Thanks But you see that still proves to my point. The Zealot armor is a pretty good set. And the fact that you have to buy all the pieces makes it even harder to obtain…..
Things like this is the reason why healing classes are in short supply and only keeps build diversity down.
It needs to be re-implemented…..
So I have trying to expirement with a high dmg life siphon (vampire) Necro build. Now I love my condition Necro, I really do. But I have been looking into running 2 sets, mostly for World event bosses, or dungeons or whatever.
Now to the point, I found a nice medium using dagger/dagger-Axe/Focus- 6/2/0/6/0- Full Zerker armor with eagle runes, and zealot trinkets.

The problem being that making Zealot armor seems to be the hardest set to make. watchwork sprockets don’t seem to be anywhere besides the Black Lion, And then you need 250 x5 to make the insignia. That is Crazy………. They need to re implement the sprockets back into the game somewhere just like all other T6 mats are readily available.
This doesn’t make any sense to me as the devs are supposed to be trying make the healing class useful……..
Any help or ideas?
OK so I for one LOVE LOVE LOVE, the new content… I think that after how STUPID Liadra was, Anet has leaned how to make difficult content fun and engaging without everyone just running Zerker and mobbing it……
For instance the ooze run in the new path of the dungeon….. Where is the design flaw there? Its actually pretty perfect, its fun, engaging, doesnt leave any profession or build out, and itsnt just hit as hard as you can till it falls over.
Slick and Sparki….Yes they are difficult but they make teamwork really shine as the only way to not die is to lead the oozes to the oil, as in you can just stay and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit till it falls over.
The Clockwork is also very teamwork only battle as you have to either make it move….or have people to pull the holos to it….. and constant reviving is a MUST in both battles meaning a healing build is becoming more important.
This is GREAT CONTENT, this along with the new TEQ proves that things can be done without the holy trinity and still be very fun and engaging. I don’t understand the complaints of bad content, or too hard……. Liadra was one thing with everything being instadeath but these new fights are awesome.

Three levels is nothing, why even complain… You still gain 10 lvls from maximizing your crafting to 500….so at the end of the year ,you can have a toon fully lvled from only crafting as long as you have the gold to do so…….. This is excellent because what is happening is now crafting will actually start being useful as less people use it as an easy ride to up lvl.
Necro has many ways to stop conditions on himself… Why does he need another? If you want to deal with getting rid of a cripple, drop putrid mak….stay where you are, wait for the attacker to trigger the mark, hit spectral walk and run outta there…..
Duuhmfire procs on crit…You have 19 percent crit chance….
So I understand that this game was made to be care bear friendly… and im totally fine with that… but this QQ really has got to stop…….. this game is hard…. but the fact that you can pay for an item that doesnt give you an advantage ANYWHERE in game is not a pay to win scenario because your not winning anything.

I find that the crystal throw is bugged as some times it doesnt activate after I hit 1 and click for the ground target, instead it makes me stand in one place for about a sec which in this unfair game means insta death.
Why is there a talk about challenging vs non challenging content here? It’s irrelevant, the Liadri fight isn’t challenging, it’s simply broken.
It’s challenging in the same way that rolling dice inside a burning ship during a storm (and having to get ten sixes in a row) is challenging.
Also, it relies on people not asking “what the hell am I doing with my life?”.
Dude this^^ I have also noticed that the necro animation frames it takes to get up take the exact same time as the a full aoe attack ie. 3 secs which makes that a totally unfair attack as due to the camera I didnt even know the rift was there in the first place….
I understand your complaint, and the point you are trying to make. But you are muddying it up with an unreasonable request. Maybe you shouldve stuck to the point.
Which is that people used Fine Transmutation Stones, which are almost exclusively gem bought (I certainly never got a Fine Stone from anything but the gemstore) to change the look on their gear. People did this believing that this gear would last them “forever”. Okay to drop a few $ on getting cool looking gear if that gear will last you, right?
But now that everything is switching over to Ascended this gear will in time be replaced. And if they want to adopt the similar look they have to spend gems again just to keep the same look you might very well have already payed for once.
Basicly ANet is selling you the same skins twice.
Why would anyone do this thinking that your armor would last FOREVER? that is a terriable idea…….imagine for the rest of the game life, there was never any new cooler armor skins? No new better weapons……You just stayed the same forever……. Everyone would quit….. there would be no reason to play…
Its kinda sad how people QQ about everything in this game, when this game is one of the better MMOs out there…..
How can anyone say this boss takes skill when everyone that has beaten her refers to playing enough times to see the “pattern” of aoes and orbs which apparently depend on the arena you choose…. As in no skill just alot of time and money to play over and over again…….
And bad design as in the fact that everything is INSTA-DEATH? That unless someone is doing the same arena you have to rez and run all the way back only to get killed and rez and run all the way back only to get killed etc.? The fact that challenging her has to be farmed…… The way that the game shoots in almost impossible difficulty without warning? The way that you have to turn down graphic settings just to fight her?
technical issues as in other bosses still being in the arena? Bosses using moves other boss use? Orbs exploding causing knock back? Meat still on the floor from previous fight giving some characters a dps boost just by luck? How about the terrible camera angle? the fact thakittens SO HARD to see the aoes sometimes? or that the floor hides one or two of them near the wall?
Look im all for difficulty in a fight, but honestly the first phase of her fight is extremely unfair and is only really capable to people with LONG extended periods of play, and the gold to back up to the tickets and armor repairs. Not to mention if you have a laggy internet connection then you might as well bugger off cause you have NO SHOT.
Why even try…She cant be beat…Ever… I spent 100 tokens and only got her to phase 2 twice…and then died before doing any damage…..So……. Why even try this kinda content?

