Wait what? So they haven’t just deleted the 95% of the missions leading up to the cleansing part? They just rearranged the missions?!
What’s the bloody point with that?! Whoever decided that that was a good idea needs to be FIRED! Because clearly that person has sunken to such a low level of stupidity he/she is beyond saving….
As if moving the trait unlocks to all the other mindbogglingly frustrating content they have wasn’t enough…. Hint to A-Net: It’s not working, my ele is 72 and have almost no traits unlocked. And i’m not gonna fall for your gem trade bait either….
Seriously Arena-Net, what happened to you? You used to be cool! :/
And found this…
Authorized Networks

WA , US ( 66.162.136.20 ) 66.162.136.0 – 66.162.136.255
A quick /whois told me it belongs to allaboutadventures (dot) com
Why is this site authorized, why can’t i ban it and why didn’t i get an email about it?
This is by design, though. If there aren’t players willing to fight to hold the land from the undead, the undead will reclaim it. It’s the dynamic in Dynamic Events.
Willingness or lack thereof has nothing to do with it. There aren’t enough players IN THE ZONES to actually hold them.
the 80 zone does, but the other two is impossible to do most of the events in because there just aren’t enough players to go around, and the “players” that do run around there are for the most part just botters i can’t be arsed reporting anymore anyway.
These events are great as long as the zones are populated, once said zone population starts to dwindle it’s game over for the few that sticks around…
Also remember that most events in orr doesn’t take player numbers into the equation, they zerg you with just as many undead no matter if there’s just one player or 20 doing it.
Let’s cut to the chase. This isn’t the original Guild Wars. People need character progression. As it stands, progression is pretty thin at the end.
No they “need” World of Warcraft but they are to confused to understand it.
What’s wrong with playing a game because the GAME is fun? Why do you need to have something beyond that to enjoy yourself? Why does better gear = more fun then something else?
Despite what Blizzard says, character progression does not equal better gear and better gear only. You can have character progression in a multitude of different ways.
Oh well, i knew this was coming the first time i logged in to the beta and saw stats on the first piece if gear i looted.

So no, I’m not going to whine about Anet adding more gear progression – unless I need those new gear to complete those new dungeons, and I suggest you don’t until we’ve figure out just how difficult those new dungeons are without the new tier of gears.
Cheers!
No you don’t need the new gear to do any dungeons. Heck you could run existing dungeons in really really bad gear if you wanted to. You’d just die a lot more. But as there’s respawn points scattered all over the dungeons dying doesn’t matter as much. But if you want to progress at a decent speed then yes, you WILL need the best gear possible.
And i have little doubt that sooner or later we will see something not that far away from WoW in terms of gear progression and dependancy.
I can only suggest to put in a formal bug report. Perhaps this will help the cause more.
No need, the bug is fixed already, they just refuse to patch it.
Why wait for the content update before fixing critical bugs like these? Seriously A-Net you need to get your priorities right.
This made me laugh so hard..
As of now, tweaking the game to offer an FOV of 90 is an actual, bannable offense as ArenaNet does not allow for players to modify the game in any way whatsoever.
So i’m just gonna have to either accept having my eyes hurt after an hour or two, play at an abnormal windowed mode on my widescreen or risk getting banned by making a minor change that allows me to enjoy the game to it’s fullest?
But this isnt true for instances corect? because i know one dev came out and said that the trick to go over the gate in mags was an exploit. but they got to that point without hacks.
If you’re avoiding content you’re supposed to do then yes obviously it’s an exploit…
Off-topic: Why can’t i quote people properly in this thread?
Wolfe.3097 : or change class forgetting thieves till a next balance/buff, because we will have a no dangerous-no hp-no armor-no usefull class after that, but every other player who don’t play thief will be happy.
Actually, when ANET said they were moving off the holy trinity, I thought they’d really do that.
The holy trinity was tank, healer and DPS. They indeed watered down tanks, gave heals a bit to everybody but they still kept “DPS”, in the form of thieves.
I’m not even sure just how “watered down” tanks are either tbh. Solo i can tank as good as in any other game on my guardian. Only difference is that we don’t have dedicated healers to rely on, but overall survivability between my guardian and tanks in other MMO’s are pretty much the same. Mace/shield support build makes me nigh on invincible unless i go up against poison spams.
So i guess the only thing A-net really got rid off were reliable healers.
Same here, getting pretty tired of all these bugs now.
A few days ago i ran through 5 maps of random level ranges and the grand total of botters i counted were a staggering 183. And i probably missed a ton because i wasn’t looking all that hard.
I have no problem reporting the odd bot here and there but 183+ is making it a job, and i don’t work without getting paid just so a company can save money.
A-net needs to stop relying on us to be their “spy network” and hire people that do nothing but run around maps looking for botters, instantly and permanently banning them as they go.
They are not hard to spot, i can tell if someone is botting just by looking at them for a few seconds.
This has already been answered by ANet during the beta:
sigils not working on weapon kits is a bug and will be fixed. There was no ETA on this.
It was also a bug that auto attack does not work, and that was acknowledged months ago in BWE1, and promised to be fixed by launch.
I think its safe to say that we ought to keep reminding Anet of these issues.
If you failed to notice, they kinda have been occupied fixing the stability and login errors… They only just started to get enough time to focus on other things.
Same, getting error 42:0:9001:3927 in eu.
