worked for me @ AC barrage in wvsw, try that. Note; this was before the last patch, perhaps they already fixed it with the small patch that followed the main.

Just noticed that instead of going on the normal 15 sec CD it now has a CD of 4 seconds whenever you block ranged attacks. Is this intended, seems broken to me…

I am looking for a Guild and/or a group of people with whom I can actively start raiding upon launch of this new content. I consider myself a veteran player, been here since launch and even before that (Guild Wars). I even somehow found the time to fill my hall of monuments to the brim and get myself GWAMM. Yes… I really did play too much. Anyhow, back on topic. My main aim is to find 9 players (or a guild) to get a solid raiding party going. I expect that the people I will be raiding with know their class inside out and know how the AI behaves in GW2. I expect my fellow raiding members to be skilled as I would assume they expect the same from me. More importantly though is the synergy between the people in the group as it will be a group effort. In the end having a blast together is obviously the most important.

Just a hint towards any dev(s) reading this : being silent is not going to magically solve your problems here. In fact, every update with you being in denial will make things worse and it will spread among those not affected. After all, everyone with some common sense and empathy knows you are in the wrong here. At least have the decency to communicate with your player base and be open about it. As is it stands now you are going Electronic Arts style on your player base.. Just milking the cows…. Admit you mucked up, give reason and argumentation for it : Here, let me help you start this off, some homework:

1) Why is this taking you so long to fix, what are you hiding?
2) ETA on the fix
3) Solution in the meantime, do not think in problems but in solutions (give the boots to the player base that is stuck on their last achievement for Seeds of Truth → unforgiven infiltration)

I am sorry to bring this to you but you are in the minority here, then again you sure as hell are the vocal majority. Good lord. Shame you are not getting what you wanted so badly , I am feeling for you guys…..

Rumors are it’ll be fixed by today’s patch (just rumors so no source). Or maybe it is just me hoping for the best. It’ll be a kitten shame if, after a couple of months, we wont see a fix. There will be plenty of unhappy people, me being one of them.

Took me about 10 min to notice they nerfed drops @ Southsun Cove after their last Queen update. Pathetic.

Same issue here. It has been going on for a while now. Seriously annoying, especially the skill lag and random freezes of 3-4 seconds. I’ve heard multiple complaints around me, same issues. I give it another week and then give up on this game, been way to long already. And no, its not a problem which lies at my side. Can play any game perfectly fine without any lag what so ever. Checked pingtest.net and 0% packetloss on multiple servers. Unfortunately ANET’s server are in one word: CRAP.

The TP bots are still life and active. Numerous posts have been made, even wrote them a mail with undeniable proof . Nothing…. sad.

Doesn’t surprise me one bit, the nerfing of farming locations. ANET has a tendency to hate upon farmers. GW (1) is a perfect example of that. Every single form of farming was nerfed into the ground.

Cantha is part of Tyria. GW2 without Cantha would be a tremendous mistake. Cantha has so much to offer, especially if done as nicely as the original Cantha GW expansion. NCSOFT claims of not wanting to depict an Asian culture as one is plain ridiculous. For starters this is Tyria, not the World. The people from Cantha resemble what we know off as Asians, but they aren’t Asians, they are Canthan. Last time i checked this game is still fictional. If we are going to compare Tyria to the world as NCSOFT clearly does with Cantha=Asia then I, as an European, should be offended that I’m being portrayed as both a German, a Dutch, an Englishman, a Norwegian, a Polish…..etc. What about the Elonians? I’m pretty sure the African continent consists of not just one country with its own habits, language and culture but 54 of ’m.

Absolutely loved Cantha in GW, by far the most enjoyable region for me. The whole setting gave me this tranquil vibe.

that’s a notification program, not a bot. a bot would go one step further: take those notifications and place bids for you. I expect it’s that human bidding component that makes that notification program legal.

Yes but I think his point is, with the notifier, it is relatively easy for a human player to react upon his item being “uppercut” (it’s what I call it) almost immediately and uppercut the new price himself. So the phenomenon observed by OP can be easily attributed to the notifier since it’s a relatively popular program.

As I’ve pointed out before is it currently impossible to for any human player to relist 35-50 or so buy orders within the time frame this bot works on. So even if you have a program that notifies you, you simply wont be able to relist as fast as this bot does it.

Also, I feel like I’m reciting myself here, no human player would show this kind of systematic, bot like behaviour. ea; 10 at the time, same interval, 10 at all listings at the same time, no buy orders above 3s etc.

I have now been screwing the bot (and myself) over by adding buy orders above 3s. The script/bot doesn’t seem to trigger on most weapons when the highest buy order is 3.1s and >. Example; bot/script has a buy order at 2.50s, instead of placing mine at 2.51s (thus being outbid in an instance) I place mine at 3.1s. This way avoiding the bot/script to trigger.

No disconnects here but:

Since the flame and frost patch I’m experiencing lag. Especially during WvsW fights and SPvP.

-On my thief stealth sometimes doesn’t trigger.
-And/or Im visible eventhough im stealthed
-General skill lag, 1 a 2 sec delay
-General lag spikes during combat
-Peoplet cant stomp me and I cant stomp them

When I place bids like that I spend the 10-15 minutes placing them, then immediately go through and remove/replace bids that are overcut. Get as few as 3-4 people doing this concurrently and you’re bound to have instances of “instant 1c higher”

That would make sense if its an occasional occurrence. But not at any given time of the day and at with the same interval of them being replaced.

