I’ll be moving on personally. I have a(of all things) ranger in Pre that’s lvl 18.5, thought I would go back and get LDoA on. Not after this, It’s left a bad taste for ArenaNet. At least I won’t care about any more of their expansions or CE’s. Saves me money for Resident Evil in the long run. lol

Okay, they also said bugs which we have had since beta would be addressed, there would be fixes for Rangers in the last patch, world transfers would last 1 week after release, name reservations, plus they said “It doesn’t suck your life away and force you onto a grinding treadmill; it doesn’t make you spend hours preparing to have fun rather than just having fun.”

Never mind I’m starting to see a repeating pattern here. Glad you enjoy your game, hope everyone else does too.

It would have to be my Ranger. As Solid Gold I also played nothing but a Ranger as my main in GW1. Loved the skill set and be able to play interrupt, plus I could “REMOVE MY PET” from my skill bar. This “Ranger” has a companion that’s little less then a meat shield, has no idea what the nearest target is, and even when I pack the worthless thing up… It pops out again when I enter combat, no, no, no stay packed up, you agro everything.

I haven’t logged in for the last 5 or 6 days, but, my daughter logged in tonight because she asked some friends to try the weekend event and I gave in and joined her. Instead of grabbing the lvl 80 and going to WvW AGAIN… I grabbed a lvl 24 Charr and went to finish Wayfarer Foothills. Two different DE’s later I’m noticing a repeat of getting a karma reward in the 60’s for gold participation. Are you serious? Low and mid level areas have absolutely nothing to offer higher lvl chars. and now there isn’t even a karma reward worth them going back near those zones for? So we’re all being ushered into Orr and fighting risen all day long? No thanks.

I wouldn’t give them away. It’s nice to think I can report bots to make the game better hoping something will be done about it. It’s nice to think that I can submit bug reports in the hopes that something will be done about it. I draw the line at harvesting new players for a company who’s manifesto obviously didn’t mean much though. IMO

I wouldn’t be surprised, if you look at the amount of sites that say they were giving away 1,000s of keys for this event. It doesn’t matter how many went out by players, every mmo site out there was giving them away too.

Before everyone starts with the “just another qq” why don’t you take the time to actually read the OP as it is in the link. This has nothing to do with the stupid gear, factals, ascended what ever it is. There’s actually a few that are concerned with the state of the game before this from a company we have spent years with and actually had for some reason believed some of their promises.

The original message was posted earlier in the day by another member of our community. They have recently posted another message with a link to this explanation for their departure. Right off the bat though it appears as though the wondeful community of GW2 told them how little they cared because it was just another QQ. Good job ppl, maybe you should learn to read before you start judging someone.

Reading the entire OP, I don’t see how these are an individuals own " Unrealistically high expectations". It would appear that these are things PR and Devs were quoted as saying, links provided in other posts of this to the original remarks and interviews. Things that numerous players were expecting in release from what we were told, what we unfortunately took at face value and believed. Something quite a few players have a tendency to do after supporting a company for numerous years and looking forward to the release of every new expansion they come out with. I know I did. Especially after geeking on the original GW for six years.

The broken promises and falsehoods that I feel I personally have encountered are what have lead me to agree with the OP.

ROTFL, I was optimistic about this entire event( I think ). Until it actually started rolling out, now it’s like the patches. One step forward two steps back. Anet, are you making this up as you go along? Thought there may be a chance at getting some cool armor or weapon to remember the event by( No, the horns don’t count, lol) Halloween went from the hopes for 1lb Hershey bars to actually getting a single circus peanut though. IMO Oh well, at least there’s still the community and jokes at LA. Enjoy here while you’re here, cause there’s no here there.
