Mostly you get me wrong.
Main intend of my proposition was make harder to get Comander Tag for people who don’t have any exprience in big events. Not for new players.
Second intend was to reward players who attend in this events, by let them buying CT cheeper.
Now CT cost 300 g. Player who do only PvP can but it for the same price as a player who have all achievemts from maps like VB, TD, DS ect, who killed all world bosses. The most welcome players with CT is players with knowleage.

Hi All,

I’d like to share about my opinion of commander tag (CT).
From one side 300 g isn’t a huge amount of money, another side it is enough to make players not to buying it.
In my opinion CT, normal price should be about 1000 g. To prevent unexperienced player to buy it.
What we need is experienced players who have CT possibility when needed.
What do you think about make CT price depends on your expirience in world meta events/ WvW / raids. It’s easy to verificate that, cuz most of them have lots of achievements to do. Let’s say the lower price will be about 50 g.

New Holosmith and Legendary weapons

Short answer from dev about this case will be nice.
I’m sure they know already how new Holosmith will work with legendary weapons/items.

Doing legendary items is kind of endgame for GW2. It is important for the players how dev from Anet build new spec.

Craft price for The Shining Blade cost about 3820 gold. It’s 175 $. So my question is quite valuable.

The point is, you make legendary weapon to take a satisfacion from visual effects during fight and movement. If engi wont have that effect, doing legendary weapon is pointless for me. It takes to much effort for nothing.

It answers your question. Visually it behaves exactly like those I mentioned. If you’re in Photon Forge Mode you don’t use the weapon -> no legendary effects in Photon Forge. But feel free to wait for devs to state the obvious.

You just told me how it is now. And i know how it is. Classes like mesmer, warrior, guardian who fight with Legandary greatswords are more pleasent to watch it. Enginieers in 90% of fight use granades, bombs, etc. so posses legandary waepon isn’t so attractive.
You have to know that we will have xpac soon. And i hope dev look on this problem from players perspecitive.

Hi All,

I have a question about new Holosmith. As we could saw we will be able to use lots of different types of weapons (as we will became weapon). I want to ask how it will work with Legendary weapor and it’s additons like footfalls and auras.

How it is now: I have leganrady rifle, and when i change on granades or mortar i lose my fire aura and lose my footfalls.

How it will be? Is it possible to have that aura and footfaill in any aspect of Holosmith?

Is it common to have too few players around to down this guy?
It is a absolute slaughter for 15 minutes or so then he flies away.

The biggets problem is that people prefere to fight against Tequalt, who spawn at the same time.

I don’t know that legendaries are meant to be difficult. They are, however, clearly designed to expose players to more of the game than we’d accidentally come across on our own. I don’t see any meaningful difference between challenging us to complete maps versus completing masteries.

So, no, I don’t agree that the Legendary Mastery needs to obtainable in both core and HoT Tyria.

Legendary Mastery need to be hard to achieve, so why players who end LW2, gets a point for each part, in that way you can obtain 8 pionts. Easy as hell. To show you how hard is now. I will tell write down things that new players have to do to obtain masteries without paying 1600 gems to unlock LS2. I need 9 to unlock:
1. I did all achi for Tequatl, 1 point
2. Divie mastery, 38 divie all map
3. The Emperor’s New Wardrobe, about 100 g
4. For the gold, fint 30 lost badges in Silvervastes
5. Basic collection, i can’t even see what i should do. I probably need to unloch tier 1 achi first.
6. Rare collection, Ascended – 1 point, fractal master – 1 point, Gold fractal master – 1 point, Arbrite wepon – 1 point, Bioluminescens – 1 point

That all, DO YOU FEEL the DIFFERENCE?

Second part. Schilar of Secrets, unlocks HoT legendaries so why not HoT points can be used?

Scholar of Secrets it’s last ability in legendary crafting. There is description that it neccesary to craft HoT legendary wepons. Please tell me why we can’t unlock this ability using HoT masteries (grean) than Tyria (red). Does ANet know difficult for new players is obtain red masteries? Players who have LW S2 obtain 8 points just for end the story.
I dont say, give LW S2 more awailable, just give us choice to obtain this ability by red or green masteries

And before LS3 you could just press 2 and achieve exactly same result.

I forgot that different classes have different skill. I play enginier, so second spell Grappling Line (cant help in that case) i can use after 10 ses, third Booby Trap i can use after 20 sec (that can help). But I will be death much faster. New skill can be used at the beginning.

What do you think about new ability that you can unlock in new LS. In my opinion that is big change for T4 fractals, which make it more easier.
Now you can destroy mob, who makes finish kill after few seconds.
Was that intended by Anet?

Hi,

I ended this epic fight at 1:00 am today. I fight using my engi/power/berserk. I can’t tell you how many times in was dead. There was a time that I went in to the room and I died instant. For me Veteran golem with range attack was nightmare, worse even than a main boss.
In my opinion the worst boss fight in game, really unpleasent.

Because 90% of the game is “press 1 to win” already.

I dont’t agree. There is masive thing which need close cooperation, timing and good players.

