Guild Wars 2

This Megaserver in concept is a good idea, however it totally kittens big guilds(like the guild im in[EG]). The roll-out of the megaserver was not executed well at all, and it extremely hard for us to do guild events, and guild missions. Having my guild being split between 5 versions of the same map, deters from the concept of having guild presence in the world.

This would be great if players had the choice to opt out of the megaserver, and choose to stay within their own server. PLEASE FIX THIS kitten.

hmm got my twilight around Christmas and as a few stated above, i quickly grew bored of the game, with the feeling, now what? i could have tried for another legendary but with them showing up on tp i could have just as easily bought one from tp. i logg on from time to time to check in on new features but nothing seems to draw my attention >.<

To the op……hi there, as someone working towards my legendary wep can you please stop making generalizations about me or others? To me you simply look like a whiny child who does not want to work towards a legendary, but wants it lol…aside from the gs they aren’t really that expensive…..I prob have more gold than you but I didn’t throw my wallet at the screen like you seem to think. sorry to hear, but i have booted people from fotm multiple times. why though? A i dont mind if you have no or too little agony resist but a few i’ve seen not only have no resist but are using magic find set or omega glass cannon then argue about it even though they constantly die to agony and non agony related attacks, and it basically becomes a 4man fractal. the other would be if someone is just overly aggressive to group members for no reason, or for a tiny mistake.

I have 2 Legendaries, Meteorlogicus & Bolt. I was world first on the scepter because I really liked the skin but other than that it doesn’t have any effects that close to Twilight, Bolt, Juggernaut, or Bifrost. People have been complaining about other Legendaries are not as cool as those 4. Meteorlogicus, The Minstrel, Howler, The Predator, Quip, Kamohoali, Kraitkin, & Frenzy, needs some major particle effects on them.

Remember that the Legendary-related achievement involves equipping the item, not just getting it. I think that encourages players to equip, therefore keeping a lot of Legendaries out of the marketplace. Just my perception, but something I wanted to share.

Well the legendary in question is Twilight, which doesn’t award the achievement, so this point is moot.

but other legendary do. and to make eternity you need twilight…so not really.

I don’t think you read into what I wrote. I’m not complaining whatsoever that price is more than I would pay for. I wouldn’t consider buying a Legendary if it were 200 g. My point was that with the 9000 g or whatever, the seller could easily turn that into 4 more legendaries. My main concern was that this trade is either completing an out-of-game transaction, or encourages gold buying through illegitimate channels, as the manipulation leaves less economically-adept players in the dust. It’s a very legitimate concern. A couple hundred real-life dollars on the holidays through third parties… or hundreds of hours hoping to luck out? I’m very surprised after all the written abuse ANet’s suffered over market manipulation and the attainment of Legendaries that they’ve advised this phenomenon as “intended”.

im pretty sure everything else in the game does this too. want to make infinite light? or aether, or volcanus ? 250 stacks of charged lodestone. even legendaries, look at the cost of the mats. if someone wanted to go buy gold just to buy the legendary then that person prob already buys gold, or bought an account with a legendary…so i do not think this facilitates anything…the karma skillpoints dont take that long to gather…however buying idk say dusk 100 icy runestones, 250 charged lodestones 250 onyx lodestones etc….is already omega expensive. also if it promoted gold buying then wouldn’t both legendary on tp have been sold by now? I am sorry but i prefer free market, rather than hinder players choices on things they can and cannot do maybe they should increase the force on bots sellers etc. i believe something like this was done on runescape in the past where they limited the amount of gold that could be traded per hour /day to fight against gold buyers and scammers. it ended in a disaster.

If you did fail to list an unbound Legendary, then ‘that’ was the bug.

and explain to me why only the 3 legendaries i mentioned show up on the TP database, yet none of the others do, bare in mind that the TP will list almost every item in the game including Account Bound things like Lemons, or even items you cannot obtain like Caladbolg.

the other legendaries do not exist there because they by design were never intended to be sold via the TP.
Mail was always legitamate and is a seperate system from the TP.

The only item to which this applies is T6 materials

Lodestones (and precursors) are the two most kittened about things, and neither are bot farmable; these drop in instances and special chests (Well that and the mystic forge), the removing the bots won’t do squat to alleviate the lack of supply to most the supply bottlenecked items.

T5 materials are returning to saturation point again; like they were before an saturated T5 markets hurt everyone (well, everyone accept power traders)

precursory wep can drop in Orr which bots farmed in……and as for t6.. if it affects t6 mats then it would affect lower teir mats as well due to the fact that u can upgrade lower teir to t6…also dont forget rares tht u get can A be salvaged or B be thrown into the forge for wait for it…precursors…. yah it does affect price in general.

and the mat price are dropping again because …the bots are returning…

as for lodestones that is in part due to the discovered recipes requiring them but also remember charged lodestone also drop at sparks where i did see bots, too.

imo helpful in pve id say 8. simply because at the moment the inflation that exists is just kitten #8230;.some people may think oh snap look at all dis gold i make from farming….excpt look at the price of literally everything….. what 20g would hv gotten u last month you now need 70-100gold.

Um, no. You have 7 days. I’ve worked at a GameStop for over 10 years, originally when I was an EB Games employee and GameStop bought them out. I recently left the company, but still keep ties with my store. You can easily do this, as long as you are not outright returning the open merchandise or returning past the 7 day mark. You return it as brand new, then resell if and mark it off their receipt so it cannot be re returned. my mistake. in any case the bottom line is you got what you paid for and there is no refund policy on gems as far as i am aware of which you should have been aware of when you made the purchase. also the original person you quoted did make a valid point as maybe in your experience you were able to refund a person or give them the difference but i have also witnessed what he stated. i work in the bookstore at my university and there is no way in hell anyone would get a refund because what they bought past the refund date is now being offered for less.

Understanding that this is how sales work in the real world, I cannot FOR THE LIFE OF ME, understand why so many of you are crying that you are not getting a wizard hat.

The most common ‘argument’, if you can even call it that, is that, we are here and have supported this game, thus, we should get the wizard hat, not some guy who buys the game in the sale.

When you really think about this, this line of thought is absolutely absurd and completely defeats the purpose of the sales pitch.

The whole point of this ‘promo’ is that it entices people who were maybe on the fence about buying the game, to actually buy it. It makes these people think

“Well, I was thinking about getting the game, might aswell buy it now seeing as I can get a limited edition unique hat.”

Let me tell you something, if Anet were to pitch the sale saying

“Buy the game now and get this free Wizard Hat that everybody in the game also has”, it would not be successful at all.

I can only conclude that this train of thought is a product of this obscene self-entitlement generation that currently plagues the Earth.

To think, for a second, that you are entitled to this Wizard Hat on the grounds that you have played this game for however many weeks… Anet doesn’t owe you anything.

You paid them the 60 bucks and they gave you the game you paid 60 bucks for, along with free content that costs thousands of dollars to develop.

It’s like you buying the Wii U on the day of release for full price and then get butt hurt when 3 month down the line they are selling them at reduced prices and with game bundles. You are not entitled to the cheaper Wii U and the free games, just because you bought it and have supported the console since launch.

I’ve worked retail at a GameStop. If you had your receipt they’d give you the difference. Also I know Best Buy does this, Walmart, and most other retail stores. Your analogy was a failure.

that’s because 3am for you could be 4pm for me. not everyone plays in the same timezone, and ppl in EU play on american servers, one of my best friends lives in France while i live in US and we both play on a NA server.
