I absolutely agree with you on this point. It seems so silly to me that we are often stuck with 3 color slots.
I recently made the grand mistake of buying the aetherblade set for the skirt, only to realise that the entire skirt and the leggings underneath is colored with only 1 of the slots. The other two slots are used for the belt. What a dissappointment and a lousy job.

Nerf D/P to make D/D more viable… Lol… I’m sorry, but if that is not the dumbest I have heard in a while, I don’t know what it is. Don’t get me wrong, I love D/D and it’s definitely my preferred spec. I even quit back in the days when they destroyed it. So I feel your pain, but to nerf other specs is not (as others have already mentioned) not the best solution.
Focus on making things better, not worse (i.e. buff D/D).

Just came back to GW2 after a couple years off… Very disappointed that the old borderlands are gone.. What a shame.. New ones -> no comment…
I guess not ALL thieves know that the 4 sec. reveal don’t affect wvw. I feel greatly affected as a valkyrie/divinity D/D thief with 10/30/30/0/0.
Hard to tell yet if the decreased damage (due to less back stabs) is a big deal. To me, the destroyed rotation seems the hardest thing to cope with (Having revealed debuff stop in the middle of the auto attack cycle). It seems such a rushed solution that doesn’t benefit anything at all. After all, auto attack is pretty big in this game. I felt compelled to stack even more cnd’s than ever before which I guess, whas not the point of this patch.
I believe that changing the auto attack cycle with an extra attack could (maybe) solve the issue. I don’t know.
I don’t mind if some profession (class) seems very strong to other classes. I mean, most classes can be devastating to one another if played well, which the vast majority of the player base don’t do (Everybody believes they are better than average, it’s a scientific fact in most aspects of life which clearly also applies to gaming), but destroying a class rotation for some reason seems so weird to me and it makes me wonder if Anet actually test these changes themselves before releasing them into the public? I’m new to Anet, so I don’t know.
What I do know however, is that when such, to me, game breaking mechanics can be introduced just like that, it’s time for me to do something else. Guess I’m not a REAL gamer then
GL guys with your thiefs if you are willing to “adapt” as some of you like to call it. For me it’s over for now. I’m in it for the “rogue” play. Yes, the annoying play style that touches very human nature and tricks people into running scared screaming that rogues, thiefs, assassins or whatever are OP because they cannot cope with this style of play.
To me, well played guardians are the worst, easily surviving 3-5 man hitting him for extended periods of time. But also crazy, flying bunker elementalists or sneaky stealthing, dodging mesmers can be rather annoying too. Well played engineers can crush a thief as well. You win some you lose some no matter how good you are, thiefs too, I have also tried to have my kitten handed to me from time to time even by a warrior. There’s no “I win button” in this game, only good and bad/less good players. Which in my opinion is the way it should be.
It really seems to me that there are a lot of viable builds in this game (some classes have more options than others), but after the latest patch and in the current state, I feel that thiefs have at least one less option which is a shame.

•Stealth: The duration of Revealed has been increased to 4 seconds when coming out of stealth via an attack.
Well, there goes my S/D dungeon build. Right out the window. Thanks, guys!

It’s even more than that. I had a BRILLIANT melee pattern of stealth, daze, auto-chain, repeat, and I could stay at the front line of a fight for extended periods of time provided that I kept the momentum going. In this chain, Revealed would finish at the exact moment I hit C+D to restart the pattern. I felt rewarded for perfect execution. Now that’s out the window and I suppose it’s back to crummy S/P or D/D glass like they seem to want to pigeon-hole us in to. Venoms aren’t even worth mentioning at this point and Traps are total BOLLOCKS, this patch doing absolutely NOTHING to make them viable. But hey, we drop more Caltrops on dodge!
Because being able to repeat a chain without the enemy ever being able to hit or target you sounds fair.

I love the vast majority of thief players. Their sense of ‘fairness’ is just overwhelming.
I mean, full zerker and only being seen for 2-3s every 4-5s is just soooo BROKEN. I don’t know what everyone’s thinking…
Oh wait… pick and choose like the rest of us… maybe put some toughness/vitality in your build….
Lol.. “Grow up”. Punchy argument you have there. Obviously you don’t play thief, or you would have know that many thieves actually do have both a lot of extra vita and toughness…

Rewarded for perfection… That, to me, sounds like good reasoning. Rather than using the lowest possible common to “balance” things out.. I think it’s such a weak way of doing things.

