… I am no expert in economics.
… what is happening to precursors in the game is very unnatural.
I am absolutely sure, though, a fix is necessary..
Hrmmmmm, I can’t quite put my finger on it, but something’s off about these statements…

Also, anyone else notice the lack of wind / lightning / sun catcher skins? or the desert rose skin?
Why Anet, WHY ANET WOULD YOU TAKE AWAY SKINS FROM THE EVENT?
They specifically state “chance at obtaining last year’s LS event stuff”… oh well, but lets not include the zephyr sanctum skins again..cause no one wants those right * rolleyes *
I’m > < this close to swearing off anet over their kittened design decisions.. game is fun, it’s pretty..rewards are kittening pitiful, content is scraped together, lore is in shambles..sky is falling sky is falling >_<

You can see previous LS items, like tonics, Zeph helms, mining nodes, minis
BTW: I think it’s pretty unfair that Matt Visual was able to gain access to the patch before hand, and very likely commit to ‘insider trading’.
But what’s done is done, can’t do anything about it.
(BTW: I think it’s pretty unfair that Matt Visual was able to gain access to the patch before hand, and very likely commit to ‘insider trading’.)
They undoubtably make people sign contracts that they won’t use information gathered ahead of time for their own purposes.
And there is the occasional person who actually doesn’t sign a contract and then immediately break it.
Matt Visual was not given access or the video. Bog Otter was and gave the video to Matt Visual.
Regardless, no one player (even dulfy!) should be given previews to patches like this. They should have to wait like the rest of us, why should they get special treatment? because they have a website or youtube channel that makes them money off of reporting this kind of kitten?
Anet, quit the circlejerking and let these people wait like the rest of us please..
Suppose i had ways of making 50-100g a day on the tp, be it through crafting / promoting / arbitrage / w/e..
Now suppose i tell the entirety of the Guild Wars 2 Forum goers. What do you think would happen to those markets that i was making money in? The ROI would shoot down so low that it’d no longer be worth my time.
What i CAN tell you is this, if you’re just starting out “playing the tp” get into high yield-low cost mat flipping..you’ll be placing thousands and thousands of buy orders. but your ROI will be anywhere from 10%-25% and you’ll end up making (depending on how long you want to stand at the trader and do this) anywhere from 2-15g a night or more
once you have SIGNIFICANT capitol to invest (250g+) i’d move on to the higher tier mats if you can find one with a decent ROI, or buy into this next season’s living story skins in the hopes they go up in prices.

This is why. You can trade in leather sections for special boxes full of items during this event.
^ this..
What’s funny is whoever bought into this hype over 9c spent more per sanctum box than 4-5 other mats they could’ve possibly traded in (unless the conversion rates change this time around, which i doubt they will)
Oh, my twinks all get their birthday present … I hate twinks in WvW…
This word..you keep using it, but i’m not sure you know what it means =S
Back on topic though, i love this idea.. +1000000 I WANT
This is a very legal bot. -SNIP-
You’re mistaken, botting isn’t “legal” or “by the rules”. Especially if the case you just spoke of was true.

