CRYSTAL DESERT THE BEST DESERT in the game!

I will say Crystal desert because I play their. I have played against sos for may reset. They are ok but could use improvement…they have strong ocean guild and therefore they win. I played them on reset and i can see they are some what disorganized. i know people will disagree, but i state what i saw.

hi, I play guardian and ranger. Both are fun in their category. since ranger is more mobile; guardian in a heavy so in combat enemies can come close to your face and you still live.

lot of people believe guardian is ‘less dps’ THIS is completely wrong. i can output same damage as any other class without any weird skill rotation. I usually take out my hammer(yes hammer) which is good on guardian. It has good dps and i can just stand and take hits without any concerns.

anyways, as you were looking for guild, I would recommend my server crystal desert which has good player. I will also recommend you my guild [pdox] which is east cost us guild with good players who are social and like to have fun. mail me ingame, we can play together.

I have the same processor and motherboard. the motherboard while playing gw2 runs around 40C at hot day. i73770 runs around 50-60C on hot day. which are fine temp for this cpu since tcase of i7 is 66C. i have 16GB patriot ram, forgot the name. I have nzxt phantom case(the full tower) which is really roomy for everything.

overall processor is nice choice over K model since i never overclock b/c 3.4 speed is enough…and heat kill the cpu no matter what other say.

i will say spend extra to get ssd which i have os and gw2 on.

@saravok- yah, i would also go for 8GB but it depends on usage. I think i ran games fine with 8GB. Also, i7 will come with new model but i dont think it worth the wait because currently i7 is serving me the best and the new one will be expensive when it comes out.

same error code…when i click log in.

this is what i do:
1) jump to another platform (always towards the enemy)
2) dodge to another platform(always away from the enemy)
3) use the help of skills like said earlier.

easiest is just jump to another platform. if you cant see the red circle and miss the orb coming toward you…train you self. lol.

you cannot tank as warrior…even guardian cannot tank. ^^see the engineer video…he is dodging the big hits. any class you play needs to do the same. DODGE out of big damaging hits.

@rchu:- defiantly i will wait for that.

the thing that kitten me off is i will love if our rank was lowered, i dont care about tiers, just good match up. not destroyed by servers on day one. sometimes 2 servers hold less then 10% of the points.

i love wvwvw that is why i came here, i gave up due to discouraged by constant lost and reading the update note to wvwvw i really want to play where it not getting killed 4*more then you kill someone else.

no offense taken. this is the first time i am actually even looked at transfer.

i have never transfered to anyother server. i am not like those who definatly want win but i am sick of it. we never found tier, still imbalanced by a lot. after playing for 2 months and getting nothing, now i am even looking at a transfer. NEVER before i have transfered out cause i was losing.

i am sure, you all know the fee(32g/20$) to transfer to a decent server. I also know it was free before but i see no point in it being free because before that time my server did alright lost some and won some. NOW i am sick of losing. everyone transfered out which really imbalanced the servers. TO this day we have not won a single wvwvw and before this guesting we tanked 5th or 6th.

to me it was the best server. as dev’s described it, free wvwvw transfer will let you decide which one is the best. i thought cd was best server for me until every guild decided to transfer and i did not know about this unlit it was too late.

so i have come here for help? what to do? I STILL WANT TO PLAY wvwvw…where i am not ‘murdered’ when i step outside. btw commanders on cd are rare plus sometimes stupid no offense.

i loved wvwvw before the jan update and now gave up since who their right mind enjoys losing.

i want to transfer out. I dont have an income(student) nor have the gold to turn in to fee. i have put in 100+hrs so i don’t want to delete my char just to transfer. is there any other way?

also a suggestion….make worlds with high pop to medium pop. there are no small pop servers.

build it be cheaper.

i get 60fps cause i put limit to it. why run more than that.
its i7 3770 cost 300
with amd 6950…it enough for any thing. no need to go for 7900s b/c price vs performance is not worth it.
got phantom case(love it)~110
and all the other stuff. total came to be around $725-750.

all the stuff i got was on sale. love it. runs anything and everything. i did not need amd graphics cause i7 can run gw2 top setting at 40 fps but why use internal.

