Hello All

Just a quick question about the nice looking armour. I see people with some awesome gear. Really pretty and colourful. I was wondering where do you get this gear.

I looked at all the dungeon vendors and I couldn’t see any of the gear that these players were wearing.

I have a level 80 warrior with gear from some dungeon north of Ascalon. I been away for the game for ages, I can’t remember the dungeon name.

I am thinking of returning to the game but I had to move my computer out the spare room. The way my router was installed and current location I have no choice what so ever but to play my PC with a wireless connection.

I bought a USB Wireless Adapter, Supports up to 150 Mbps, My Broadband is 100Mbps unlimited connection. I am currently at work atm so I haven’t tried this yet.

Is there anyone tried this or even running this?

I imagine the game would run fine running around the world but I am worred it will lagout like crazy in PvP or Dungeons

sweet ty. I found the boss blitz area, seems people just farm the mobs rather fight the bosses lol

Just as the title says I am lost in what to do here, I am a returning player basicly and I got no clue

I been to the area of the four winds and I just see people running about. I been to the Kryta for the Arena event and I can’t seem to find how to get in or start it lol

Basicly I love PvP but having a hard time finding a good PvP game o sink my teeth into.

I caved and went back to a certain MMO (shall remain nameless) hehe because I thought the PvP would get better, but thats more any player can get high rating burst fest now.

I used to play league but the sear amount of trolls and spam reports is just stupid so I am hunting through my old games to find some good PvP. Because I barely played this I am looking for some feed back while I am bored at work lol

I caved 3 months ago and went back to a certain MMO due to the new PvP season. God that was a mistake.

I main PvE in this game but I am very casual with it so not max level yet. but how is the PvP and is there any sPvP guilds in the game at. Rarely heard from them

Obsidian shards? You can buy those with karma at the temple of Balthazar. The third way is with laurels, from the laurel vendor ofc.

Cool, i got about 100k karma left, I could buy plenty for the crafting, Cheers for the info.

Only problem now is getting the place uncontested. I gave up trying to get grps when i first reach 80 last month, Just farming CoF p1 &2 for the exotics

I Keep the laurels for the accended gear, maybe i should get round to do fractals

I am currently looking for a Active English speaking PvE guild in Gandara EU, I am have recently reached level 80 and looking to to have fun doing guild events and dungeons and some little WvW

I am online most nights but not all so I am pretty active,

I haven’t done any of the story mode dungeons I must admit. Kinda hard to find a group to do them atm lol,

Anet posted saying there doing good, 3 million sales with over 460,000 different users a month, and a very strong Shop economy, so don’t believe online post about a game dying.

Everyone just compares it to WoW but face the truth, there is never going to be a MMO out there that will get those numbers ever. Just to many games out there to play to keep people just to 1 game. Unlike back then WoW was really the only great Online game then.

Also you don’t need to server change, I thought the Questing service is in game now. I haven’t been following the game much but only just returned to the game, so not sure if this feature is in game yet. If so then just guild on another server and grp with them. No need to change servers.

Also Anet do need to make money to continue with content so I don’t see a problem with server transfer fee’s. At least they gave you an option around changing.

Super Adventure Box will be back, and with new levels hopefully (that is what they promised). So not to worry, you’ll be able to enjoy this content again soon, and then some.

Just looking back at some Videos on Youtube about the Super Adventure box and I am kicking myself that i didn’t try it out.

Very happy tho that there bringing it back at some point. Also the fact they scale people to 80 to try it even if there not max level. I find that fantastic

As the title says I was shocked in a good way lol. I am one of those players that just dives in and out the game. I haven’t reached max level. I really only played the game when I was bored.

I never really gave it a chance tbh because I am use to the ways of WoW

So the past couple of nights I have been logging in and trying out this living story content and I have been REALLY!!! enjoying it.

I am a fairly new player to Guild War 2. I have had the game for a few months but due to irl commitments I have only just started playing again.

I am looking for a Active PvE/PvP guild. a place that’s chilled and up for a laugh. I am 30 years old from the UK and have a family so my time is limited but can be on for a few hours most nights but nothing hardcore.

I have 5 years exp in MMO’s, (World of Warcraft and Rift) I also play League of Legends and Diablo 3

Atm my Warrior is level 39, Will be making a Necro alt once I reach 80 on my main.

I currently took a break from the game and also work stopped me from continuing the game till now.

I just wanted to know from fellow GW2 players how the new patch is. I wasn’t a fan of gated content so, is the new system good? I mean the daily changes to the game.

DEAD?! If you go to “World selection” you will every server are “highly populated” or “Very high” and alot are full… You should check before making threads like this

That ain’t a status of Active players. Thats for how many accounts their is on that Home World.

For example say the Home worlds could only hold 10,000 accounts then it would be full.
The status would change to full, but out of the 10,000 there might only be 500 players active. Again thats just an example. I got no idea what the real numbers are

The game can look dead very easily. Last night in Lions Arch at prime time, it looked completly empty. I could not see 1 single other player in the entire map, not one. The chat on the other hand, was very active. If I came within a few feet of another player, they actually appeard! I don’t know if it’s my graphic settings, or a bug in the game itself, but other players do not show for me unless I am right on top of them, and even then, it seems to take a few seconds for them to slowly fade in to view. If I was away for awhile, logged back in and saw that? I would assume the game was dead as well.

That’s a bug I am sure WvW players have been crying out to get fixed. Think thats in the January Update to get fixed

Yeah it’s quieter but I still see plenty of people in the world. I know some irl friends that are coming back and alot of old guildes from other games, as long Anet keep to their promise with the new gear progression.

They came to this game because their was no gated content. Since Lost shores they just raged and left. They couldn’t be bothered with another WoW or Rift style gated content.

