they do really low dmg and can never kill me 1 vs 1 it’s useless fighting them i just walk off.

+1 Really hate this targeting system. Arena told us to be a good guild wars 2 player you need to never stop moving and dodge and jump a lot and to be aware of your surrounding, How can we do this and not move the camera? really needs to be fixed asap. Never played an mmo that used right click as targeting with no option to turn it off.

Dungeons are meant for team work. making solo versions of all the standard dungeons will just help the bots farm.

Add an option to disable it or just remove it. it’s really hard for a elementalist to pvp some one with pets because i keep moving the camber angle with right click so i end up attacking the pet.

also really annoying in dungeons when you pull something by accident because of right click
