The only thing that I would add is that we only run one ‘scheduled’ WvW night per week, so if you’re particularly looking for a guild who do lots of WvW, we might not be for you. On the other hand, you’re obviously always welcome to play WvW on other nights and there are often people online who’d be happy to join in if you ask in chat.

Generally the guild is English speaking but we have members from a number of nationalities and it’s not necessarily a problem if your spoken English is a bit rusty

The only thing to point out is that we’re very much a PvX guild, so we run guild nights for a variety of events and currently there’s only one scheduled WvW event per week (of course, that doesn’t mean that you can’t round up some people to do it on other nights though!). We also have a scheduled PvP night and currently have a private guild PvP arena. Generally our members are 18+ (some are quite a bit +!) so we match up there.

We place an emphasis on members being friendly and helpful, and the only ‘requirement’ is that you make an account on our forums as we use it to coordinate the guild calendar and post notices. The majority of our members are 18+ (a few are quite a lot ‘+’ lol) and guild events typically start from 7pm or 8pm BST.

However (as is the way of things) a sizeable percentage of those are perma-afk (and in fact we’re actively pruning it at the mo), so the number of ‘regulars’ is probably no more than 20 (10-15 or so is the usual number at guild events and the like) so hopefully we’re not too scary

As you say, we all know when the day/month ends, but it’s often not clear whether the LS will be a two-week only affair or a month-long one – a timer would clear that up straight away.

If I search this thread for the word ‘working’ I invariable get no results (when it clearly appears in at least one comment on the first page). Interestingly, if I search for ‘not’ I sometimes get 87 hits, occasionally 88, and then (after retyping it and searching a couple of times) 0 results.
If I search the entire forum for ‘working’ I get 4 hits, none of which are this thread.

It’s better than before (this time I actually get to a search page) but it’s clearly not completely functional.

I’m slightly puzzled why the search box is even still there. I have never, ever seen it search successfully and it would surely be better to remove it completely than have people expect it to work and be disappointed.

Or better yet, just have it link to the equivalent google search.

As a side note – is the IE version of the forum supposed to display in Courier? (I happened to notice it when seeing if FF was the reason for the search not working).

My home IP changes whenever my router resets – as a result I have quite a few saved “Authorized Networks” so I thought it was about time to go through and delete the ones that were no longer valid.

Unfortunately, after removing some of them, the page refreshed with the “Current Logins” and “Authorized Networks” tables not populated with anything, and after a couple more (manual) refreshes the page broke completely with the message:

I was only able to fix this by closing FF (which in my case also triggers a delete of all cookies, history and cache), then reopening and re-logging in. F5 and Ctrl-F5 did not help, nor did leaving it for a couple of minutes.

There were two cases that seemed to trigger it:
- When I (accidentally) removed the address that I was currently logged in (to the forums) from. I would add that there was no warning that I was about to remove the address that I was currently logged in from – that would probably be helpful as they’re listed by IP order rather than time order.
- When I (deliberately) removed certain other past address that I am certain that I am currently not logged in on.

I managed to remove about 3 IPs without the error happening, and another 3 or so triggered it, so about a 50% success rate without error (pretty poor)! Note that after closing, cache clearing and relogging, the IPs had at least been successfully removed, despite causing the page to break quite badly.

PS: This post is intended more as bug report than something looking for an immediate solution.

I’ve been mulling this too – I held off on buying a utility infusion before the recent MF patch changes, but as it turns out, they didn’t help with my decision at all (MF utility is still there). I think I’m leaning toward MF myself, because mob gold drops seem pretty paltry.

300% is cap only for MF from luck you can get more than 300% with infusion, food and boost.

Have you got a source for that?

I have no objection to the difficulty of the content – but I’m of the opinion that if it’s a raid-level boss, it should be in an on-demand raid instance.

I cannot stand having to wait upwards of an hour for the event to come around, only to be shoved into an overflow with a group of randoms, some of whom seem to have no idea what to do whatsoever, and insta-fail it. And I do not have time to waste nor the patience to sit in an overflow waiting to be ported to the main server just for a slightly improved chance of completing it.

The combination of the near-guaranteed fail regardless of your own contribution and more importantly, the wait for that to happen, have completely put me off even trying to do this event any more – it’s just tedious and disheartening.

Hi all,

I’m a moderately experienced player with a lvl 80 necro/75%+ world completion looking for a guild. Up until now I’ve been part of a small guild, but over time everyone’s gone inactive. So I’m looking to join a new guild, primarily for the social aspect – to have company for dungeons, events, living world content, guild missions and the odd bit of WvW.

What I look for in a guild:
- Friendly people!
- Based in, or a significant presence in Seafarer’s Rest.
- English speaking.
- A focus on PvE and WvW (or rather, not a PvP only guild; I’ve so far not touched any of the PvP content and am unlikely to do more than dabble in it when I do)
- Preferably not huge. It’d be nice to get to know the other guild members.

I’m a fairly dedicated gamer but I have a job etc. so generally play evenings and weekends only (GMT/BST).

Hi all,

I’m fairly new to GW2 (but a veteran of other MMOs) with a lvl 34 necro and I’m getting to the stage where I’d like to find some people to play with :) I’m on Seafarer’s Rest and generally prefer to focus on PvE with a bit of WvW.

I’d ideally like to find a UK/GMT based guild with friendly players of a similar level and focus. Not bothered if it’s large or small, as long as at least some of the players are active! I do own a microphone, though it’s not been used in a while, so no guarantees on that front.

I tend to play weekends and weekday evenings (~8-11pm GMT).