I believe what Zabanov said “I think GW2 is currently treading a slippery road. I tink it is make or break for the game with the upcoming large updates. If they screw that up a bit its over.”

So sadly i have a horrible feeling we will be very bored till late January, maybe even the very last week of January, and this “2 huge patches” was a lie.

Then play a different game in the mean time.

Not like you gotta play off your subscription.

Sadly there are no other mmos worth playing now or anytime soon.

Why limit yourself to mmos? There are so great stories to be discovered single player

I personally can’t justify spending $40-$60 on the 12-20 hours that most sp games are these days, better things to buy.

I recommend looking into single player RPGs. You’ll get a lot of hours out of those. I generally balance GW2 with other games as well. Considering there’s no sub fee, it makes it easier to balance with games.

I would Try Skyrim, Love that game and is my filler game for GW2

Currently leveling my first Character atm, Think I am going to do the same as ZudetGambeous. I have stocked up 100,000 Karma from just doing dailies and hearts, With the new tokens might aswell spend them getting gear as I level and Mats.

OR maybe people MIGHT go back to Orr and I could use them there

I am glad with the up coming changes. Covers a lot of things I wished for this game. Also got friends coming back to the game as long as these changes happen.

Got friends that hate dungeon crawling but with the achievement system coming into place, they are coming back.

Been very slowly leveling because I was waiting to see the post about the upcoming changes. Can’t be bothered with another dungeon spamming MMO. Reason why I loved the sound of this game till I heard about Fractals.

How does the Achievement system work. Does this count for daily achievements? I mean do u get tokens for doing the dailies cause if we don’t, at some point we are going to run out of achievements lol to get them

I think ANet are moving to try fix this, they have made a few small steps already like having a part of the monthly be for jumping puzzles, i do 2-4 different ones a day and

I am new to the game. I love jumping puzzles, One Problem is. I got no idea where they are. I was Diessa Plateau going for the skill point at the bottom middle right, after I got it my monthly said i done 1 jumping puzzle. So i think i found one lol

I think you are correct on the server population issue. I tracked my server for a week and it read full 24/7, this is not the case.

The most common sense answer is the population indicators show characters made on those servers, not people logged in.

I transferred from Henge of Denravi almost 2 weeks ago to Isle of Janthir. There are less people in PvE there, despite IoJ being listed as very high whilst HoD was only “high”. The reason for this is because there are alot more people in WvW than in HoD. And by alot more, I mean thousands. Meanwhile, everytime I have been in HoDs straights of Devestation you get 200 players “üncontesting” the temple. Meanwhile in IoJ, the first time I go there I had to try it with what ended up only being 10 people (where we failed obviously). The population size of a server would more accurately reflect the WvW population than the PvE population at present. At least I believe the lower pop servers are more likely to have a larger amount of PvE players from my experience.

Pretty sure the Server pop is not active players at one time. I think it’s how many accounts there is on that Home world, even if 50% ain’t been used there still on that home world

Frankly i am shocked by the responses happening in the forums. Everyone is going crazy, moaning about endgame or WvW or Spvp.

Game has been out since August. Give it time. YOUR NOT PAYING A SUB!!!!, just come back once they started adding in new features.

Take WoW for instance.

At launch it had nothing compared to what it has now. It didn’t even have PvP at launch.

Took them till end of TBC just to get Achievements in the game. Patch 3.3 End patch for Wotlk just to get Dungeon Finder in the game. and 4.3 just to get LFR and Transmog.
MoP before they got pet battles and item upgrades.

Yet everyone here is moaning like little kids just because u don’t have everything u want in the 1 go.

Give Anet time, They will be adding more the game as time passes. SURE!!! I could understand this rage and venom that’s in these forums if you were paying a SUB, which your not.

Go play something else and pick up the game when they add more. Anet ain’t just gonna add event patches the rest of the game lifespan.

Also these forums can be looked at without logging in. So anyone that might be interested in buying the game looks at these. I could understand why they might stay away.

Dungeon Finder, maybe not for fractals at first but at least for the other dungeons, from which I hear ain’t to easy to make now since fractals.

I ain’t max level yet to know this but I see it in LA and on Forums and other sites about how hard it is for other dungeons since Fractals got released

I am New player and don’t really know much what you guys are talking about but…. I have a level 28 Warrior and I have seen plenty of people in the game world. Had no trouble finding grps for Grp Events etc.

Also went to the Mists to find nearly all the Games full for SPvP so I guess all this hate is probs kitten people because of their dreams for this game and didn’t span out for them.

I was on Desolation but moved to Gandara to join a Guild which is I am loving to be a part of.

Both Worlds I had no problems at all and thats at lower level.

On the WoW point of View of this. Yeah I do notice it’s more crowded than GW2 but there is a far bigger player base and also a PC or Laptop 8 Years old can play that game. Lots of people in the World Can’t afford a Decent Current machine to Run such a Game as GW2

I have to guildies from WoW really wanting to play this game but can’t afford a computer that can run the game. But they can play WoW no problem. Thats a market Blizz defo aimed for

I am a new Player as well. I could very easily get burned out playing this game. I could play for hours and hours. To combat this I play League of legends and Dayz inbetween. I am loving GW2 atm and I don’t want to do what I did in WoW and just straight up dedicate my time to only 1 game.

Thats the beauty of this game. Doesn’t feel like a chore, unless ur farming for legendaires I guess but no way I am doing that lol

I am new to the game and not in a guild yet to answer this question but…..

Can you craft exotic gear once your max level? I ask because from what I read on the net . Orr is the place to go for exotic gear, the Karma vendors at the temples, but I hear no one goes there now since the Fotm came into the game.

Also noticed in the forums about people not going to Orr anymore

So I ask incase I am gonna hit a brick wall at 80.
