1) this was a troll thread and you guys fell for it lol
2)the dead golem was light anyways
3)if you look carefully you can tell the diference in damage between full glass cannon and somewhat tanky player as the gc player took 13k damage and the other player took 6kand now enjoy the global anthem- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yunSRfnsVck
The problem is anet might not see this as a troll thread. You see how afraid they are to let any class get anywhere near warrior damage.
I really think that the weapons themselves are already enough.
Seriously:
Grenade Kit – Grenades
Med Kit – Bandage packs
Flamethrower – kitten rifle with flames on it
Elixir Gun – kitten rifle with toxin tubes
Tool kit – WrenchDo people REALLY need an entire hobosack just to determine what an engineer is carrying? Because frankly, enemies can’t see your back when you’re not running away (that is, actively engage the enemy and is something to worry about).
Kits are designed to clearly show you what you’re wearing, which is all fine and dandy, lest you think you’re wearing a Med Kit instead of Flmaethrower. The problem with this is the fact that the skill bar already tells you what you’re having, so it’s redundant at best, and a terrible fashion sense at worst
I watched the video of that guy that sneaked into the enemy base as an asura engineer. Basically he was so tiny, they couldn’t even see him, let alone what kit he was using. This argument could probably work on a Norn, but it falls flat once your character starts shrinking.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say this will be nerfed before they fix scope. You know, making sure every other profession does no more than 30% (max under any twisted circumstances) of the damage warrior does takes priority over everything.
I was originally thinking of a Gadget called Portable Asura Gate. And could be thrown similar to the Throw Mine.
Portable Asura Gate: Toss a beacon that will teleport you to its location after a short delay, Stunning nearby targets for 2 seconds when your warp. Removes Cripple, Chill, and Immobilize.
-1/2 second cast time.
-Cool down: 35
-Skill activation Delay: 4 seconds.
-Stun Breaker
-Stun for 2 seconds.
-Attack Range: 120Tool Belt Ability: Displacement Field: Surge your Portable Asuran Gate creating field around you that will cause the next attack to miss and Teleport the attacker to a random location, Dazing them for 1/2 second.
-1/2 second cast time.
-Field Duration: 2 seconds
-Teleportation Range: 900
-Daze 1/2 second
-Cool down: 40 seconds. But I’d love to see this Concept spread into a Kit. There could be so many innovative moves. Perhaps:
Portal Gun Kit concept skills:
(1) Warp Missile: Fires a immensely volatile energy missile that lingers slowly in the air. Greatly Damaging foes who are foolish enough to be struck by them. Successful damage Will also reduce the cool down for the *Gatewave*cast time by 3%.
-Cast time: 1/2
-Projectile delay: 3 second
-Projectile life span:20 seconds.
-Damage:260

-Immobilize duration: 2 seconds.
-Cool Down: 20 Seconds(5) Portal Pulse: Channel a powerful electromagnetic energy from your Portal Gun opening personal gates for yourself and nearby allies teleporting them to safety. (This ability will create an Area of Effect around you and when an ally or yourself is afflicted with a Crowd Controlling effect they will teleport to a nearby location instantly)
-Channel time: 3 seconds

-Cast time: 0
-Cool Down: 30 seconds
We…we need to find a spot on the dev team for you good sir.
How about an Elite skill worth taking? Elixir X outside of an Elixir build isn’t all that and supply drop just further cements our title as a support class. Mortar is…yeah, don’t…don’t use that.
So, we can port people to places and be useful and wanted like mesmers? …. Devs, portal gun, please, please, please!!!
You missed step 8, have your doctor prescribe something for the PAIN O_O (in your hand)
The thing I like about the hobbo sack is that I am never going to buy a back item from the gem store seeing as to how it is a waste of money and when they release seasonal back items that you have to work a little hard for, I take my time getting it if I even intend to bother knowing that it will be useless. Add in the fact that I will never bother even attempting to get a legendary because as an engineer we have the lovely quip (silliest thing I have ever seen closely followed by that disco ball legendary) and the predator and the flame…yeah, the shield :P…and I will never see them because once again, I’m always in sack mode, so the sack actually save me from a ton of stuff, but if I could just change the colour of that little faded strip of cloth, oh my goodness, lol…who picked that colour anyway?
