haha, thats a bit more complicated then i expected.
had to read that article 3 times to understand less then half of it.
Once upon a time i used to have decent ELO rating for Magic the gathering (Constructed format). i stopped playing but 3 years later i was still entitled to a first round bye at an GP.
Kudo’s to the people for choosing a system that actually takes time into account.
now i wonder whats the rating period for pvp?
is it a day?
but a guildy of mine has 33% rank with a 14/9 win loss.
Can somebody explain why the player with more wins has a lower rank on the leaderboard?
>>>The pet and spirit STEAL BOONS which is terrible.
pets dont steal boons at all, they have a lower priority at getting buffs then players.
maybe it used to be true in 2012, but its 2014 now.
maybe people are doing the Worldtour since they had plenty of time to do the LS.
ouch, no supply in keep and WP almost done.
could be good in combination with Shadow Refuge.
I have used to with some success in Mad Kings Labyrinth.
Nature’s Protection is better in most cases, and there are more good traits in the nature line so you end up not using it even if you have 20 point in nature
expert speed dungeonrunners use sword/warhorn in berserker gear
in WvW you can surf the meleetrain with GreatSword in Pvt/Valkyrie gear
double teaming at SM?
If there is one place where people are lootbag hunting its Stonemist.
I wonder how it will interact with
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Superior_Rune_of_Altruism
could be interesting if the cooldown is short
how about a 30/20/0/20/0 build?
you can combine bow traits with moving spirits.
with those new people coming to RoS a Matchup with Blacktide and RoF would have been so much more interesting.
Vabbi, RoS, Arborstone and Fort Ranik are currently Medium servers.
Transferring there is free atm. But WSR is High pop so that would cost 800 gems.
The fight at Cragtop with Vabbi at resetnight was interesting. I guess because the RoS zerg was at another map.
muddy terrain, spike trap, frost trap, frost spirit.
i think the real zergbusting guilds run with more then 10 people and moved to Silver league servers.
Most of these servers wont be Medium, so they are gonna cost you gems.
Personally i enjoy being on RoS, because there are at least 3 guilds that accept support from nonguildmembers when running in WvW.
it seems there are not enough people to create zergs at all 4 maps in this matchup.
maybe just EB+ 1 border?
i see, never been on a higher tier server.
I do wonder what rank 8/9 and rank 17/18 servers are gonna do this month.
“Chill” in the hope of getting ranked in a lower League?
The basic definition of “opportunity cost” is this:
“… the value of the next-best choice available to someone who has picked between several mutually exclusive choices.”
you could store something else in you bankspace that may rise in value faster.
Sell your sprockets when you have decided what that something else is.
dont you mean Seafarer’s Rest?
They came first last week.
Switching Fort Ranik with RoS would have made 2 matchups a lot better.
Better luck next week.
do you guys mean an item like:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Grandmaster%27s_Training_Manual
which you can buy for 2 gold?
consider using Off-Hand Training if you use a Warhorn. that would mean a higher uptime of Fury and you can use Hunter’s Call up to 1200 range in WvW.
Sword 2 means that you can summon a spirit out of melee range and jump back without loosing any extra dps. If you dont use a spirit you can also cast Hunter’s Call.
you could just buy the Chest and Leggings and keep the rest of the slots more focused.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Prefix
under the header Level 80 attribute values you will see that the chestpiece give the same stats as Shoulders. Gloves and Boots combined.
Wiki says Slash hits twice.
Does that mean that Carnivorous Appetite works better for Birds?
Does it mean that mean that birds have a higher Burning and Protection uptime in combination with Spirits then other pets?
>Why would I run my ranger in WvW? Rangers are a magnet for thieves, hands down, >because thieves know how easy a ranger is.
i notice thieves like to target me in WvW.
thing is, i am using Nature’s Protection, Bark Skin and Runes of the Earth.
Most thieves panic and run, some fight and die with birds pecking at thier corpses.
Longbow is fine if you can retreat behind walls or hide in the zerg.
Replace it with another weapon(s) if you want to roam.
its not 4.
At least +15% boon duration.
Pets dont dodge, the protection lets them survive a hard hit from a boss mob giving you time to heal or swap.
Companion’s Defense is especially good in combination with Fortifying Bond for extra long protection on your pet.
Not as long as “Guard” off course, but that wil cost you an Utility slot.
If your pet can survive, go Offense.
