Formed by a small group of tight knit friends, that is what this guild is to this day. Generally concerned more with quality over quantity, and a sense of belonging to a group. We have slowly grown and brought in players from both our real life connections and people we’ve played with in game and befriended. All of our members are 18+ and the vast majority of them are nerdy. We keep a strict 18 and older requirement so that we don’t have to watch what we say around each other, as we’re fairly prone to making “adult” jokes and commentary.
We wish for members that would be representing our guild and joining us as a group, and only us, as we believe split loyalties eventually drive such members away, with minor exceptions for things like Triple Trouble (TTS repping) and Bank Guilds, as those are things we cannot do by ourselves. One of our core beliefs is that no one should feel forced into playing certain styles, stats, or ways, and encourage polite and fun interactions with both fellow guild members and other players in general.

I greatly suspect that there is one machine in the server farm that is breaking down fast. People have been complaining about laggy maps all over and I have been on several. I thought to use /ip in game.
Nov 6th at 11:40pm EST, Silverwastes. A major lag spike hits and most of the vocal map people are complaining about it. Before I got disconnected, I /ip and got 64.25.38.161:0
Just a few minutes ago, in Sparkfly Fen during a Teq run, Nov 20th, 7pm EST, the whole map lags to the point that Teq’s scales can’t be stopped, everyone in my party disconnected at least once, and many more complained about the very same thing. /ip revealed 64.25.38.161:0.
Super lag on two different occassions, on the same IP? Something is up. I’ll post again if I can provide a larger sample size.
I hope this helps you guys track down the offending machine and replace/repair it soon!
After the attacks on the silverwastes forts subside a new event spawns. Collect 25 rubble to repair the walls.
A slip of the fingers discovered a way to do it with 1 rubble piece.
- Collect 1 rubble
- Approach the collection npc so the context menu to deliver appears.
- With no auto target/no foe selected, press 1 to throw the rubble.
- Before the bundle disappears, press F to deliver 1 rubble
- The throw animation completes and a rubble piece lands a few feet behind the npc.
- Pick up the thrown rubble and repeat.
You can deliver all 25 this way, and the event will succeed. I attempted this a few times last night to verify you could finish the events correctly in this fashion.
I’d still call it a bug. Certainly bugs me and others.
Just because it was designed this way doesn’t mean it doesn’t need a major change.
5.b Finding a Saved Template
5.c Loading a Saved Template
5.d Sharing a template
As said before if pinging is something we get, clicking on the pinged build loads a smaller PvP Build UI to show all the details. Buttons for certain actions should be available, such as Apply, Save, and Open Template.
Issue 6: Other questions answered
I hope people enjoyed my thoughts, Thanks for reading.
Been writing this having read only Evan’s first post on the topic. Amused that I hit a lot of the others comments without realizing it. Here is my dream template system.
Issue 1: Storage of templates
Issue 2: Data to store
At minimum, Traits, healing, utility and elite skills should be saved. No one will really question that as far as I know. What else determines a build? Weapon sets 1 & 2, Armor, Trinkets, Sigils, Runes.
I suggest Weapons, Armor and Trinkets can be saved in PvE and SPvP can include the Sigils and Runes.
Issue 3: Storage in concept
Structured PvP is primed and ready for the template system. Nearly every aspect of it is freely available, the only issue would be the equipped weapon sets. Amulet, Rune, Sigils, Armor, Traits and skills are all easily covered here. The only issue is handling of weapons. All that matters for SPvP is that they have that type of weapon in inventory. More on how to handle this below.
PvE and WvW use the same equipment, and this is where it gets complicated. Every player at 80 will have traits available. Likely all their skills as well. Items however will not carry over from one player to the next.
My suggestion for equipment is to make it as generic as possible. When creating a build, detect the currently equipped items and classify them. “Berserker Headwear”, “Berserker Chest”, “Valkirie Boots”, “Soldiers Accessory 1” “Clerics Staff”, “Rabid Sword”, “Rabid Shield” for examples.
When loading the template, it should locate the strongest item in the player inventory that matches. Only looking at soul-bound/account-bound items, find the strongest item for each slot. (So an exotic Berserker sword and an ascended berserker sword are in inventory, the ascended one is pulled for the build.) If no matching item exists, present a warning but do not prevent the template from being applied.
Issue 4: Sharing
Your build templates should be shareable, unless this is deemed too close to a gear-check of sorts. I’d rather not have every dungeon group demand I show my template before beginning. This is up to Anet to decide, I just see a potential danger involved. Since we can already ping armor and skills, I suppose this is just extending that feature. If sharable, pinging to chat with a custom name would be ideal. Then a small window similar to what is used in the current PvP build UI is loaded when clicked. It would be nice if you could mail your build as well, for people too busy to look at it then-and-there.
Issue 5: User Experience (Flow of use)
5.a Saving an existing build.
Cont. next post.
Not a bug.
No need to wait either, you can open the dungeon by yourself, or ideally with your dungeon party. Just go to Forlorn Waypoint at Liberation Dell and follow Razen the Raider. Takes about 10 minutes to do, you get drops, 2 event credits and get to run CoF. If that level of effort is too much, you can wait.
As the post above said, the Celestial Inscriptions require a recipe, as does every individual item craftable with them. You must have a Celestial Sword Recipe, Celestial Staff recipe, and so on.
This extends to individual armor parts as well. You can get them all off the TP, as they were a limited time drop from Bazaar of the Four Winds content.
It is not a bug really. You can only craft 1 of each time locked material each day, so of course Craft All will only make 1 item per day. This could be better reflected in the GUI, as it was never really built with this type of time lock in mind.