The party we had at the south supply camp was really fun
A big thanks to all the PRXM/SOE/others people present. Too bad some 12-year olds from FSP`s Ragnarok of Primordus -RoP (or whatever their crappy guild is called) decided to randomly attack people. Jumping on their corpses after you guys killed them was fun thoI have been noticed about this thread from some from the Keen and the Dane guild and I see two guys from our guild have been here already and made a few comments on it.
It’s sad to see and hear some people from Far Shiverpeak is bad mouthing another guild on the same server. Just because some guys/girls have placed the duel spot behind a supply camp and some from our guild are attracted by the sound of battle?
To be honest I’m kind of against interrupting a duel, but how should some outside people know it is a duel? We are entering World vs World vs World-> Open Pvp/PvE area where killing another player from another server is allowed= Badges
Now that being said, why do you people choose to place a duel spot behind a supply camp? There is a lot of people running through that area and capping, just asking? Find another spot instead of near a supply camp..
we have continuesly said that this was a non combat area for fun.
it was the area at the mill where everyone holds their dual/parties all the time.
now if those particular people want to attack its their right to do so since its still a pvp area.
however, it also gives me the right to never play with anyone from that guild again since they have been complete kittens throughout the whole thing.
those particular 2 members have shamed your entire guild by this abysmal behavior and i assure you that im not the only one who thinks that.
i will badmouth guilds on my own server everyday when they act like 12 year old idiots.

I know they have crashed your party, but there are some particular members from a certain guild that should be ashamed of themselves for being that rude to go that far to say to a person that -> Lets say a particular person from Guild Y said; “Guild X” got very bad commanders and other not fun stuff to a person from “Guild X”.Anyways as one from Gunnar hold suggest, make a guesting on another server and celebrate the end of WvW there with dance party and such stuff. Unless you want to PvP-Duel in WvW and end up with the same stuff again.
Oh and btw instead of blacklist a whole guild? Why not contact an Officer or Leader of that guild and tell them the story instead we have to find out that some people are badmouthing our guild, through others?
:A little side note: I have heard that several people got reported for not so fine language down there during that little celebration event.

Honestly mate, you dont seem very different than the trolls that pollute your guild. There`s plenty of fighting to be had in so many other areas of the map, what they did was just plain trolling. If you endorse that, enjoy being ignored by most of the fsp`s wvw regulars. Next time a GH kills anyone from RoP i think i`ll stay back and relax untill the RoP scrub is dead and jump on their corpse. Trolling goes both ways.
If you know your members have the IQ of a doorknob try keeping them on a tighter leash.
Having a guild like yours on our server is a kitten shame and its going to take a kitten lot to change the minds of people that already “interacted” with members of RoP and DANE.

You get it all wrong. We don’t seek attention. We seek players to kill in the borderlands and you were at the wrong place at the wrong time.
It’s like standing on the highway… You might get hit or you might get lucky… You guys got hit.
And to the rest of you name calling individuals. Please, only the intelligent knows that the lesser intelligent man will not accept other meanings/actions than what his own mind can grasp as “reasonable”, “appropriate” or (insert your own word here). That should be enough.

Okay, I might risk spoiling the fun for myself in the future by telling you this.. But since you got so mad/sad, I’m going to show some compassion here.. Don’t place a box of fun next time you decide to hold a party. It shows on the map and it was the only reason we found the “party”. However, the box of fun was really fun…
Kesuh it was out of the way. You would not normally run that south of south camp at all…. There were no sounds of battle. No cross swords on the map since we were dancing along and just plain having fun.
Your people were repeatedly told by people on your own server who were taking part as to what was going on so even that excuse falls flat.
But in future we will invite people to guest on a server and we will just all hang out on a PVE map at the close of a match.

Yes, the party was SO much fun. So many ppl in WvW just standing there ready to get killed. It was awesome. I can Guarantee you that the 50+ kills I got in 20 mins. time was some of the most amusing experiences in a long time. Thank you all for having a party in the middle of WvW. Please do it again soon. I love you all.
P.S. good thing commander keegan didn’t gave the kill sooner… That would have ruined all the fun
