Here’s my guardian and main, The Seventh Angel, changed quite a bit since i last posted her.
Great guild, I’ve enjoyed every minute of wvw with the rest of these guys since we made the guild. If you’re a skilled player looking for some real fights in wvw, then join SIC!
Here’s my awesome Mesmer standing on the torch right outside CoF path 1.
Feathered Headpiece
Conjurers Mantle
42k Karma top
Winged gloves
Inquest Leggings (I love that symbol on them)
and the unseen Caudecus Manor boots (Trust me, they look good but the screenshot angle was just too nice)
Ah, alright. Thanks for confirming, its pretty annoying to place an order only to see its price rise by 400% in a few days
Heh, it wasn’t me I assure you. I put in a buy order for 250 when it was around 12 copper and when 2 days passed and I still didn’t have items in the trading post I noticed the price had doubled. Since then its continued rising =/
I thought I’d ask around here, does anyone know what caused it to rise so much? A few days ago it was sitting around 13c a piece to buy directly and now its at 50c.
One of Arenanets early statements on the matter was (Vaguely from recollection) -
“If a player wanted to spend hundreds of hours working towards an extremely rare item, it should be different in appearance alone”
With this in mind, I doubt Arenanet will make new stats for the legendary tier, especially given the outcry at the appearance of ascended gear (Which still hasn’t been fully implemented)
IF they did add a race change feature (Something I deem highly unlikely, though i would like it nonetheless) I feel that the best way to move around the personal story would require you to have completed the level 30 personal story (Where you move away from racial choices into the orders) This would be a very good place to set it as it is not asking too much for people who hate the personal story, along with setting a very slight limit on levels (If you want to change race before level 30, you should probably just make a new character)
I recall a similar topic brought up often in the beta, and a player named Tasao gave a brilliant answer that I actually saved on my computer:
“The best selling point females typically have is their health. Because millenia-old monogamous customs are a barter system of females trading reproductive power in their primes in exchange for lifelong access to the production and labor potential of males. It’s a win-win for both sides. Males get to mate and produce offspring and females get food, shelter, and protection for themselves and their offspring.
There’s a popular saying that, “the sexiest thing a woman can wear is nothing, and the sexiest thing a man can wear is an expensive suit.”
Revealing clothing emphasizes what a woman is selling in the ancient tradition of marriage analogues: Their physical health.
Ornate and expensive armor emphasizes the selling point of male characters: That they’re competitive and successful.
Everyone knows about Burkas in Islam. They’re to conceal females from the lust of males. Fewer people know that men are not allowed to wear jewelry or flashy clothes, and neither gender is allowed to sing, dance, or even clap. Do you see the theme here?
Women aren’t allowed to publicly sell their marriage potential by revealing themselves, but neither are men. Men aren’t allowed to show off their wealth or success, which would tempt women. Though the rules are certainly less enforced in the case of males.
Anyhow, I mention this because from this perspective it seems that a lot of people are using a male-dominated worldview. It may be that females that condemn revealing clothing as objectifying are applying a double stand in favor of letting females off the hook as much as Islam lets males off, or more so. Or it may be that they’re characterizing the male-dominated worldview they’re likely aware of and disapprove of without realizing that emphasizing the female’s looks is placing themselves in the shoes of the male viewer.”
I feel like if they are going to add new legendaries, they will come with an expansion, not just some monthly patch.
I agree, that trailer was hilarious
I don’t know, maybe
Sadly its just Hair/ Horn etc. It would be awesome if they made made one that could change the rest
I cant stop laughing
That thief stealth sounds flat out awesome, the necromancer effect would be pretty cool too. That elementalist effect could use some work, but id still love to have that dagger in game.
There are plenty of different armor styles laying around, you just have to know where to look.

No speed boost
Took me awhile, but I finally got it =D. I’ll agree with what people are saying about it being really hard, but don’t change it, I got a really good feeling inside when I won.
They are soulbound on use, so you can create it on one character and give it to another. Just don’t equip it on your thief!