The number just indicates how many you can make based on materials at hand.
Just food for thought.
Majority of today’s gamers can not complete Level 1 of Super Mario Brothers.
http://www.p4rgaming.com/majority-of-gamers-today-cant-finish-level-1-in-super-mario-bros/
That is not true. The original article everyone seems to copy was from a joke gaming website. So many news sites reported it as true based off word of mouth.
Happened to my group.
As a QA Engineer, I understand that bugs happen, and they happen a lot. Even so, this issue is so noticable and so common, I can only imagine it was a late-development change that didn’t get proper play testing.
I always hold out hope that the next major content patch will go smoothly, but I’ve taken to telling guildies to wait 2 days after a major patch if they don’t want these avoidable bugs happening.
If, following the jump puzzle to a switch that opens a door, you then notice a door next to you that is open… it makes sense to go in that room. It does not make sense to go back down the deadly drop of a jp, hence the ease of creating this bug.
Disappointed, but here for the long haul.
Busted on Sorrow’s Furnace too, guildie just ran across it.
My guild is preparing to run our first one, and I’d like it to go smooth. Or as smooth as possible.
What I want to know is, at what point does the 15 minute timer start? Does it start when you activate the guild bounty via the guild ui, or does it start once we have attacked one or more of the bounty targets?
naw by the time you rushed in it was probably a 2:1 ratio, maybe 3:2 ratio at best. we had 2 carts up and had aoe builds setup and you guys didnt stand a chance.
Glad someone here has a level head. True, I forgot the carts and such you had ready. I got knocked off the tower twice with pushes at the choke point. Well done that was.
Similar to our holding DB against ET and FC at the same time earlier. You had the siege ready in the right place at the right time.
Also no, I am not mad. FC won that fight fair and square. I simply pointed out the parts of the story originally left out.
Interesting.
For one, I will say this post is in very bad taste. Second, it is a fabrication of the facts.
I was there(In fact I can see myself in the pics) and I saw lots of siege. To your guild’s credit you countered it all.
We had down two rams, you had a cata in place to focus them down.
We put up 4 to 6 catas through the fight. You had a treb take them out. Sure we PvDoored. We didn’t have much of a choice. Pat yourself on the back for that, not for the lie you want to tell here.
I also saw a lot more than 10 of you in there. These pictures don’t include the multiple allies you had join the defense later. I would say our numbers were roughly equal when we pushed in, and you had the high ground.
I’m not going to say you didn’t do a good job deflecting us, you did, but coming on the forums and openly mocking us for something we didn’t do? Not cool man.
Hassan, it is a dirty tactic for sure but it isn’t indicative of just the one server. I’ve fought several groups of FC in SF’s border that used the same trick. I’m sure a small subset of ET do it as well, I just haven’t seen them in such a position.
Thats not a bug, January monthly does not give Laurels. Think of all the people that already finished their monthly by Jan 28th? You’ll get them in Feb.
A couple guildies and I had some fun in FC borderlands for the last 6 hours or so. Took all the supply camps and during an attempt on Redbriar, got soundly smacked down by 4-5 FC players. Went back to camp capping, got 2 more guildies and it slowly evolved into the 4 of us holding the bottom section of the map for a good four hours or so with the help of various people passing through. It all fell apart when ET showed up and messed up our rhythm.
To the FC Guardian Sylvari with Red skin and Sunrise, you are very good and everyone in my guild that fought you had to comment on your skill. You really stood out among some of the lower powered allies you had.
One other thing. Not calling anyone out specifically by guild, but can we all agree that when 2 people hold out against 6 players + npcs for several minutes, that the larger team really has no right to laugh at them when they win? Some players have no respect, and that goes for people on all three servers.

Sorrow’s Furnace: The server you love to transfer from.
Seriously, it seems like we lost half our WvW group thursday and they simply haven’t come back. Those of us that remain can’t keep going like this.. Gigantic morale blow.
Last week, I thought we finally found our balance and would have a fun, up-to-the-buzzer fight, win or lose.
I’ll be cheering for you from tier 8 HoD.
Big ups to SF for the stellar fights in GoM BL tonight. We had some brand new players trying out WvW for the first time on our chat. Before we could even explain to them how anything worked, you guys started pushing hard on both hills and bay at the same time (golem + players at hills, double treb + players at bay).
Two or three hours of intense back-and-forth fighting later, we were finally able to push you back and reclaim our southern towers. In that span, those new players were able to use siege equipment on both defense and offense, got a major crash course in the importance of upgrades and supply, and experienced one of the most fun fights I’ve seen since launch. Needless to say, they had the time of their lives. Kinda hits right in the feels to see them get so excited about it in the chat.
So, thanks for showing our newbies some WvW action at its finest. I hope we can repay that favor and give you the kind of fights that’ll keep your new players coming back for more.
Thats so funny. I was the one on SF that lead that charge into your borderlands. SF had a blast too. I was amused with how many GoM got pulled into borderlands to deal with us, but in the end you kicked us right back out.
All in all I am very proud of SF this fight. We took the kicking from Devona and fueled our resolve for this fight. Aside from thursday morning onward when we lost a ton of steam, we kept it nearly tied up. I also must say, besides a few bad apples (theres always that one guy thats gotta dance on your corpse) GoM and HoD were pretty kind when being stomped, and when doing the stomping in return.
Our 2nd match isn’t as even, SF seems to be losing more steam….
600 to 700 here :/
This happens when your upgrade finishs being built and you have not changed zones since the upgrade timer hit 0. Changing zones resets the display and you’ll see your upgrades. Happens all the time to me.
