Same problem here, I guess adding to these lists might help in speeding up a fix.

how to farm gold fast

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: TheWhitevulture.9382

TheWhitevulture.9382

Hey MrTree,
So for the coming days, the new stuff you get in magus Falls is worth a whole lot of gold, especially if you need it fro guild hall upgrades, since most guilds are working on upgrading their halls. I would recommend, for the coming days, to focus on gathering the materials from Magus Falls. Now, I realize that this is just another map to farm, but to be honest, there isn’t much else to turn to at the moment, in the way of farming gold fast.

How to get armor after new changes

in Players Helping Players

What ever you do DO NOT GET Berserker for HoT.

Why not? What happened to it?

In Heart of Thorns, or rather, the Heart of Maguuma maps, you will get obliterated if you don’t wear protection. Just mix in a little toughness, a hint of vitality, and a few condi clears and heals! Berserker may be the fastest way to kill mobs, but in Magus Falls it’s mainly the fastest way to a respawn.

Are those account / character jumps worth it?

Hey fadeaway,
This sounds like a personal preference question to me, but I’ll try to answer it anyhow!
Are you the kind of player that doesn’t mind spending a bit of hard-earnt cash on a game? Or are you just obscenely rich in gold?
If so, I would still only take the jumpstart if you either mine a whole lot, or if you are the kind of person that wants to hoard so many things his bank and inventory always get clogged. (I know I am!)
The copper-fed-salvage -o- matic however, I would recommend getting in any case. It’s simply put the handiest item in the whole game.
Transmutation charges are fun if you’re a real fashionista, so they can add something as well, small as they might be.
As for the experience scrolls: You’ll love them for a few weeks, you can level a few characters a bit, but really, the first 20 levels are the easiest and fastest anyhow!

I would recommend getting the copperfed salvage -o- matic, and just leaving it at that, unless, like I said, you’re a massive hoarder who keeps anything that “might one day come in handy!”.

But yeah, it’s your own call.

Love, Mair

Quick questions on Stealth

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: TheWhitevulture.9382

TheWhitevulture.9382

Hey vpy,
a)Thieves can sorta stay in stealth forever, but they have to trait and build towards it. This makes them extremely unefficient in any combat, but makes them very suitable scouts in WvW. If you are looking for a regular fighter build, you would have about a 10-60% uptime of stealth, depending on your build, with dagger/pistol panic strikes topping at 60%, if you take the shadow refuge utility skill).
b) The first stealth will most likely come from your dagger offhand weapon skill 5, just check when you unlock weapon skill slot 5 by hovering over the grey lock just left of your healthbar.
c) Look for a build called the panic strikes dagger pistol build. You will combine the pistol offhand 5 skill with leaping through your smokefield with a dagger 2 (heartseeker) this will give you practically unlimited access to stealth after doing heavy damage to the enemy. Here is a link to a commonly used dagger/pistol build: http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Thief_-_Dagger/Pistol
d) Have fun with your thief, I hope you like gw2 and stay with us!

HoT exp farming

Ok, here goes:
-For Central Tyria mastery points, take alot of experience boosters on kill etcetera, and go to Citadel of Flame with a party, there, get to the part with the 4 lava fonts, where you would normally each man one. Just stand in one or two and let the flame legion spawn. Keep killing all of them with quick AoE across the party. Keep this up for as long as you like, this is the quickest way for those masteries at the moment. (Confirmed by friends.)
-As for the Heart of Maguuma masteries, I would recommend the nighttime events in Verdant Brink, just South of the Central rally point. Besides that, there is an amazing event chain in Auric basin, starting from the Northern encampment. It’s 3 seperate event chains, spanning about 20min+ in all, if you take all the right boosters, especially killstreak boosters this should give you about 3k experience per kill, and there is a lot of kills to be had!
Good luck!

Revenant Stances

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: TheWhitevulture.9382

TheWhitevulture.9382

Equipping is easy! Just press the arrow above the little portraits just above your weapon skill 1, and you get a dropdown menu of the selectable stances.
As for unlocking them, thats got everything to do with how fast you can rack up hero points, you unlock the stances in the Hero tab > Training. Most of them you can unlock immediately with only a few hero points, but you will need to buy the skills corresponding to that stance, again with hero points (earned by leveling up or by doing hero challenges on the open world map). Then there is the Herald stance, which will take you a bit longer to unlock, as it comes with a traitline of its own, and can only be unlocked after you unlock every other stance and trait at your disposal.
In short, go collect hero points and start your rev adventure!

rune bonuses additive or multiplicative?

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: TheWhitevulture.9382

TheWhitevulture.9382

The best way to find out how much it actually gives, is by opening your hero panel and checking your stats, just look at the boon duration stat at the right side. However, I can tell you that all percentage changes to stats and durations are always relevant to the base stat, so its simple changes, not compound. (As in, additive, as you put it.)

Ley Line Crystals

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: TheWhitevulture.9382

TheWhitevulture.9382

Ok, first of all, you need to get to the Tangled Depths (East of Auric Basin, which is in turn South of Verdant Brink). You will find the Nuhoch vendor there. Completing events in the Tangled Depths will sometimes earn you a few Leyline Crystals. You need 150 to get the mistward chestplate piece for the achievement. Also, in order to talk to the merchant, you need to have Nuhoch language mastery unlocked (3rd tier of Nuhoch masteries).
Good luck, I hope you can enjoy your mistward stuff soon!
