you are not buying the game twice……the expension price is 50$ but for someone who dont have the core game aleady they get it for free as a bonus.its a way to attract new comer.this game have no sub fee and have been out for what,2-3 year already?a sub fee game would have cost you like 5-6 time more then this game so far. this expension is a bit more expensive then other game like ff14 or wow because those game have a sub fee….expension is the way to make $ for buy to play game and it still end up dirt cheap compared to most hight quality mmorpg (sub fee)

50$ is not much when you look at SUB fee game…..a 15$/month game=180$ a year….this game have been out for what,2-3 years?we just bought the core game and that it. buy to play game need to make $ somewhere and that why they sell expension higther. some game like ff14,wow might sell expension way cheaper but they have a sub fee so you cant compare the price with those sub game
yes they also make money from gems sell but that free to the player to buy them….if you never bought any gems, the game end up really cheap.
between we dont pay for the core game twice like some think……the expension itself is 50$ but if you dont have the core game,you have it for free,its a bonus for new comer.

here my little asura warrior.i havent played it for a long time and dont remember where all the skin come from but its a mixte of arah and COF mostly. i really love is look atm but im leveling a new warrior (human this time) so i only have this one to show for now.
well it might not be optimal but it might be viable.we need to see first how hight the condition will be buff with full condi gear.vuln will also make the dmg higther.if the dmg is hight enought, it could be similar on trash and mabey higther dmg on boss.
well thx for your opinion.i will lvl and gear as a condi.i got another war fully gear in exotic anyway so i can always switch on him.
i got another question also.what is the best class for condition dmg?is warrior a good class to stack bleeding really fast or a class like necro is far more superior?warrior also have burning with longbow and still do some dmg outside of condition but does it stack 25+ bleeding quickly?
so, im back from a long break of gw2 and im lvling a new warrior atm.with the upcoming change to condition dammage, im wondering if i start to learn and build my warrior as a condition (s/s+LB) or im just wasting my time and should stay zerk…. i was lvling and planing to use the tapdatmouse GS+hammer build but after trying it while lvling, i didnt liked the playstyle…..if im playing zerk il probably go GS+axe/sheild in wvw and the classic GS+axe/mace in pve.
im currently lvl 38 so the patch might be there when il finish lvling and getting my gear.i did the switch last night and so far codition seem pretty good for solo leveling and the playstyle seem fun.its a bit to early to know if the change to condi will finaly make those build viable for pve (it is for pvp atleast) but im just wondering if you think its a time waste and i should just stick with zerk?
you dont get that at lvl 1.you unlock it at a certain lvl.dont remember what lvl but something about 10-15 i think
ok,thanks a lot for your feedback thenormalperson.i will probably start out with a zerk set and go deep in defence trait(like sube dai mentioned) and when i will get a decent setup,il build a more defencive set to test it.zerk is still a must have for some situation so i will always need one and it might be good to learn with a squishy set,like that,if i dont master my toon,il die

my first character was an asura war.asura have the best animation BY FAR but…i dont like that armor and weapon are smaller.
norn,male are way to big for ranger,look weird
sylvari, they look weird imo.some armor are awsome but overall,not so sure about this class.
charr, i hate charr.they remind me of a big fat cow like taurent wow class and i dont really like the overall look of their gear.
human,well its nothing exceptional but they usualy look fine.female look better in medium armor but i dont like rolling female…..same for norn,female look awsome but i prefer male (character look :P)

i see everyone talking about zerk ranger.is it the only viable armor right now or there other option?
when i played at launch,i was a war and i always hated the GS full zerk build that everyone was using because it was considered cheated and only badi was using that setup and the fact that you was getting killed so quick wasnt what i liked.i was using half knight,half zerk and was playing 2h hammer A/M with a defencive setup and i was enjoying so much more.my dmg was fine,my survavibility was pretty good and i had good controle with hammer,mace.im loking to do something similar with ranger.decent dmg,decent survavibility and have a more fun gameplay then just burst from far.is it possible or i should just choose another class more suited for that gameplay?
in dungeon, zerk is probably the way to go because dps is the only thing that count but,for spvp,WvW,is it possible to be more tanky and not burst everyone with LB 2 like a badi?i would like to play more hybride and dmg with LB while going melee, and then have a good fight in melee.i dont want to only range but have fun and be more versatile again every class.going full zerk mean if you dont burst them down fast,your dead and no mistake is possible.i want to be able to take some hit and have half decent dmg and have good fight in melee.is it possible or full zerk,burst is the only way?
wich set would be the best for that?