tl;dr – Haha
They’ve stated a TP overhaul / fix is in the works..
If I had to guess I’d say Q1 next year sometime it’ll roll out, be patient til then I guess
As of this very moment – 18ish gold on character, and if i were to liquidate all of my investments at current sell prices – 140ish gold total
most gold i’ve had at once was 800-900g after i got multiple ’cursor drops over the course of a weekend.
I don’t see any problems here.. and I main a warrior if that tells you anything about where I’m coming from.
USUALLY wouldn’t reply to this sort of kitten post, but i guess OP critical success’d on his enrage roll..
OP → I suppose i understand what it is that you’re trying to hint at – that mist / vapor form is overpowered yadda yadda..
But your justification seems a bit..how can i put this? childish? IDK, just the way i read it sounded like this . WAAAAAAAAA THIEVES SKILL GETS NERFED BUT ELES DONT GET NERFEDED TOO?!
If you’re going to try and justify a skill being nerfed or losing it’s current form for another, please don’t whine and kitten about your class’s own nerfs. It really makes you sound petty.
Now, the Super skins WILL move up eventually, but expect it to be in the order of YEARS, not weeks or months. Demand will come from new players who join the game a year or two later, see someone carrying a Super Greatsword, and go, “Cool, I want that!” Of course, waiting for such a long time for your investment to pay off may not be feasible for a lot of players.
I, personally, don’t think it’ll take years.. It will be a long time, but not years.
I think we’ll all be surprised on the movement of old skins once the next world of SAB comes out, course that’s all speculation. <— I believe see the newer skins might drive interest up in the others that are no longer available (for those that missed the previous release)
Hmm..I feel i need to propose my own hypothesis here.
PERHAPS the devs would be more willing to communicate effectively with the community if said community didn’t kitten and whine about time frames after they just got EXACTLY what they wanted?
Either way, GJ devs..keep up the good work <—- see how easy that was?
use the guild bank.
btw the auto ban bot might ban u if that mail got sent out.
sending over than 10 gold via mail triggers the auto ban bot.
You need to pull a few more triggers to get targeted by the ban bot.
You only need to send a couple hundred gold out amongst a few players for it to trigger..
so he’s right in a sense, just got the threshold wrong is all
source: me being banned / unbanned for this exact thing
How the kitten does overpowering an aoe siege that can take down 30+ people in a few seconds promote small scale stuff?
Our definition of “few seconds” obviously differs, but sure, i’ll bite.. In promoting siege weapons to do more damage, they’re effectively making it so smaller groups may defend a keep without needing to call in a zerg to counter the other servers zerg
We’re not upset they tried to do something to help the game. We just don’t like how they go about putting them in.
Valid point, I yield
We’re upset that they didn’t bother to test this before implementing it.
We both know you don’t know this for sure, and can never know unless they make some lengthy blog post about how they go about testing patches. And in fact, I’m inclined to believe they test EVERYTHING as opposed to nothing.
We’re upset that they do 50% nerfs and 80% buffs in a single patch (while claiming they don’t do large nerfs/buffs).
Can’t seem to find who or what you’re quoting here, but I’ll take your word for it. Even then, sometimes drastic changes are needed for different issues. So to rule out large changes altogether seems a bit immature
These types of things have been an ongoing issue. There REALLY needs to be a public test realm to help prevent this kitten from happening.
We actually agree on this, YAY!
As far as worst patch ever… tbh… I agree… I can’t think of any other patch that wrecked more in any part of the game before this one. Feel free to present a counter to this… but I can’t think of any…
Are we so quick to forget the infamous culling patch? I personally (and know of MANY more) didn’t even touch WvW til after they made culling settings an option. I mean, the game was playable..but most would argue way less so than now.
The sky is falling! The sky is falling!
Me and my GW2 rl buddies have discussed this topic at length, and have come to the conclusion that thieves need stealth as a mechanic to function. However, the other classes need a sort of “skill based” tell on thieves to make stealth a little less op.
Such as bleeds on the thief may leave small bloody prints on the ground (the number of said footprints being directly effected by the amount of bleeds one has), allowing aware players to follow the thief. Fire might cause some periodic sparks or flares, causing a hardly noticeable “shimmer” effect.
summary – stealth is op, but needed to set apart thieves as a different playstyle. but we need SKILLFUL ways to counter it’s effectiveness..not nerf it or take it out completely.
Nice try MARKET MANIPULATOR! -runs off to grab pitchfork-
No but seriously, no need to try and drive up your profits with a post like this. Most aren’t stupid enough to fall for it, even though what you state is mostly true..
Josh (yeah, we’re on first name basis now) said they will MOST LIKELY not be purchasable from Moto OR come in the form of rare drops if/when SAB comes back with new worlds and skins.
I applaud your efforts though, i really do..

I think ACs needs some looking at as far as damage, but to those crying out “ZOMG WORST CHANGE EVAR ANET!” seriously need to get the kitten over themselves..
They’re doing the best they can guys, and personally, i like the ideas they’re implementing to make zergs a bit easier to take down. We’re a little over 1 day into the patch and you’re crying for nerfs? Pick your side WvW’ers, do you want more intricate warlike conditions? or do you want mindless zerging? if it’s the latter then i have nothing for you, i can’t fix stupid. However, don’t say you like small scale stuff then cry about changes they’re making to (hopefully) make this a possibility.
You don’t get to play both sides of the coin, choose a side and let ANET do work.
That being said, I do think the buff should be looked at and perhaps halved.
EDIT: was meant to be in another thread, i apologize for the misplaced frustrations..
For the Toast!
(edited by ThePainTrain.8601)
They need to stack, or they need a new icon and name..
I doubt this unstackable jug was intentional, would be nice if ANET would say one way or the other though. It’d be a quick-fix that’s currently kitten a bunch of people off.

