Does your wife have the proper user privileges to edit the files for GW2?
If you ever typed in your character name into https://hom.guildwars2.com/en/#page=welcome and your pc is old enough, you can try guessing it.
If you have a friend that still has the game, you could ask them to login and check their friendslist, otherwise, I dunno.

Friend of mine fell for Phishing email. The person who hijacked it is now buying a mass amount of gems, is it okay for her to block visa transaction to guildwars 2? I did tell her to contact support, and submit a ticket. Her accountname is Xian Homaku.2386 if that matters.

Unfortunately, Dius has to cancel most WvW events this week because of insane armount of lag, rubberbanding and disconnects.
Seems to be a widespread issue. Yesterday was just terrible. Most likely has something to do with the living world zerg madness that is going on now.
You are forgetting about the free trial currently happening this weekend which will increase said lag/rubberbanding/disconnects.
Had a fun fight at RoS Hills last night, we just got into the lord room and RoS starting waypointing en masse, I ran off to quickly hit a gate, sadly I missed out on some loot bags because of that.
I clicked one of the phishing emails...

I know I shouldn’t have, and I have changed my password, what do I do?
Hello, a question for anyone in this tier, what is the WvW like?
I’m curious about coverage/ commander style/ general WvW engagements.
Are tactics more predominant than zerging, or is here a healthy balance?
Are all 3 servers more or less evenly matched?
With it being a EU tier, which countries boast the most players, and what is the predominant language for each server respectively?
Coverage, mostly equal across all servers except during nighttime where drakkar has got less people.
Commander style, variable, at least on UW, stack and attack, ball of zerg are pre-dominant tactics for all servers (60 man zerg is extremely rare for a single server, max seems closer to 30-40). With zerg busting thrown in the mix by all sides.
Small groups do tend to break off to attack supply camps/undefended towers/defend stuff. Mostly some guild groups do this. For me, I tend to have more fun with small scale battles.
Tactics is mostly reserved for guild groups, mostle because alot of people in WvW are PuGs, which limits the options a bit to stack and attack the enemy zerg head on. During off-peak hours it tends to scale down a bit, but anything over 15 gets called a zerg pretty fast.
All servers are pretty evenly matched, with UW slightly in the lead, DL and Miller are very close. Typically DL has the lead early on from reset to about monday, followed by UW taking over on weekdays. Miller then plays catchup to DL for the remaining days. However each server has a fair chance of winning the matchup, after T4 this is probably the most balanced EU Tier.
Miller/DL, language is German, and most are from Germany/Asutria/Switzerland.
UW, language is English, with people from all over the EU, UK, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and a bunch of other countries.
I use a celestial build, with knight’s armor and divinity runes. Still has around 50% critical rate, 70% with fury which is most of the time. 60% critical damage, Berserker greatsword, berserker axe + warhorn. For WvW, I can do frontline skirmishing, small group roaming, and during sieges I can swap to a longbow or take the trait to use traps at range. My pet can tank champions all day long if they get in the way during pve exploration. Want to farm karka-shells, stroll up to them with GS #4, or swap from warhorn to axe offhand #5, or even let your pet attack first with F1. Tough enough to take just about anything on head first with your pet, plus with all the Heal over Time at your disposal you can stay alive exceedingly well. HoT is key to staying alive, because you don’t do burst damage, but still have a high enough sustained dps to mow everything down. The biggest threat is DoT, such as conditions, unless you use healing spring (but it lacks the HoT potentional of Troll Ungeunt), which means you are left with a signet that removes it every 10 seconds or sigils that remove on critical once every 10 seconds. I use condition duration shortening food in places with heavy conditions as a tool to mitigate the danger of DoT.
My current PVE build.
This build isn’t about you doing omg wtf awesomesauce damage, but keeping your pets alive and dealing damage with you. If your pet is dead you aren’t doing all the damage you can do. Of course they will die on occassion from being too dumb to evade a giant red circle, use return [F3], and swap [f4] as best as you can to avoid it.
With massive group events you’ll find your pet dies more often because of event scaling, but your pet will shine with smaller scale events/general pve solo’ing.

When you get an exotic drop.
You keep mailing your friends your loot because your bags are full, and you’re still busy fighting over SM at the lord room corridor.
Have WvW world completion on 9 toons.
I hope you guys are preparing for 24/7 worth of 50 player zergfest by BB, they should move up to your tier at the end of the week.
Place superior arrowcart behind door, and fire away.
Dusted off my mesmer and played it in UW border tonight, had some minor skirmishes with BNF ( recognized your charr ele and tried to get some confusion up on you) near Bay and Redvale early on. Defending woodhaven from RoS, placing a portal underneath that lovely ballista. Defending north gate of Hills against some persistant DZ multiple times, and a brief guest appearance by RoS at the walls. Throw in a couple times of running to crossroads when someone called out for a few people to come help defend it.
One fun encounter after Hills was empty of supply. It started with escorting a yak from Stargrove to Hills with someone else, only to have 4 DZ show up to take it down, quickly killed a lowby thief while the rest of them focused on my thief partner. Had a pretty persistant warrior trying to cleave/stun me, but kept the focus on his partners. Someone else joined in to make it a 3v3, and the fight was swiftly won, saluted the corpses. One yak delivered safely short there after.
Another fun moment, worth of note when I had a short one on one versus a DZ thief when running from Garrison to Hills earlier. I saw him by his lonesome, he started out with mug for ~4.5k, create clones, shatter, a heartseaker for 2k, phase retreat, a heartseaker some more clones cry of frustration, he stealths, decoy, he gets downed, try to stomp, he shadow steps, stomp #2, distortion and dead. From start to finish it lasted less than a minute, very high-paced.
I have to say using a Shatter/Confusion hybrid is fun, but should up condition damage to make confusion more useful.

