Just to add my own invite, everyone regardless of profession or experience will be made welcome on Whiteside Ridge, and I’m sure that the guild I’m in [EVO] will take new members who are looking for a friendly bunch of folk to go on the rampage with. Looking forward to seeing some new faces.

Have you got “Tribulation Caverns” its behind a Veteran Elemental in the south west corner of Dredgehaunt cliffs. There’s no POI’s, Hearts or Vista there, but I think there’s a jumping puzzle.

1) What do you like best about WvW? What keeps making you come back for more? What keeps you interested or keeps it fun?
- The people on my server who have been very friendly & helpful, can’t thank them enough. The fights even though I’m not so good at it. Good & patient Commanders, don’t know what we’ve done to deserve them but many thanks to them all.
2) What do you like least about WvW? What makes you frustrated about it or makes you want to stop WvW in favor of something else like PvE, PvP or even EotM? (I consider EotM play separate).
- To be honest not a lot, even when we’re massivley outnumbered we still manage to have some fun. (I must frustrate some of the more experienced WvW’ers with my poor skills! although I think I’m getting better)
3) What tier are you in?
Tier 9 EU – Whiteside Ridge
4) Have you switched servers for WvW? Why?
Never switched and have no plans to do so, can’t see any reason why I would.

As a new player to WvW, Whiteside Ridge has been great, the veteran players have all been patient with me and given me plenty of help. The fights have been good and there’s even been fun along the way. I’m proud of being part of Whiteside Ridge, and I’m sure all the people I’ve played with feel the same. There’s space for guild groups and guilds for those that need one. Hope to see you soon.

As a new player to WvW Whiteside Ridge has been excellent, with a friendly community that are happy to help, and I need a lot of help, with several guilds to choose from. No queues, teamspeak is available, WSR has both casual and hardcore guilds and plenty of opponents.

I’ve got a warrior to level 47 but can’t get enthusiastic about playing him, just seems static and dull to play. So I’ve started an engineer and so far got up to level 29 but he is much more fun to play. The engineer needs a more thought than the warrior. On a personal note I like torching things with the flamethrower.

Not sure about the losing stuff if no one represents, but just so you are aware, you can’t store account bound items in a guild bank, e.g. Bloodstone dust, which is clogging up my bank tab. Hope this helps.

To quote the OP “it’s not even funny to play like that (200-250 vs 50)…”. Well as a resident of Whiteside Ridge I have to say these odds look rather good. Tally Ho old chap!

I’ll probably get hung for this but coming from Whiteside Ridge I’d have to nominate all our commanders, along with the Vabbi commanders. It can’t be easy trying to command what is basically a forlorn hope against overwhelming odds but they keep trying. So thank you to them all.

Having this problem on Whiteside Ridge too.

Don’t know if this is connected to the stealth hack or not, but I was battling one on one with a warrior this morning when I lost the ability to target him, then he vanished, 5ish secs later he reappeard but i couldn’t target him and my skill buttons refused to work, they all flashed but nothing happened, my pet was also missing. At first I thought it was a hack, but this warrior was moving as though he was looking for me. For a couple of minutes all I could do was move. The warrior moved off and I set of towards a camp, when all my skills went of at once, the skill buttons were still flashing up to this point. Don’t know if it’s a bug or my old PC? But maybe this is happening to others and both sides think the other is using a hack.

My main is a level 80 Ranger who I enjoy playing, however having tried WvW I’ve decided to level up a Warrior to try in WvW. Ranger was too squishy espescially as real life opponents will ignore your pet, which doesn’t happen with NPC enemies in PvE, (I know I need to learn to play better but my game time is limited by real life). I’ll still use my Ranger in PvE but once my Warrior is levelled up hopefully I’ll be a little more successful in WvW. I don’t know if this will help your decision or not.
Good luck & happy hunting!