Nope! RNG is RNG. No special character flags for loot. Nothing loot related was changed with maintenance, but that never stops people from making these posts after every single maintenance about it.

true that. nothing was changed in maintenance but was changed in last patch…..lol

As the topic says why play fotm at higher difficulty? i can just get the rings @ lvl 10 and be done with. I have my rings. I use to play fotm a lot(i am casual player so 5/week is enough). I use to get 5-6 rares each run which made me want to do it. that is when i was doing 2-8 levels.

recently i wanted to progress above lvl 10 so i did about 5 this week. I got 1 rare. fotm never rewards any money like dungeons and now no good loot. I DO KNOW it is not rgn or i am unlucky. i could be unlucky once twice but not 5 time to get big fat 0 rares except 1 time(i got 1).

[So, i recently calculated the cost of running fotm. since i run pugs, sometime death will happen. I calculated i get about 12s from selling all the junk i get and 6-8silver goes to repairs. Total profit on average was 5silver.
This is if i donot use any food. i use about 1silver of food. total profit after food is minus is 4s.
On average time it takes a pug to finish fotm on lvl 10-15 was 1hr 30mins. that is no one goes afk or take breaks.
so my point is 4s/1.5hrs is the reward. if you are pro you my max it to 12s/1.5h. if you get lucky you may get a rare and sell for 35s profit giving total of 45s/1.5 profit.]

COMPARE THIS TO ac or cm or cof or any other easy dungeon. for example i can run ac all 3 paths, in 1hr 30min and end balance of 1gold 30silver. +plus i get token for sweet weapons, armor and what not.

SO am i missing something? is there a special minipet i need to have when playing fotm? or the Chance at a rings should be more then enough reward for me to repeat the mists. I know daily give me 1 token and after 10 i get ring. lol spending 15hrs for ring? what the heck is this?

clearly i must be missing something that i am not seeing here or i am just stupid to write this?

PS do not response it just my luck. i know what is luck after playing mmos for yrs now. trust me.

if i were you i would do the following:

Exotic gear: mystic forge cause there is a chance of getting exotic item and sell it on trading post for money if you dont like risk go with toughtless’s option with black lion kit only!

as for exotic WEAPONS: go mystic forge all the way! no matter what. cause you know those precursor weapons. yah those!

haha true that. take no chance. i can tell you that the item will be of transmuted quality…and will keep the skin of twilight.

that is why i said like… i never took count of of my kills.

my point was what you said(more clearly); more you kill more chance of drops=more change of rare item.

if you like pve and decent wvwvw, i recommend crystal desert: because unlike other servers you actually see people other then in lvl 80 zones. Plus go wvw is alright not the best but people play at content rate. for example: most wvw is packed on fridays and almost empty later in week. crystal desert had same flow of people all week. i like it cause i do pve and dungeons and sometime wvw so it offers all.

It should work…it read it on forum that one can transmute starter equipment to another character. give it a try and let us know

In my point, magic find is waste of time. i worked to get exotic gear with magic find. I regret making that decision, since there is no point in having it on because normal mobs almost never drop rare. i killed like 2000 mobs and got 1 rare with non mf gear. on other character the out come is like 1800 mobs and 1 rare with mf gear. This is estimate. If i had normal exotic gear i kill much faster compare to mf gear. so they is no point in mf in my view.

“They only work on creature kills, chests however have a better table then normal kills. We wanted to avoid the game play of killing a boss and then having to equip your whole Magic Find set before opening the chest.
Also magic find is calculated from when the creature is killed so it’s also not viable to use your normal gear set kill a boss then switch to magic find.”

Hello, today i was playing fotm and got disconnected, was unable to enter back in.

according to the wiki update note:
Players can now reconnect to the Fractals of the Mists if they are disconnected.
Players can now connect to a fractal map even if they are not part of the original group that created the fractal instance.

i should be able to connect back in as i do in dungeons. I was unable to connect back in and the error that was given to me stated something like this: unable to connect, the world if full".

i experienced this yesterday too but after switching characters, relog i was somehow able to connect. BUT today when i disconnected my whole party was kicked out cause i was the leader.

bottom line- i am unable to reconnect to fotm after my connect is lost(not due to my connection but of the client). The update claims i should be able to do it but cannot therefore i am reporting this as a bug.