i was away from this game for quite some time now and i decide to get back in since im bored of most game now
i decide to make a ranger but im not sure what race look the best with medium armor. from what i saw so far, sylvari or human look decent but im a bit scared of sylvari since most of their armor doesnt have much detail and look like a letuce….for the human, i would like to roll male but male armor seem to look quite bad compared to female.when i left the game,there was no gem armor and probably less armor set then now so i dont know how end-game set look like atm.
between i like flashy set that glow and look,angelic/demonic/futurist etc gw2 dont have much of those but i saw some set that looked quite flashy
can you help me choosing my race for a good looking ranger?thx
look closely at the skill description.they now say,it give full adrenaline so,no its not a bug,
it might look like a buff,well it is….but to get the max healing amount with that skill you need to be full adrenaline so,that mean you wont get any extra adrenaline.the full adrenaline is just a bonus if you dont use the max healing potential of this skill and use it when your adrenaline isnt full.
we got a stealth nerf also.shout was healing everyone in 600 range but now its only 5 players…
ok well i already decide.i have bloodlust on hammer,might on weapon swap on axe and fire on my mace.
im wondering is blood would be better then fire…..blood give 473 hp every 5sec and fire is a aoe that do around 900-1k every 5sec….dmg didnt seem that hight and not sure it really help that much.473 every sec that mean 946/10sec and abour 1900 every 20 sec.for a defencive war with shout,1900/20sec its like another shout so its really interesting.
do you think blood will be better?
ok so im a axe/mace with hammer build.
i use a really defencive build and i want to up my damage a little so i just bought a bloodlust sigils and i will buy the might on swap also.
my question is,should i put the bloodlust on another weapon in my bag,build up my 25 stack and switch back to my primary wep or just put it in my axe?
i was thinking,bloodlust my hammer,fire on my axe and might on weapon swap on my mace.like that i can build up my stack on my secondary weapon and when i switch back on my dps set,i gain my might buff and a extra aoe fire dmg (was thinking blood instead of fire since im heavy defencive and some extra healing might help but not sure if its enought to make a difference (473/5sec cd)

i was using a similar build in pve/WvW without those sigils so i tried ur way in spvp and its definitly a awsome build.really defencive build but still hit pretty hard,nice CC,condition remouval etc.lack a litle of mobility but still awsome.
now my question is,if i use this build in pve/dungeon/WvW,how should i setup my sigils because 2 bloodlust in pve is a waste.should i do something like,bloodlust on hammer,fire on axe,might on weapon swap on mace or mabey just get another weapon i keep in my bag with a bloodlust on it and when i reach 25 stack,switch back to my other wep?give me your suggestion about what you think would be the best setup plz
p.s:for the one wondering is this build work in pve/WvW/dungeon,yes its really nice.axe/mace for a decent dps and some burst with evisceration,hammer for big aoe crowd controle and get a bow/rifle for some boss and WvW.the dmg is fine but the defencive ability is awsome.its a tank build with OK dmg but if you want to do big number (glass canon) not a build for you.

i would like your suggestion about the best sigils setup for a axe/mace warrior.
im running shout build 10/0/20/30/10 knight armor berserker/knight accessory and power/vit/toughness weapon so overall i have a good amount of toughness (around 1950) and 24k4 hp but unbuff im sitting at 2k9 attack.
i was currently using blood(30% chance on crit to get some hp 3xx) on axe and fire on my mace,using fire on my hammer also.
i think i should remplace the sigils of blood for something else but im not sure for what…i was thinking about sigils of bloodlust since it would give me a good bonus to up my dmg and with my build,i rarely die.
between what you think about sigils of blood?im just not sure if its effective enought to worth keeping it over some other sigils that might help a lot more.

