I think the rev nerfs just take rev from absolutely 100% compulsory in a team down to a strong choice if the player is really good. Sort of like mesmer, but not exactly because mesmer is actually optimal but can’t say the same yet about rev post nerfs. We’ll have to see
Rev still has some of the best cleave in the game with quickness sword auto and staff 5 with malicious reprisal+legend swap is still an unblockle burst which CCs

So recently I’ve been having huge FPS drops down to like 2-5 fps for 60-120 seconds. First started when I watched twitch and played GW2 at the same time but now it’s even happening when GW2 is the only program I’m running.
I’ve scanned for malware, updated my drivers, unparked my cores, use the high performance power setting and lowered the in game graphics but I’m still getting the drops, what gives?
Edit – noticed when I get the FPS drop my ping also spikes from 50 to 150-300
Any help is appreciated

Not entirely sure why but this change seems to mean that the damage is significantly lower, in PvP at least. Bug? Nerf?
Rev is currently unplayable in it’s current situation
sword 3 completely bugs out 50% of the time just leaving you stuck in place
With what happened in the vermillion vs. TCG match last night, I felt that I absolutely had to post in a thread like this because I am just unable to get over how much of a bad decision it was to just let that match carry on with the constant disconnects that vm had. If the result of that match stands then season 2 of the pro league is absolutely ruined for me, because that was the absolute most important series of the EU pro league when It comes to finals qualification and it was decided by a dc. Absolutely terrible. I really hope that the match is replayed at a later date. if they won’t let it happen with a different meta, then there is still next week to play it, have 6 games that week, I really don’t care. It will be a huge mistake for that match not to be replayed. If TCG win it as a 5v5 that is fine, but just don’t let a dc decide the most important game of the entire EU pro league.
Sorry if that sounded like me raging, but I needed to post something like that just to get rid of all the frustration I feel about that match. As for the OP, I think that having a 6th player in the match as a spectator would really help because it would limit the impact of a disconnect and allow matches to be fair which can only be a positive thing. If that is not allowed then I think that there should just be a reset of the game no matter when in the game it happens (maybe unless one team has more than a 200 point lead or something) and then if another dc happens then I think that the remainder of the series should be played on another week (keep it at 1-0 or 1-1 if those games were fine). It just stops me from enjoying the pro league if games are decided by disconnects so I hope the rules are changed.

so many lost pips thanks to DCs on my team, so few gained for 5v4s due to enemy DC
So I’ve tested this a few times now and it seems a few other people are having a similar problem – in WvW (Eternal Battlegrounds specifically) we seem to have much higher than usual ping and sometimes the ping will spike way up… WvW is near unplayable for me atm. I’m not having this issue in PvE maps or LA or anywhere else in the game, only in WvW and it’s been like this for over a day now. Hoping a fix will come soon.
You guys are crazy. UA has so many counter plays it’s ridiculous
If you’re a Mesmer you have clones and the damage is instantly 1/3 or less. Or you could stealth, or pop a distortion, or even dodge and eat a little bit
Engi stealth or spawn gyro to cut damage in half and dodge once – most damage mitigated
Teef stealth or interrupt with pistol 4
Ranger pet – damage is halved combined with 1 dodge mitigates most damage
Ele shocking aura interrupts – mist form or burning speed and a dodge
Warrior, infinite dodges or endure?? GS 3 and 1 dodge?? Shield block?
Do I really have to go on? UA is literally 90% of a revs entire weapon set pressure and is stupid easy to avoid
Several PvP build components have been removed in order to promote healthy gameplay:
Runes of Svanir: The sixth bonus from this rune set now applies 5 seconds of Frost Aura when struck while below 20% health, rather than ice blocking the player.
Removed Minstrel Amulet. Anyone who has purchased this amulet will be refunded their gold.
Removed Rune of the Ogre.
Removed Rune of the Lich.
Removed Rune of the Pirate.
Engineer
Adaptive Armor: Reduced the toughness gained per stack of Adaptive Armor from 100 to 60.
Human Growth Hormone: Reduced the duration of might granted from this trait from 20 seconds to 15 seconds.
Ranger
Lingering Light: Increased the internal cooldown on this trait from 3 seconds to 12 seconds and reduced boon duration to 3 seconds.