Still managed to have a bit fun yesterday. Battling 5/6 FOW in WSR BL, northern most supply camp. About 18:30 5/6 FOW & 5/6 of us from WSR battled for 10-15 mins and then my PC locked up, by the time I’d kicked the box and rebooted it, it was all over and we still had the camp (happy ending for us!). Many thanks to all involved.

Just a thank you to the WSR Commanders who were online today. I’m fairly new to WvW so it was good to have some ideas coming out about what objectives etc. to take. I last tried WvW after the big guilds moved onto more competitive servers, and couldn’t get anywhere without being jumped up and down on by several enemies. Much more fun today, so many thanks to all who participated from the three servers. I will definately be visiting the mists more often. Particular thanks to two WSR commanders who I ran with “Ugly Unicorn” and you with the latin sounding name “av ??”, sorry I can’t remember your full name, but I will recognise it next time I’m on.
Anyway if you’ve not fallen asleep reading this, good hunting & have fun to all.
P.S. Thank you to the Veterans who took me under their wing this morning, can’t remember your names but you might remember me by the daft “What do i do with blueprints?” question.

Hi, I did your test and came out as a Warrior. While i’m playing Ranger at the moment, have been debating wether to start a Warrior as an alt. Also noticed no Rangers on your chart.

Glad to have helped, and I think it was connected to one of the living stories.

Not long since they added a new POI to Divinitys Reach. If I remember right it was in the Southern section somewhere. Hope this helps.
Whiteside Ridge o/
I missed Calx’s Hideout in the lower South East corner of Metrica Province, no POI’s or hearts there.

Found this in an earlier thread. Hope it helps.

Easiest solution is to check the maps on the wiki since they include the borders of each discoverable area. From that you can see which ones contain no heart/poi/wp.
For Shiverpeak you might want to check Tail of the Serpent and Lair of the Coil in Timberline Falls.
For Magumma check Aurora’s Remains in Brisban Wildlands and The Serpentwinds in Metrica Province.

Many thanks to you both for your replies. SeeingBlue, I appreciate your offer but I’ll be taking up Caris’s offer being as I’m happy with the Whiteside Ridge server.
Caris, what do I need to do to join up? Currently working nights, but should be on tomorrow night at somepoint.
Again many thanks and have fun.

Have been playing about 6 months now and somehow managed to get my Ranger to level 80. I’ve mostly played PvE and have recently started dipping into WvW, PvP doesn’t appeal as my reflex’s are slowing with old age. I am a casual player and only get online 4 or 5 nights a week for 1 or 2 hours, real life (Wife, kids & job) keeps rudely interrupting my game time.

They are all over the maps, there are little bucket/basket symbols that appear on the maps similar to how the holographic dragon symbols came up, but not as visible. They’re quite small and black & white. As far as I know you can only access them once a day, but others may know more. Hope this helps.

8/10 Because I like reasoning and the sound of it, assuming I’m pronouncing it correctly.
My human ranger is Helmut Von Luckless. I originally came up with this name for my U-boat comander in Silent Hunter 3, and the name fits my noble upbringing in Divinities Reach.

Can all this happy ranger tell me what build they are using to stay happy …Right now im have a sb that shooting unicorns and those horses do nothing at this moment ..Im traitless in LA confused …I dont want my horses to get fat !!
Wilda, I use a Longbow for my main & a Sword/Axe combination for my secondary set for when enemies get too close. I guess others will argue for different set ups, but this works for me. Hope this is of some use.

I am happy with my ranger, but then I’m only a casual gamer, all the talk of DPS and “builds” goes way over my head. Only really do map exploring & events (I think this is Pve?). But I enjoy may ranger and nobody seems to complain when I help them. Also can somebody explain what nerf means? Many Thanks

AAhhh this explains why I thought I completed Divinities Reach, yet upon visiting the other day I was missing a point of interest. Found it easily and as a previous poster said you can just walk up to it. Glad it’s not senility creeping in, in my old age. Hadn’t noticed the Gendarren Fields one, but haven’t been there for a while.
