When they first implemented agony, they stated that agony resistance would only be obtainable through fractals. Considering the only infusible items involve fractals, I think it’s intended. You could say the act of infusing itself involves fractals, but maybe they don’t see it that way, even though the only difference is 1 vial. The other non fractal related ascended back piece, the karka shell, is also not infusible.
I’m pretty sure it’s because the karka shell is exotic.
It can be upgraded to ascended but not infused.
My guess is that for Light of Dwayna and Shadow of Grenth to become infused (if ever, initial cost aside), it will follow the same recipe that requires 250 ectos, 1 glob of mists essence, and 1 gift of ascension like all the other ascended backpieces.
It was just announced in-game to be 10min from now.
It’s a shame that a few of you EBay guys resorted to using glitches to hide in inner SM just a few minutes ago. We were trying to legit kill you for like 5 min without having to resort to using the same dirty tactics.

Look on the flipside of it. Players who want to start over fresh can do so using a new toon. That way, they can experience the game all over again from the beginning. Personally, I’ve been tempted to do just that even though I already have my “Honors in Applied Jumping” title simply because I really enjoy the nostalgia that SAB exudes.

Apparently you didn’t understand – these are ANETS words, NOT MINE:
“All overflow maps created within 10 minutes of the start of the invasion will host a concurrent version of that hour’s event.”
It’s not happening and it needs to be fixed – that’s all I said.
If they are going to SAY it will be CONCURRENT within 10 minutes, then IT SHOULD BE.
And you did t understand me. Concurrent means they happens at the same time. This does not mean that they finish at the same time.
I have been through no less than three events that had me map travel INSIDE THE TEN MINUTE LIMIT and there is NO WAY the “other” map that is, by ANET’s decree, had the SAME EVENT ON THE MAP CONCURRENTLY.
There is NO WAY that the map was “finished” in ten minutes or less!
Apparently there are some who just don’t get that I haven’t had this happen once and many others have had it happen as well.
If it is NOT supposed to be concurrent, don’t TELL us in the release notes that IT IS.
Just asking for a bit of logic for gosh sakes.
If I had made up that line and not taken it directly from the release notes, ok, but ANET said it, and it hasn’t been true, not once.

Using the obvious logic, there could be some players that left the map during the first 10 minutes due to connection errors or not wanting to be on that map for whatever reason. This will show a pop-up dialog for the next person waiting in queue. It really isn’t that hard. You make it seem as though this overflow queue system is a new thing.
The events seem to cycle through a certain order. It’s something like.. aetherblade pirates, escort, aetherblade pirates, escort, champ, aetherblade pirates, etc.
The locations of the champs are fixed. At a certain point, the champ will appear to walk out of the balloon tower and towards a fixed location. He/she will wait there until the event for defeating the queen’s champion becomes active.
There are five types total (shield, blade, hammer, pistol, and axe). The type that appears at a balloon tower event is random. What I suggest is camping on a map that has relatively easy balloon events (ie queensdale). The champ will appear way before the event is active. So you can see which balloon tower has which champ beforehand. Just be patient and you’ll eventually encounter one of each.
I don’t see why they should make it accountbound instead of characterbound.
To spread people more over the dungeons? The money makers are going to find a most profitable sequence within a couple of days anyway.Making it characterbound would still introduce more profession diversity in dungeons. After all, how many players have 8 lv.80 warriors? We might actually see some necro’s and engineers in dungeons gasp
You forget that making it character bound is open to abuse. Someone can have a fully geared character and a bunch of alts that aren’t even properly geared. They run the dungeon with the fully geared character and switch at the end to one of the alts to receive the gold reward for that alt. Rinse and repeat for the next alt. Assuming no DR is involved, this essentially yields 1g+ per run (and becomes a cof farmer’s heaven). Profession diversity is just a ruse. Making the gold reward account bound would prevent this abuse. Tokens and such should still be character bound.