Replacing buy orders that are overbid takes time since the system of browsing trough, relisting and going back to your buy listings is awfully inefficient at the moment. This doesn’t match the time my buy orders have been overbid.

This would only be possible if someone is relisting its buy orders on a constant basis, meaning 24/7 at any given time without even checking the ones that have been overbid.

Highly doubt it judging on;

a) Overbidding happens in a fraction after placing my bids
b) Always with the same quantity of 10 per weapon type
c) Overbidding happens at any time of the day/night
d) With any of my previous trades (same weapon category) I haver never seen this behaviour

So I’ve been buying lots of rare lvl 53 weapons for a while now. I’m doing this for trading purposes. During a trade I place around 35-50 buy orders on a variety of weapons within the lvl category described above. Adding all these buy orders takes about 15 min. It generally takes quite a lot of time before you see any of your buy orders filled. Lately I’ve noticed the following:

Whenever I place my buy orders, someone or something immediately overbids me by 1 copper making my buy orders useless since I’m not on top any more, thus I wont see any of my orders filled. Now of course being overbid is common and an annoyance we all face. This is not what amazes me. What does amaze me is the speed in which I’m being overbid shortly after putting my buy orders up. As I’ve mentioned it takes about 15 min to place all these buy orders. Though I’m being overbid within minutes. The thing or person overbidding me always orders in a fixed number, being 10 of each of the 35-50 different lvl 53 rare weapons.

I tested whether or not it makes any difference at what time of the day I place my buy orders. I’ve placed ’m in the morning, afternoon, night, midnight and very early in the morning. No matter when I place ’m, the same thing happens all the time. I get overbid by this kitten using a script or bot rendering all my efforts useless.

Obviously this sucks for me because I pretty much cant get any of the weapons I want unless I start buying them at high sell order prices. What worries me the most however is what damage these scripts or bots can do to any individual player out there and on the economy as a whole.

I’m not sure what I hoping to achieve with this post. Perhaps to create awareness so that they might get banned or caught, this is probably a long shot. Maybe anyone of you has noticed the same recently in other parts of the TP?

Except most of GW1’s skills came from future expansions. There wasn’t so many options when GW1 was released. We had about the same amount of options.

Aevic is correct then. Do the math

Warrior in GW1: 35+41 = 76 skills (Common + Prophecies – at release)
Warrior in GW2: 75 + 9 Burst skills + 15 skills in skill chains + 9 Banner + 5 Rampage + 8 downed/drowned = 121 skills, Even if you get only the 75 skills they are equal in number

In conclusion, the “Guild Wars 1 had more skills” argument, is invalid

Sir, I’m afraid your calculation is invalid.

What you forgot to add is the second profession. In total there were 10 professions. So add to that list another (rough estimate) 1200 skills or so. This includes PvE only skills, which you failed to add too.

All in all to skill bar options (and the whole system of it) in GW is far superior than what they are in GW2. Making it a valid argument.

Porsches and ferrari’s are expensive but they’re not legendaries. Weapons like Twilight are legendary but that doesn’t mean they have to be expensive in order to keep their status. Legend and gold should not be the main standard as to who is legendary and who isn’t.

There is no reason to be rude to those that aren’t enjoying this particular jp. They want it to be less challenging because it’s ridiculously difficult for some of us. Good for you that you got it, but I am pretty annoyed with the amount of tries I have to put in to even get part way up the tower, I am annoyed that this is a holiday jp that won’t be around long enough for me to really master it because I have a life. I am annoyed that this is what they chose to give us when we were expecting something lighthearted and fun for the holiday. I am annoyed that others expect me to put in hours upon hours of my life into this just to get to the top. The time does not equal the reward at the end.

A challenge is a perfect way to test yourself. The bigger the challenge, the more rewarding for making it to the top. Perhaps the reward for making it to the end is the feeling of finally having beaten it. The loot it just a pleasant side effect. To me you are suggesting you don’t even like to give it multiple tries. Since you think in the following way; Time > Loot. You’d much rather just have the loot and get it over with, without investing in time by fault and error. There is no motivation in you in kicking some puzzle kitten by finally getting to the top, even if it takes A LOT of tries.

I laughed reading that part. Remember that game called Guild Wars? Let me remind you.

It was a pretty neat game, had all these different classes and builds that could be designed to your liking. Obviously this freedom of build creation gave farmers the room to mindcraft their farm builds to high potential. May it be team builds or single farm builds.

Anyway long story short. We had countless individual and team farmingbuilds. To name a few: 55hp monk, 600hp monk, 600hp monk plus smite monk, 55hp or 600hp with SS necro, E/ME solo uw farmer, Terra-way, A/E way etc etc

Now comes the funny part. Each and every of these farm builds were nerfed to the ground.Nerfing each and every single build was not enough. Loot-scaling, remember that one? I’m sure you do. In a sense its exactly the same as this stupid implementation. Oh how enraged I was. All that rage is coming back again now, thank you. Oh what about that other one which came with loot-scaling, foes brake agro when they take too much damage, ye totally loved that one too.

I’ve seen enough and experienced enough to say that ANET hates and despises any farmer out there.