The chest of mists give 2-4 proof of heroics (it’s random). You’re mistaken: you only got 6 proof of heroics due to bonus chests.
I don’t know how bonus chests work but apparently I have over 60 remaining, and even when I used to farm in EoTM I never ran out of bonus chests?
Are you sure Mystogan? I haven’t had a chance to go to the vendors yet but here is a quote taken directly from the news page when hero point farming in WvW was announced “Combining 5 proofs and 150 Badges of Honor yields 1 Notarized Scroll of Maguuma Heroics.”
I’m confused, I’ve heard from multiple people that it requires 200 WvW levels to unlock all 400 HP for a full elite spec. However I’ve been gaining 6 proofs of heroic per WvW level and to my knowledge a Maguuma HP only costs 5 proofs of heroics which gives 10 HP total. This means it should take only around 33 WvW levels to obtain all 400 hero points. Am I mistaken or could somebody please clarify for me?
So the 52 page thread is a mess and as a result I’m going I make a concise list of suggestions mainly from others in that thread and a few of my own experiences
Most agree it’s good that there is at least some requirement for the elite specs and you’re not just given them instantly so here are some ideas to make the current challenge less grindy. I’m not going to explain each one as they should be pretty self explanatory
1 – Just don’t make any of the Hero Points require more than the very first mastery point in each mastery line
2 – Change HP challenge mobs to veterans instead of champs
3 – reduce number of HP required to ~120 points BUT they have to be maguuma jungle points so people can’t just access them instantly from old tyria hero point completion
4 – Only mark the hero points you can do with your current mastery in green – the rest should be red and have info about what mastery is required when you hover over it
Those are the important ones IMO, not asking for all of them to be implemented but any of them would be a massive help

So I’ve had nothing but free time to play over the last 2 days and my revenant is now 20 hours old (about 3-5 hours of AFKing in there too). I’ve managed to complete 11 hero points and my Herald is now 27.5% complete. I hate PVE and I find it mind-numbingly boring but I honestly don’t think it’s as bad as you guys are making it out to be. You put the work in, you get rewarded with more build diversity, a new weapon and new play-styles. It’s really not that bad at all and this is coming from somebody who hasn’t done an hour of PvE in GW2 for the past 2 years, and I’ll probably never do PvE again when I have unlocked the elite specs I want. Oh and I probably won’t finish my rev’s elite spec for another week or two due to less available play time but I still don’t have too much of a problem with that. Those of you who play the game for PvE and are complaining I absolutely cannot make sense of that in the slightest… it’s about the journey not the end goal.
Kits no longer proc weapon swaps. Instead you get an f6 called recharge. It has a 10 second cooldown and when you use it it decreases the cooldown of all skills in the currently equipped weapon or kit by a certain amount. It counts as a toolbelt skill. It would be instant.
What? Is this going to be implemented in HoT? Because it seems to be procing energy sigil for me
Don’t be upset at other people linking traits if you open up your argument by comparing one trait to another.
The reasoning I see behind the amount of passive traits for the Revenant is because our utilities are “locked in”. It’s more beneficial for us to have active, offensive/defensive utility skills since we can only choose between 2 themed sets. We have no signets with passive boosts, and our legends don’t increase stats or add effects. We use our traits for our bonus to stats, on-demand boons like prot or stability (yes Jalis has a stability skill, but it’s not fast reaction, with a high energy cost) and anything that other classes have easy access to. For example if I’m in a match against 2 hammer warriors with rampage, I can’t just equip different utility to help counter the CC, I need to change my entire build, which will likely take away from my damage or support or a bit of both. Revs weren’t built like the other classes, so don’t be upset that they have more passive traits, you’re comparing apples to oranges.
Whether it’s OP or not is irrelevant, 9 days of actual in game data isn’t enough to decide what needs to be changed, but it’s a great starting point and that’s what he have now.
If you think that passive traits in general need to be redone, fine but you’re in the wrong sub-forum for that. If you think Rev is just class for noobs to faceroll the better players, then you will just come off closed minded. Either way you’re complaining a week before people even get to see how things will work out, no one is very inclined to listen yet.Helseth is a great player and all credit to him for his success, but he can be a bit of a doomsayer. Don’t follow the herd and repeat what he says just because you watched a lesser player avoid his burst combo.
My intention wasn’t to compare the revenant’s traits to other classes’ traits. Unfortunately I didn’t make myself clear enough for people to understand, and probably posted this thread in the wrong sub-forum as you said. I am just tired of traits like the ones I mentioned carrying people in fights who should otherwise be dying, and Anet adding more of these things with a new class just kittened me off a little – I thought there were already enough of them in the game.
I don’t get my ideas from Helseth, I’ve had these thoughts for a long time already but people will only listen to somebody with proof in the pudding so I used him as a voice to vent my frustrations.
Reading this thread though it seems the number of people being against strong passives that can make or break a fight are minimal. As such, I won’t bring it up again.
You guys giving me examples of other traits similar to this are clearly missing the point entirely.