shoulkittenep my current build with the 10% crit dmg from axe or go back to 20 def for my hammer traits?im using my axe most of the time but losing 25% dmg on stunned and 20% cd reduction seem a big lose…20 in def also give me the healt regen on adrenaline and 100 toughness that would help me for my defensive stats lacking but im not sure if it worth the dmg lose of my main weapon set….
i also prefer knight armor.power/preci/toughness give you a nice dfence but also good offence stats.going power/toughness/vit isnt bad but losing the precision,your crit rate will be really really low especialy if you put 0 in arms traits.
you can use axe/sheild if you wanted to 100 blade/evisceration to burst someone really fast in WvW or pve and the sheild provide a good defence to go out after your combo if you are glass canon.
mace/sheild if you want a controle weapon set
sword/sheild for extra mobility
gun for ranged combat and when your utility skill is on cooldown.
you could still use other weapon set but those are probably the best choice.
my build is for pve/dungeon/WvW only,im not using that for spvp
for my weapon choice yes they are opposed.axe/mace is my dmg set (mace still provide my a aoe knowkdown to get some controle but also deal hight dmg) while i switch hammer if there to much mobs and i need to crowd controle them to help my grp and not die.like i said i dont want to be a full support or full dps or full tank,i want to do a little of everything.that why i go with a dps weapon set/a controle weapon set/shout for some support and a mixte of stats to be able to handle some hit but still be able to do some dmg.
for my preference between dmg/shout well i prefer the dmg.that why i didnt go with full cleric at first.so far the healing from shout i see it as a bonus to my build only.yes it heal and help me survive but all the shout give really nice bonus,i generate most of my adrenaline with them and also clear my condition.some would say it would be better to go with banner but after trying it….it was simply horrible….the healt regen didnt help at all and im losing my hight adenaline generation/remouve condition.the regen it give its like 170/sec and i dont see how could this be usefull.when im getting bursted by 10 monster or a boss that remouve half my hp in 1 hit….how a 170/sec will help me lol i cant wait 2 min to be full healt.
so overall,cleric gear is probably not what i should go for.better healing help but i dont want to hit like a wet noddle because of that.i think its my accessory that i could play with to balance a little my offence/defence but im a little afraid to switch my berserker for knight.if i keep my build/my weapon set/my knight armor set but change my berserker accessory for knight with ruby jewel,do you think it would be a good improvement for my defence without losing to much dmg?
ok so i would need some help to balance my stats.im a axe/mace with hammer war with shout build.im currently using 20/0/10/30/10 traits but im not sure if im switching back to 10/0/20/30/10 because right now im missing my hammer traits…still not sure if it worth it since my hammer is only for extra CC or really big pack of monster…anyway…for my gear i have full exotic knight armor with rune of soldiers,full exotic berserker accessory and my weapon are power/vit/toughness.
for my stats:
attack:3068
crit chance:31% and crit dmg 56% (i can have perma fury so my crit chance is 51%)
toughness:1609 with 2820 armor and 24 452 hp.
my dmg right now is decent but i feel like im lacking defence…i dont want to be a 100% tank but i still want to handle hits pretty well.i want your opinion about my stats if you thing i should keep them like that or what i could change to bring my def up a little.
i was thinking switch some/all my accessory for knight but keeping ruby jewel in them to not lose to much crit dmg but its still 17%crit dmg lost if i do that.i would gain a good amount of toughness but will lose some dmg.do you think it will make a good difference by doing that,enought to worth it or i just kitten myself even more?what about my armor set?as a shout build,would it be more benefict to just use cleric gear?what accessory to use if im going cleric armor and still want to do….some dmg?

using axe/mace and hammer with maximum shout synergie (remouve condition,heal,adrenaline)
im using full knight set/berserker accessory/power/vit/toughness weapon/full solider rune/sigil that give 30%chance on crit to steal hp(axe) 5% crit chance(mace) and aoe fire on crit (hammer).im always keeping a bow in my bag for WvW.
with that build i get decent dmg,perma fury and few stack of might,lot of remouve condition,decent def,lot of controle skill,hudge adrenaline regeneration and i can switch easily weapon by just swiching few trait without the need to reset them (longbow range/warhorn cd reduction/sheild trait/mace trait etc)
its a pve/dungeon/WvW build only.im not using this in spvp
p.s:i currently think about doing some modification to it but im not sure.was thinking droping defence to 10 and put 10 in stregth to get the trait that increase axe crit dmg by 10% but i would lose the hammer trait….