Raids are meant to be hard and should remain that way.

Please read my post once again. You don’t have to participate in easier raid. Play your own meta.

It is therefore up to players to practice(can always make own group), wipe a bunch of times, and eventually conquer the content.

You are right. But:
- first if we will have easier mode to practice, meta players doing raids will have more experienced players to choose.
- second I can’t practice cuz on that lvl of difficulty, probably i wont be able to kill first boss. How I will practice on next one? [/quote]

The question about different said difficulties have been dealt with 3647485635 times on this forum already.

And there is a problem. Such a amout of posts should make Arena more favorable to players.

Hello,

I’d like to share with you about my opinion and ideas on GW2 raids.
I’m new player, few day ago I made my first full ascended gear. Just after that I wanted to try myself in raids. I prepared myself by watching tactic on YT.
My guild don’t play raids, so I used LGF tools. I’m playing full berserk gear on Engi.
Guess what, i can’t find group to make first wing. I found one team, I showed my gear on chat, and just after that I got few opinion about meta, ect.
I understand all this things about build perfect team compilation. Getting meta healers, meta condi damage, meta tank. But in that way I have no chance to play this content, unlock masteries, practice in killing the bosses.
Prizes for killing bosses in raid are very good. But that is not the only reason people want to play raids.
Why Arena don’t want to make easier mode, which don’t need meta builds. Lest start to teach players how to move in fight with all bosses. I’m sure that players will participate more offten in easier rids for lower prices than now. They would like to learn about fight mechanics, and do all content in game.

I would not really call engi a weak profession. Sure it is not easy to play, requires good bindings for your keys and a lot of focus to know when the hidden skills from kits are available. Sure turrets, gadgets and somehow elixirs are not in a state where they are interesting compared to kits but the skills themselves are not that bad. It’s just that combining them with weak weapons (which are weak because of kits) does not make a good mix.

This game Is focused on high damage and mobility. This isn’t WoW where you class split into dps, heal and tank and. Arena build this game in that way, and should give this this to different class. Ofcourse way to this whould be different, but all clas should have this. Engineer is hard to play, that is plus for him, and make graeta fun for player. But that is the only thing. That show numer of plyers. And pls stop talking that Engi i so unpopular cuz it’s hard to play. People like to play diffrent classen, someone feal good in healing, someone prefeer to tank, and the most like to do big damage. But the most like by players is to feal needed for their teamets. That the only thing Engi don’t give to players.

And finally, no anet is not asnwering to complaints thread because devs have actually a real job and forum are made for people to complain. Nobody will just start a forum discussion to say “Elixir gun is a good skill” because there is nothing to answer. So their reaction has a form of balance updates for which they react to complaints if they feel it is necessary. But since basically there is a complaint thread about every single skill in the game (or at least skill type) they can’t take every complaint as serious (that is why they are dev and we are players… they are less emotionally involved).

I’m not complaining. I play this calss, I like it. I want to be a part of the game. That give me forum. I’ dont know Arena net like you. But people spend their time by posting on forum and try to make game batter. Look how many nagative post are about Enginners and nobody from Arena care about it. That’s sad.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m far away from grumble.
Few years ago I played big mmorpg from Blizz.
The huge difference it that they do advantage of any specialization, that you can choose for each class.
In my opinion each class/cpecialization should have basis.
Thief, big damage. But easy to kill.
Warrior, quite big damage, but strong enought to tank.
Ranger, big damage. Easy to kill. Kite abilities.

And we have engeenier:
- heal abilities, usless.
- full DPS condi damage. Easy to die, 3 range abilites and one close fight bombs. Insane. More, bombs and mokittenon’t attack champion/mob. You use it on ground, and mobility of your enemy give him huge advantage.
- Scrapper Hammer this just don’t interest me.

Now engineer builds have all, range attacks mixed with low range. Mid range granande with mid range pistols na long range mortar.

I play this great game since few months. I bought HoT and get free boost to 80lvl, but I wanted to have a fun and lvl up my Engineer alone.

Back to topic.
I’m sure there is big problem with Engineer. I can prove it by look on my guild, and players online. There are 2 or 3 Eneineers online on all guild every day.
Look on LFG, and icons. Engineer is like a Gral.
Players verify very fast which class is the weakest. I’s very sad that Engeenier is so weak that only few want to play with him.
This class have a huge potencial, but sth is wrong. Arena pls find it and fix it. Give us sign thay you see the problem. If not give us prove that everything is ok.

I see few problems of Engineer:
1. Very low mobility. I have to use one build to get swiftnes and manage to folow another in WvW and word events, fractals ect.
2. Huge amount of skill, but only one meta. That weard. That kill fun. I want to use granades, tourest, not hammer.
3. There a lot of problems in topics below.

And one biggest problem, zero comunication from Arena. Sad isn’kitten

I have question as well. Please tell me what is full price for LS1?
All LS1 costs 200 gems or maybe each episode from LS1 costs 200 gems?
Looks like each, but if so it will be quite expensive, so close to HoT price during last discount time.
