Choosing not to do it is part of playing how you want to play.
You already have several options to complete your daily without doing certain other parts. All 3 types lead to the “Daily completion” by just doing 3 of the 12 options. You can go to EotM and knock out some WvW dailys, or do a round of PvP. None of these things are difficult for you to do, you simply don’t want to do it, which is not their problem.
You have to actually take part in content that is in the game or miss some rewards that clearly are not as important as your distaste for fractals. Oh woe is you.
Not like they are asking you to do something crazy like participate in 4 events on a random map or something.
Working for a reward, who’d have thought. Next you’ll want something for just logging in…
I ended up with this issue last night. I got on top of the log and there were only 4 baubles there, but there was also a checkpoint there as if I was doing Tribulation mode. Thing is this checkpoint was being really glitchy and repeatedly overlapping animations. Also, I noticed that all the rainbow clouds were showing rainbow paths…. but the paths were going to incorrect locations and were not walkable. Touching the clouds made the correct paths appear. I was on infantile btw.
Really can’t see what the problem people are having with this. Granted, I didn’t play the first go around so I guess I wasn’t spoiled by the supposedly higher amount of baubles that were obtainable. Even just going one run through world 1 seems to give about 250 for like 40 minutes. If you don’t like participating in the event then why waste your time?
This is defiantly depressing. Just because they announced ascended level armor previously doesn’t mean it should sound appealing now, it is not. Basically this will end up being a mechanic to weed out casuals since it will be literally impossible for them to obtain this gear. Considering the ascended trinkets are about a 10% stat boost from the exotic version, it’s safe to say the armor will be similar. This does not seem like a positive addition to the game in any way in its current form.
What would you propose as an alternative to the 2 person kick system? Sounds like in your case even a 4 person system wouldn’t have helped you. What better option is there? I don’t want to be stuck 4 manning a dungeon because someone goes afk or logs out or simply decides not to be useful. Your best option is to run with friends or find a guild that will help you. I know how difficult it is to find both of those since I end up pugging 90% of the time myself, but otherwise this is something that you will always be taking a chance with.
Obviously kegs store beer and should thus be removed from the game. As should this mini-game because everyone who plays is about to be consumed with the overwhelming urge of going out to drink their life away. All the mugs should be removed too and replaced with Disney kiddy cups.
Seriously, Anet uses RNG for 90% of everything they do which is a form of gambling. People drink every day every where. This game is filled to the brim with all sorts of corruption, stealing, laziness and what ever vices you could imagine. Please leave political correctness out of the fantasy world, it should not exist here, nor should it at all.
Can’t see any reason not to help other people get their titles, at least not one that makes any sense. Thank you to all the people helping out others get their titles and points. If you don’t feel like helping out that’s your choice. Don’t really see how it makes you a better person by showing other people up in a mini-game but so be it.
Melandru Temple + 130 MF = about 7 fortunes each time it’s up. MF does seem to help quite a bit.
It’s more fun to compete knowing everyone already got their first. I don’t like to stress over an achievement like this and I don’t want to be the cause of someone elses anxiety for it. Even if the rewards were better for higher place, I’d feel better about it knowing everyone got their achieve already.
Really don’t see the issue here. It’s not fun when you’re stressing to get 1st for the achievement. If everyone already has it than it is considerably more fun since you dont have to worry about it at all.
It isn’t fun. It is less fun to get very little/nothing for it.
Kinda have to agree, killing tons of trash mobs to get to a node is not fun in the slightest. I did see a website that had the maps marked with the locations of ori, but due to the frequency of it moving it didn’t last long. Would be nice to possibly get an interactive map where you could just pop the icons in there every time it moves.
I have very limited time to actually play GW, maybe about 5 hours intermittently due to work/baby whatever. So when I play I don’t want to waste an exceptional amount of time trying to do something. Dungeons already take a ridiculous amount of time while skipping as much as possible. It feels extremely punishing. The above posters suggestion might be a good idea, but the chance of dropping would have to be enough to make it noticeable for anyone to care. I still personally would rather just skip them though.
I feel it is fine as it is. It really isn’t all that hard to fight off a few monsters so you can take a look at your surroundings to figure out what you need to do. If you don’t want drops that aren’t relevant don’t wait till your after you rushed to 80 to start exploring. If you can’t be bothered, don’t.
It is also of your opinion that you are being forced to do anything in this game. You have several options to continue to gain exp; participate in more area events, gather items, go to other races low level areas and explore, craft, PvP, WvW, or for the truely far fetched go to the higher level areas anyway and find groups of people doing events in that area until you can do it alone. At no point are you forced into anything. I play about 6 hours a day since early access and I am 65 currently.