I agree somewhat with the mentality, but rev can still be beaten and countered, and other classes got cheese too
Yeah the thread wasn’t targeted towards Revenant specifically but rather just these kinds of traits. Suppose you might say it’s in the wrong section of the forum but I was referring to Revenant traits so I just came straight here

As someone who has plenty of SPvP games on an Engineer, you are lying to yourself if you don’t know why people get mad at Engineers:

Elixir S and Gear Shield need to be removed from the game. And before you say “ur just kitten” almost all my games in SPvP are on Engineer to the point where I can’t really play any other class. If you play Engineer only to cycle invulnerability while waiting for Healing Turret and hundred nades to cool down like a cheese salesman you should just go play Mesmer or Thief, I heard they have an opening on the “huge coward who think’s he’s good” position.
You aren’t “outplaying” anyone. You aren’t even playing the game. You’re playing the waiting game.

Do you know what endure pain is? Do you know what balanced stance is? It’s like elixir S only you can use ALL your skills while essentially invuln
Gear shield? So kittening what! Warriors have a shield on a similar cool down too! You can’t DO anything while you’re blocking!
This entire argument is kittened. Literally every class has this type of mechanic and in the majority of cases you can actually use skills during (endure pain, distortion, passive blocks on guardian etc)
I mean when you pop elixir S you are generally about to die so what you need to do is take note of what’s on cool down and what isn’t, you need to know what you’re going to do as soon as it ends and you have to watch to see if your opponent pre casts a skill just before elixir ends in case you need to dodge
I honestly don’t believe that you’ve played engi. I’ve played all classes and there is no doubt engi is up in the top bunch in terms of how much thought is required to play it.
So I’ve been back to my warrior for about a week now and I’ve been playing around with weapon sets and traits a little bit for WvW and duelling in OS. Mainly been using GS/Ham. It’s decent, but I feel like any player worth their salt can make an easy time of kiting this build. Not to mention getting ruined by D/D eles, competent thieves and medi gaurds with their kitten blocks.
That said, what do you Warriors think is the best 1v1 WvW build currently? No Rampage plz
So I’m not 100% sure about this, but I’ve been noticing for a while now that sometimes after using mind stab I’ll get stuck for 1-2 seconds and not be able to move or dodge, which sometimes ruins 1v1s for me. Has anybody else noticed this or is it an issue on my end?
Seconded. Duelling in OS right now, can’t see this not needing to be nerfed.
So I’ve recently switched to S/D after playing D/P for a few months. S/D is way more satisfying and fun. I can kill your average roamer in WvW and I’m pretty decent at the build after practicing a whole lot in OS.
HOWEVER, I feel weak against a skilled opponent, almost like I’m playing an overnerfed build or something, it feels like it’s missing that bite that the other metas have. It’s like I need to play PERFECTLY to kill a decent ele or ranger who can make a ton of mistakes and still get by. Don’t get me wrong I love it so far but I do feel so hopeless against a decent ele/ranger/engi that I’m often finding myself refraining from even engaging them. Perhaps there’s something I’m missing? build is 2/0/0/6/6 with mainly zerk and a piece or two of valkyrie armor with precision food.