Funny how quickly they “fixed” Hundred nades and Double Super Elixir but when something isn’t negatively affecting their precious Big Sword tap 1 button and crit for 40k class rank as top damager in the game, they drag their feet.
The problem here is people didn’t buy this game to play an online version of dark souls. I personally don’t like that game. I feel the game and dungeons are great the way it is and anyone that is having too much of a good time by winning can just go play the high levels of the fractals. And if they say it is impossible to beat because the AR needed isn’t there yet then they should continue trying to beat it as that is their challenge right there.
Clearly you don’t do fractals. It is impossible to beat because the ar isn’t there yet. That does NOT mean that it’s challenging. What it means is you’ll mindlessly walk through the first 3 fractals with ease then get to maw. You won’t be able to beat maw because an unavoidable attack (meaning there is no way to avoid it) will start pulsating on you, doing 9 ticks of damage, each tick doing over 1000x you max hp. If you were to use a res orb, it’d start ticking again. This isn’t challenging. This is a gear check. The people who did lvl 80 pre patch can’t even do 50. They can do 51, but the gear check at maw is just a joke. Please learn what the issue is before putting up points like that. It really shows your ignorance to the situation.
And about the whole dark souls thing. People do dungeons for the challenge. Putting challenging content in a dungeon isn’t a bad idea. If you don’t like it, then don’t go into the super challenging dungeon. Stick with ta, cof, and coe.
I’m just saying, don’t ask for harder content when you can’t beat what’s already there. The reason they put the AR barrier so to speak there is to control advancement. And as for the dungeons, I must not be a person as I do the dungeons for the rewards, and I do find them at the perfect level of challenge. I’m sorry if you don’t. A lot of people say they can face roll across their keyboard and beat some dungeons. Well, the only thing I got from trying this face rolling technique was a downed stated and keyboard dust in my eyes, so either I was face rolling wrong, or the dungeons are at an adequate level where all have a chance to beat it and not be reserved for the mighty few.
Yeah, when I heard him taking condition damage was a bug, and they were going to “fix” it, I was like, well isn’t one of the driving forces behind condition damage being that it ignored stuff.
Actually the engineer Elixir C can’t remove (convert to boon) that condition either. From what I understand it has to be a straight up condition removal with no extras for it to be removed. So, consume conditions has extras added to the condition removal as does Elixir C so it doesn’t work.
All dungeons were hard the first time you do them. I remember when we did AC (before the buff) back at release and it took us over an hour for the first path lol. But like most things once you learn how to run it/what skills to bring, it becomes a lot easier.
Sure gw1 dungeons were hard at the beginning, then everyone figured out how to solo run them on a permasin or 600 monk. I’m sure it’s like that with most gamesThat’s true but some things can be made hard every time. It gets easier once you know what to do but still remains a hard fight. The best example I can think of is dark souls. It has many of the same mechanics of gw2. You can dodge the big attacks and counter and there’s lots of big hitting abilities. The thing is, instead of having only 1 shot abilities, it’s a plethora of varying medium-high damage abilities all with different animations, cast times, attack patterns, and ways to evade them.
For example. There’s some enemies where you not only need to dodge the attack, but have to dodge a certain way. If you dodge the wrong direction, you’ll get hit. If you dodge the right direction, you get some free hits in but if you wait around too long, the enemy gets to recover and attack almost instantly (basically swings back around and tried to take your head off with an axe). If you avoid that and stay in close, he’ll jump away and land near you, pinning you down if you don’t get away. If you run away too far, he’ll shoot you with lightning. Basically the boss has a plan for every situation and doesn’t freak out and become predictable and useless when you range or melee them while always keeping up a steady stream of attacks, ready to take advantage of any player who doesn’t respond well to the situation.
This would be sweet, it would take some serious resources to implement as new artwork tends to be resource heavy, but it would be great.
I can see profession changes being a no, but race changes can’t be too bad.
I don’t mind them. They’re easier to see.
I have uncontrollable mysterious spontaneous disconnects when that fractal pops up.
You finding something easy doesn’t make it easy, ever thought that you’re just good? :P
No, no, no, no, no. There are tons of other games out there that can cater to your liking. This is one of the few good games out there, stop trying to change what makes GW2 fun. Hopefully the devs never see this, or just brush it off.
