Meet the Dragon Hunter article outdated

I was just reading the “Meet the Dragon Hunter” article listed today (see below) and it feels misleading/outdated due to changes from Beta Weekends.

https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/meet-the-dragonhunter-guardians-elite-specialization/

“Guardians will find that the new elite specialization gives them access to some conditions and functionality normally reserved for professions of a more physical nature. They’ll gain a bit of innate mobility, while the ability to cripple or bleed enemies will become an option through their elite specialization traits. One of their elite specialization traits is Rending Light, which will enable all varieties of traps to bleed enemies. Whether taking on the masses or a single enemy, the dragonhunter is a predator to be feared.”

This should be updated for new unsuspecting players, as the ability to apply bleed via traps is no longer an option.

Just gonna copy this here and grounds for discussion about Guardian spirit weapons…

Gyros are going to be affected by a systemic change that should increase their survivability quite a lot. In addition to that several changes to how Gyros follow you and their rate of travel were made – they shouldn’t zig-zag randomly about anymore even if you’re not moving and try to stay pretty close to you while you are moving.

  • Several Gyros received increased movement speeds to help keep them close to you as you move and some skill changes to make them more effective at their jobs, like increased range on their abilities.
  • Gyros now start their cooldown upon summon rather than upon gyro death. … This should encourage players to keep them around to gain their benefits for longer.

Well wishes,
~ Irenio

Looking positive for some spirit weapon improvements.

I really hope they add similar changes at HoT launch

This is a nerf to the synergy for Dragonhunter’s traited Wings of Resolve leap + Judges Intervention (for damage + 3 sec immobolize).

Honor VI – Pure of Heart. Increased scaling with Healing power from 25% to 40%.
:Nice but it is still overhealing alot. You need to understand that this will always trigger when we have full health the first time, and after that. It depends whatever we are virtue or shout to even make it useable.

This is QFT. A burst heal normally gets wasted when a fight is initiated as we are in full health. It would be MUCH more effective if it provided that heal in a Heal-over-time (HOT) form such as regeneration so it could minimise the over-healing.

Some really nice constructive ideas here. Here’s another change I’d like to see:

Atm I find Perfect Inscriptions to be unfit to be called a Grandmaster trait. A base +20% boost to signet passive seems too weak. It would be more of a GM trait if you combined the effect with Signet Mastery major trait (-20% signet cooldown). Something similar to Master of Consecrations that sits in the Tier 1 of Virtues.

Hi guys, first time poster. After reviewing the October 15th patch notes, I went to try out Perfect Inscriptions grandmaster trait and see what changed in Signet of Ressolve. The tooltip for SoR remains the same.

What changed? e.g. is the signets passive effect removing 1 condition every 8 seconds? (Since the grandmaster trait improves signets by 20%).

I live in Australia, Sydney and have one of the fastest broadband in the country (100Mbps connection with 5ms latency on local servers). I find that GW2 gets very laggy, esp when on Tournaments/sPvP. It’s frustrating as hell when your keys don’t respond and your opponents dissapear and reappear at random.

Hope this gets fixed as it’s really frustrating!

Yea, I’m from Australia, Sydney and I had no problems with lag during the Beta Weekends. Ever since launch the Dragonbrand server has been causing a ton of lag during PvP and PvE. I normally get around 200-320 ms latency which is normally playable on most MMOs.

It’s really frustrating when PvPing and kills the fun factor immensely.