Golem force 1.
I would not pay a single dime, already completed it. I was the tear thrower. 2 thieves for dps, 1 mesmer for timewarp/spark, and 1 guardian for the other spark shepherd.
That is nothing new, we always do DPS instead of kite when running guild groups. It is very easy when you’re used to it.
well good that my guild Divine Task Force [DTF] (half of the ppl that were on FSP borders) was capping the northern camps of FSP and it came to OUR mind : “hey we got guild golems to use” . so we went to watergate and placed the 1st and built it until the commander ‘yuffie’ came and placed the 2nd guild golem. same as we launched the attacks on Cragtop all the time until we managed to finally take it even with a zerg of FSP that outmanned us chasing us.
and they had a few defending but they just got nuked off by our range attackers.
and still a big thx to RoF to keep the defenders off garrison so we were able to take it.
I put down the second Guild Golem, not Yuffie, had 1 more Guild Golem in reserve if needed. Waited until after the first one was built before putting it down, making sure we had the supply needed. UMAD is my guild.
I have to say FS have some pretty unique tactics. You just spend half an hour trying to take the only tower we had on FS borders while UW had your bay. Then as you seemed so focused on fighting RoF you end up losing your garrison to UW aswell.
After, we (Underworld) got Bay, we went; “So what’s next?”. After which I suggested Golem Rush on Garrison watergate. We barely had enough people to get the second guild golem up, but luckily some more people made their way there, and soon we had 2 Golem having a smashing time. Didn’t see a single defender until after we killed the Keep lord. Needless to say, RoF makes for a good distraction.
We need more havoc and chaos!!
Sieging Bay on UW map last night was hilarious. Since they were only like 5 people and could only take out so many trebs at a time we put them in different positons.
Those pesky, but lovely, guardian team (with at least a elementalist as well) kept pestering us tho. In all fun and games manners I relogged my necro instead of getting xp on alt!
Best counter to guardian <3
I was the elementalist, and I got most of the DPS to take siege down fast enough, but do need someone to back me up. Wasn’t exactly a fair fight though, given you outnumbered us with more than 10 extra than us. I had enough with inner bay siege, after one necro on your team decided to glitch underneath the terrain and attack me from below, killed him with aoe through terrain as payback.
Damage Staff Build.
Traits:
30/0/0/20/20
Internal Fire (VI), Pyromancer’s Alacrity (VII), Pyromancer’s Puissance (XII)
Cleansing Wave (V), ( Optional Slot, use eather Cantrip Mastery (IX), or Soothing Disruption (III))
Elemental Attunement (V), Blasting Staff (VIII)
Heal: Ether Renewal
Utility: Armor of Earth, Misform, (Lightning Flash/Glyph of Storms)
Elite: Glyph of Elementals
Armor: Soldier (Power, Vitality, Toughness) armor, can be found on TP under Light Armageddon, or from dungeon vendors. Soldier jewelry. Can put emerals orbs in the jewelry, but that’s up to personal prefence.
2x Superior Rune of Monk
2x Superior Rune of Hoelbrak (Specific to this build)
2x Superior Rune of Water (Optional because of Hoelbrak Runes)
Weapon: Berserker Staff, but mostly up to personal preference, superior sigil of battle.
Combat: Start in [Water] or [Air], Chilled Ground/Static Field, followed by [Earth], Shockwave/Unsteady Ground, Eruption, [Fire], Lava Font, causing Area Might. Keep spamming fire skills until target is dead.
It happens when people don’t destroy the orb altar before capping the keep.
To get siege golems into position, chain portal them from the closest safe spot If Bay keep is well defended, check other gates. If best bet is north, set up catapults (tresbuchets can be used too, plus they can hit inner keep) on the ridge first to take out their siege, and attack gate if needed. Once siege is down or most of it, chain portal the golems in fast and take down gate, after its down, chain portal them back to safety. People go in, clear walls etc. If you managed to wipe out most if not all defenders, just chain portal golems to the inner gate and finish the job. If the inner keep has a ton of defenders plus siege. Scout which side is least defended, build a tresbuchet or two on cliff north of inner keep to take down siege and mad cow defenders. Chain portal golems inside keep, zerg gets on the jetty to distract defenders, golems get chain portaled to north or south gate not center and swiss cheese it. Mesmers portal the people on jetty inside, and fight fight fight.
Optional tactic is veiling portals so enemies suddenly get an even bigger shock.
PS: Swap the word gate for wall if needed.