I got another 21 tickets left over from the 60 I bought…gonna get on after work and try the new set up and farm the champs downstairs for the tickets also…… I really want that mini…..
I think its a little unfair how the gauntlet doesnt really have a good prgression of difficulty…. I only needed more that one ticket on two members before this chick…. CRAZY
ive had the boss pull me, and an orb explode bouncing me back and dealing no damage….
ascended is a tier below legendary….so wouldnt it be a downgrade?

I use signet of the locus, well of darkness, and spectral walk, with lich form……. I find that even with the orrian truffle and meat stew, I move too slow and am forced to sometime dodge twice out of an aoe..(which generally lands me into a cloe=instadeath) or if I manage to not die by clones or aoe the projectiles have take me out as I wait for clones to get to the 2nd light circle……… So I dont know what im doing wrong…..
So I have done her literally about 80 times and have never got her past phase one……..
Im using Nemisis’s hybrid build and I cant seem to not get hit by her projectile……..and stay out of AOE….And dodge clones…… and kill orbs……
The changes implemented are GREAT, they make it so I am forced to learn new ways to play my charter in multiple situations….. The addition of the wallet means that I can farm 3 paths on a dungeon and my alt has the tokens from it……..
ps. I also play at like 1 or 2 am on my sever so its kinda hard to group but not ridiculously so. …… Plating with Pugs is also pretty fun cause it means that I get to change my play style depending on my group as well as making new late night gaming friends and helping dungeon noobies learn the ropes…….I dont understand this QQ about how Anet has killed my game cause my friends dont wait for me. Seems completely selfish for a minority and not theover all well being of the game….
Truth of the matter is that farming tends to ruin games…… and this new implementation has pout an end to it… So I say 3 cheers to Anet doing something right…….hip hip HOORAY

Necro is definitely the best aoe char in the game, Epidemic alone is AMAZING for PVE content as it insta kill most reg and veteran mobs (if you have stacked your condis right). Necros also have the ability to switch from a condi build to a dps burst build for single target play ;just in case you have another condi on the team and only need to keep up 25 stacks. ((PS. Necros can get about 20 stacks of bleed on their own….) Plus using a hybrid build means on top of stacking bleeds poisons and burns, we stack a good amount of vulnerability that helps the whole team.
Even just outside of that, necros have fear to scare away bosses that are attacking a char trying to revive, and chill that can give a healer more time, stop a boss from slamming your “tank”, or sticking a boss in place ie. important in fractals, or shutting down thieves in pvp. And if you really wanna be team friendly… Signet of the undead generates life force (good for a burst dps build) and then will revive up tp 3 chars in an aoe….. They can condi transfer from allies to themselves and then send them at an enemy and keep them there.
Really a Necros main problem is the conditions build is a VERY POPULAR BUILD, …. rangers run it , engineers run it too, necros run it, and even thieves run it….. So finding a versatile build is on you…….as is being useful to a team….. I have never been insta kicked from a group for just being a necro….. I have however been kicked once after my party decided to go all zerg warriors of which I have non.

First off let me say that I have played a good bit of moos before, I played through wow, Aion, and SWOTR. However I never really took them seriously and was just a casual player, so some of the technical details elude me. I love this game and its the first I really want to play meta with.
First question, I heard that conditionmancers have two drawbacks,
1: You can only have 1600 condi dmg, and 2: a mob can only have 25 stacks of bleed. So does that mean you can only have 1600 worth of DoTs on a mob at a time? or you can only have 1600 condi dmg on your character (like what it says in the hero tab)? Cause from what I gather even with full spec in curses and full rampager gear my condi dmg will be at like 835? Did I just do the math wrong or what?
^^ That is important to my understanding of condi dmg vs. condi durration.
Another question I have is what exactly is “tooltip”. I keep hearing that there is something wrong with it, and that it has something to do with condition effects.
And plague form vs. lich form.
I dont understand plague form at all but I see alot of condimancers running it in PvE. So it ticks 1 time a second as poison? that doesnt really seem very threatening. Especially when lich form can cast fear and more marks.
By the way im going a 20/30/20/0 build. for the fear does damage and knockdowns etc causes fear.