Take a scroll down gw2lfg and take a look. People are running full Berzerker Warrior groups with the occasional Guardian mixed in. It’s ALL they’re running. It’s getting impossible to find a group as a Thief or even an Elementalist. All people want is faceroll damage and some support.
Look, I’m all for the no-holy-trinity thing in this MMO. It’s awesome. If people want to run a group of 5 whatever’s, let them do it… but when balance becomes so bad that all people want is a certain class or two, I’ve got a huge problem.
Can you imagine if, in “that other MMO,” Mages, Priests, Druids, and etc. all became obsolete? I can tell you about how long “that other company” would take to fix that. I don’t say that to rag on the folks at Anet, but to emphasize that this is a game-breaking balance issue. When I say game-breaking, I mean “if this continues then many experienced MMO-players will flee from this game.”
This is my favorite MMO of all time so far, so don’t think I’m just whining. I can tolerate a certain amount of class imbalance because, philosophically difference = imbalance. But it doesn’t have to be broken imbalance.
What do you guys think about this?
You need to slow your kitten roll there bub..
The reason ad’s for groups like that exist, is because of some stupid meta that everyone falls into line with..I’m a warrior, and i’ve run groups that are JUST as fast if not faster than some of the 1mes4war groups.
Although I do love some of the “wahhhh nerf warriors” talk..thats ALWAYS the solution right guys? Whack-a-mole nerfs! Next it’ll be “WAHHH guardians are too unkillable! make them less tanky!”
As others have said, now its become a need to grind and grind and get as many skins as possible before the end of April (either to keep or sell for ungodly amounts of gold later). Sure they are cosmetic, but that is supposed to be the point of the endgame (others have said/explained it better). I’m not entirely sure I would want to play later levels/worlds if I know I’m going to have grind them as well, since why wouldn’t the trend of skins that are one time only, continue for future ones?
This, in my opinion, is just as bad a decision as all the Halloween ones (skins only in gambling chests, near legendary requirements for permanent items, etc.)
I have to disagree, you can’t compare the horrible idea of RNG skins from a cash shop item to an item that you can get without any RNG attached – The only drawback being time spent?
I like the idea of unique rewards per world as this guy put it in another thread →
I think this would be the perfect compromise:
1. Each time the SAB returns, the skins available for purchase with Baubles are different. (You have a whole month to farm Bauble Bubbles to get the skin you want, so I think this is fair.) This helps keep the flavour “fresh”, as Josh said.
2. Zone chests in World 2 drop the new skins, but zone chests in World 1 still drop the original Super skins. This allows players to choose which world they’d like to farm for a chance to get the skins they want, if they missed the original Super skins the first time around. This also provides the market with a renewed supply of skins so it doesn’t run out completely.
Likewise, when World 3 is released, along with a new set of reward skins, zone chests in World 3 drop the new skins, World 2 continues to drop the 2nd set, and World 1 drops the original Super skins.

One of the best idea’s I’ve seen surrounding the SAB yet, and i don’t say that lightly..
So +15 supply? Lol, and add that to the guild perk of +5 and you can carry 30? So you could set down your own ballista in the middle of the field and start firing without anyone else having to put down supply? They should really go all out and allow us to carry 40 so that we can just plop down a ram by ourselves without any help.
(I know that i’m only contributing to a conversation that has nothing to do with this thread, but kitten it)
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say, yes?
The amount of time it’d take you to work up to that amount of supply, i don’t think that’s too ridiculous.
Oh i was under the assumption they made a game for everyone? didn’t realise they were saying they weren’t multiple times before launch.
Just because YOU don’t like a few aspects of this game, doesn’t mean they didn’t make it for everyone. Take your over-generalizations and repulsive attitude somewhere else please..
preferably a less casual MMO..
I’m prettttttyyyy kitten sure they didn’t have RNG on any of the past miniature packs?
I mean by all means, praise Anet for good things they do..but i don’t think they changed anything around this time?
