I can only imagine how much of a broken record this is going be (in terms of what I’m going to say), but I’m bored with WvW.

There’s no reason to defend anything, and WvW has has devolved into an all-offense, karma-train with little to no incentive to defend anything. I don’t know how adding a new WvW map (as nice as it looks) will change the underlining problem of people using WvW as a way to get karma and loot in the easiest, brain-dead way possible.

Whenever group fights for forts or structures happen to break out, it makes me happy. I feel a sense of battle and excitement for this; all that, despite knowing taking one fort in WvW really doesn’t amount to much since it’ll flip back in a few minutes anyways.

I love PvE, I love sPVP, and I love WvW too. I play all of them and not just one mode. With that being said, WvW needs an overhaul in some way.

Buying HoT pre-sale guarentees us a place in beta weekends. This is neither a beta (it’s a stress test), nor a weekend (it’s a thursday).

That’s their problem then.

They just said that all the versions (including the standard version) will include a character slot.

Ok, so let me get this straight.
The expansion itself is just $50. The core game is just there for new players and it’s free.

So I’m being asked to pay $50 for an expansion, while a new player gets a whole new game and the expansion for the same price.

Something seems really off about this.

Probably a $10-20 expansion as an upgrade. They’ve only released the info for new account packages.

I wish that was the case and not what they’re showing in game in the gem store as well.
In the gem store is says it’s core game + HoT for $50.

I don’t want to pay for the base game, I already own it.

Well since you can’t craft ascended rings and trinkets probably get that first, then ascended ring salvaging. Not a grand solution but something.

I had the same problem with Fractals too. Whenever I did 20+/30+ all I’d get was just infused Seals of the Khan-Ur.

This is literally me at the moment.

It feels like that’s all I get out of WvW/sPVP.
So far I have 3 of one ring, 2 of two others, and a whole bunch of others with different stat combinations.

All they’re doing is “collecting dust” in my bank and there’s not much to do with them I think. Maybe it’s just a small thing, it could just be very bad luck on my RNG as well (I’m willing to take that as a reason), but this is getting to a point where I might just start deleting my rings.

I shut down thieves on my my medi-guardian a lot.

Thief is definitely not OP.

Found a way around it!
Guest into another Server. I was able to do that log into all my toons and then park them in different locations. Once you get them out of whatever area they are stuck in you can go back to your server and log in like normal or just continue guesting of course.

Sending a refresh signal just means that they send a signal to your modem to tell it to pay attention again. It’s one of the few things that ISP tech support have in their scripts to do. They are very rarely going to actually help resolve a problem.

In this case, the problem is not with your modem. It is with a datacenter somewhere in Texas that is along the path of lines connecting Comcast’s MA network to the ANet servers. It isn’t necessarily even run by Comcast. We just have to wait until whoever it is gets their equipment working properly.

Bear in mind that this may get very frustrating, as it’s not something that ANet can fix, and it may not be something that Comcast can fix, either. It could be taken care of tonight, or we could all be waiting days.

If this is the case, then fair enough; stuff happens. At least I can play Guild Wars 1 and my other games for the time being.

Ok, I just tried to go to Divinity’s Reach on my Guardian and I was able to get in just fine.
Now that I logged and tried to get back on my Guardian (since it’s in Divinity’s Reach), I get this error pictured here (just like on my other characters stuck there).

I’m getting a Network Error (Code=5:11:3:159:101) when connecting. It seems that the ones I cannot connect with are in Divinity’s Reach, but for whatever reason, I can log onto my Guardian who’s located in the Heart of the Mist.

Can I get some help?

Well, I had high hopes for Stronghold, but seeing as it’s just another sPVP 5v5 mode I’m not even mad; just disappointed.

It should be it’s own separate mode and not lumped together like it’s being dulled out.

This makes me not want to play sPVP really because of how cluttered and nonsensical it is now with all these different objectives.

I want to love this game. I really do. But they’re making it REALLY difficult as of late.

What’s the point of doing content, be it new or not, if there’s no incentive (read: rewards of any kind) for doing so? I don’t expect precursors, but come on… the pavilion mobs should at least drop SOMEthing.

And yes, the QD train got nerfed (deserved, IMO), but they’ve also nerfed EVERY OTHER FARMING AREA everywhere, ever. Except EoTM, and I expect that to get hammered too in the near future.

I’ve been here since beta, and I usually defend Anet…..but not this time.

As others have said, we play MMOs to feel rewarded for our time.

It’s sad that the most rewarding part of tonight’s update was when I logged out.

At least you can still make some money from Cursed Shore. If they nerf that too them I’m officially done.

Here’s what I don’t get.

You need to give money in order to start the pavilion event to do the bosses.

Now I wouldn’t mind that when one out of the seven times I’ve tried it there weren’t enough people to even do the event as a whole to get any form of return on the investment I made to start the event.

I’m actually losing money doing the pavilion. It’s the most kitten -backwards thing I’ve seen so far. I rather just stick to being the Curse Shore and avoid the Pavilion altogether since I get more gold out of it then this event.

Last years Pavilion was 1000x better than what’s going on now. Once I get my Slickpack I’m not touching this update.

I’m probably not the only person who does this, but I love playing
games and hearing a different language from one that I normally speak.

It gives more of a feel this place that I’m interacting in is foreign
and adds a bit of mystery; which is amazing. Hopefully if more regions get access
to GW2, maybe there will be more audio options to choose from.

Also, great work on the French voice acting.

Do you any of you do this? What language do you use?

To be fair, the weapon skins that get put up eventually are sell-able on the TP anyway.

This style of dungeon would actually be the 2nd after they introduced Tower of Nightmares. Since it was a large instanced zone ’n all. But agree, I enjoy this style much more.

It was also a nice surprise to get the monthly done so quickly after noticing these runs/raids counted towards dungeon completion.

Oh if they made more content like Tower of Nighmares I’d be set; that was one of my top LSs they came out with.

Conditions only really seem viable in WvW and sPVP (they work wonders there), PVE not so much.

I will say though, I have a guildy who runs full Dire on his necro and he says it’s the best decision he ever made. Me and him did a hell of a lot of fractals and all he could talk about was how much condition damage he did.

To each their own I suppose.

Honestly it’s only really a zergfest because people like to follow commander tags.
I’d blame the people’s “moth-drawn-to-light” mentality for the blue dorito than anything else.

And honestly I like open world content like this.

Just got 100% today….and nothing.

A little help would be nice.

I like the idea of both items, I just wish they’d both have more of a noticeable glow effect.
