Most 100 CM’s involve a necro, don’t know what the kitten you’re talking about.

For full awareness, speed clear groups—like the guild that made the guides—use 2x Elementalists as their DPS classes in 100CM for much higher overall damage and utility than a Necromancer offers. The PUG safe-strategies typically vary wildly from the optimal speed clear strategies (See: Deimos).

And? How many of the runs done by the public involve speed clears, and particularly successful ones?

Necromancer has never been bad in fractals. My condi revenant is not an ele in CM100, but we clear it every time with ease just the same.

People are being utterly ridiculous about class comps in this game.

This is not WoW mythic let alone FFXIV Savage, much less Wildstar raiding level of difficulty.

The raids are cleared the day they come out. The tuning is super relaxed on the encounters.

When people are being class kittens, they’re being idiots for no reason whatsoever.

We’re not talking people running DPS builds in minstrel. Any class will meet the necessary checks with a set of berzerkers or viper.

If anything, fractal CM’s are much more reliant on having a druid and PS warrior more than anything else.

There’s absolutely no reason to turn down any DPS spec in fractals outside imporper gearing/traits.

That’s the funny thing about this game. It has the easiest PvE content in the genre, being far, far easier/simpler than WoW’s Mythics or XIV’s Savage/Ultimate raids, yet it has probably the most hardcore “REEEE MY META” adherents I’ve ever seen.

Don’t get me wrong, Necromancer has things wrong with it that I would love to see fixed. But unless you’re going for a world first clear or a record-breaking speed run, you could bring 10 headless chickens and still clear raids/fractals/etc in this game.

There was a meta for dungeons before Hot lol? I was doing them on a daily basis on lfg and never noticed a meta for ez mode dungeons, as long as people were full Zerk geared everything went smoothly.

I remember there was the 4 war 1 mes grps for cof p1 farming back in the 1st yr of the game but after that it did not matter as long as everyone is geared and not newbs.

There will always be a meta, no matter how easy the content is. I mean look at raids. Our raids are SIGNIFICANTLY easier than WoW, FFXI, FFXIV, EQ, EQ2, etc, raids, but we still have a meta.

People just like to be efficient is all.

Every profession’s strength in GW2 is a rollercoaster of ups and downs. I sure hope you were exaggerating about deleting it, or were only like level 10.

I love seeing enemies die by fire. I’m really disappointed, as I’m playing a Warrior now and so don’t get that fun I used too on Elementalist.

Because I enjoy “HULK SMASH” style classes.

Not glass cannons mind you. Those are “HULK FIRE FROM AFAR AND RUN AWAY.” I like to get in on the action.

Ascended Gear Needs to be standardized

At last make the rings and stuff from fractals sellable on the marketplace. That would help. I got rings coming out of my ears. lol

No. No. No. The entire point of Ascended gear is to have gear that you CAN’T just purchase from the TP. There needs to be a “carrot on a stick” for players, or players will just get done and leave (like many already have). Additionally, making Ascended gear purchasable makes craftable Exotic gear worthless. Why buy what isn’t the best?

If anything, Ascended items need to be salvagable. Give us ectos and a chance at globs/shards/whatever. Then we can salvage what we don’t need.

While i feel your pain and have been there many times, (one time the poor guy didnt know what he was signing up for, and kept trying to relog to get out) was so funny, i dont think punishing players is the way forward, it would be much easier just to fill the slot with the next person to join.

Yes its not ideal(maybe theres a better system), but it may be the first time someone has tried tpvp, and its better in the long run not to alienate them through ristriction.

There needs to be punishment, or people won’t care. Restricting people for 15-30 minutes or whatnot is perfectly fine. If you don’t have the time to play a tournament, don’t join. And if something happens IRL that forces you off, then just take a break for a few minutes. kitten happens.

I’m sure I’m not the only person who hates joining a game that’s completely one-sided. You’d think the game would balance teams so that one person joins red, one person joins blue, etc, but no. I get stuck in games with just me and a bunch of people on the other side. Or, just as bad, I get into a game that’s 1v1. Wheee. And autobalance sucks. It’s not fun getting launched into the losing team by 300 points simply because the game can’t sort people properly.

Here’s my solution. Just like WoW or any other game in the world, put in a 1-2 minute window between when the first person joins and when the game starts. Not this 10 second crap. Some actual time for people to join, get organized, get sorted PROPERLY (so it’s not 1v5), and THEN start. Autobalance the game during those 1-2 minutes, not DURING the game (unless there’s a huge amount of people who leave or join).

Not getting points for defending is absolute bullkitten. It’s absolutely ridiculous when I’m able to hold down a point and kill, say, 5 people who come and try to steal it, and yet get last place on points because other people on the team were fighting in the MIDDLE, not even on a node.

Fighting in mid should not be worth ANY bonus points.
Fighting on an enemy node or your own node should give everyone on the node points.
Capturing or stopping a capture should give everyone on the node points.
Standing on a node should give everyone on the node points every few seconds.
Win bonus shouldn’t even be part of the game. It encourages giving up if things are going poorly.

I don’t even get why we need colored teams. Other esports do just fine without plastering two colors over the members.
