Wow the forum ate my huge long post. I’m not retyping that. Anyway, I’ll do the TLDR version.

In PVE warrior is not a low skill cap class anymore. Thats an outdated stereotype. To achieve great DPS a warrior needs to manage berserk, stick and move, and berserkers power while simultaneously having a good DPS rotation and not dying. The gap between a guy who just installed the game 3 weeks ago and copied the meta build and a pro warrior who manages all the conditional buffs is greater than 50%. A good warrior in an organized group with full buffs using the meta build could make 15k dps easily. A bad warrior who doesn’t manage his buffs properly will struggle to make 10k. I’d say that’s a good indication that there is a raised skill cap and there is a big reward for getting there, which is very good for the class.

Too bad anet still believes in and perpetuates this kitten stereotype

And too bad that anet don’t give a kitten to what we discussed in this topic, imo this is one of the important discussion about Warrior’s future pvp contact. the rotation of 2-3 years most stop and get to the next level with truly survival warrior contact…

I been in CD for a while and now back in HoD, I rarely see this guy roam unless he roams like at 3 am EST for 20 minutes or something which i dont know about.

Also before CD, I was in HoD and faced CD for months and I saw him once in wvw. He runs tanky(maybe he was experimenting?) I saw tap dat mouse more than him, lets leave it here lol

I roamed 12 hours(split into various time zones) a day when i was in HoD before CD and roamed in CD for various months except for EU time zone

He usually stream at weekends (2 years ago he use to stream daily), he have life, job ect and his build is more glassy then you think, Full zerker with superior rune of hoelbrak. he run the new meta Axe shield Gs like what he said on the video at the first post.
I hope that Devs will grow brain and instade giving Dps Contact will give more Survival Contacts.
Over all which class can deal with no ablitiy to blind, port, 24/7, and infinite dodge combine with damage?
lets give mesmers Casting time for each Shatter he do, Lets punish thiefs to get reveled when thier attack got blocked, lets reduce the Blocks that guard cando and rip off his blind and lets not talk about the DragonHunter with his ridicules damage 222 , and ect ect (I hope you understand what i mean)

This guy is Shinryuku (for who don’t know) he is a gw2 streamer for 3 years (no kidding) and his main class is warrior and he pvp alot if it’s in wvw or in pvp arenas.
One of his viewer asked “why warrior is hurting in PvP right now”
and this is his answer that I 100% agree with that.

So… Anet what are you going to do about that?

Hi,
For the last 3 days Gw2 start to lagging and crush, also i getting ridicules ping (1,135 ping).
I tried to reset my internet (including turn Off and On the internet’s main router in my house) and the game keep lagging and crushing (dc).
And there massage that keep spam on ingame:
“The game client was unable to connect to the log in server. Please Restart your Client and try again. If persists, contact Customer Support for….”
Sometime firewall mention there (Norton 360)
What should i do? idk how to fix client.

No. The only way to restore a character is to roll back the entire account, which is a 1 time thing under special circumstances.

A month ago i deleted my Ele (80s) to create an Engi (lvl 37 currently), afew weeks (2-3) after that i realized it was a huge mistake.
my question is:
There is anyway to restore a character that you deleted him in mistake?

for god says, everyone here are right, warriors got nerf alot and we don’t need nerf anymore and this really kitten me off when there are some none-brain the post in the forum “nerf warriors” “plz nerf warriors” that they didn’t play warriors for the intier game.
Healing signet- at last we got a good survivable think to stay at battle
Cleansing Ire- God bless the guy that think about it, at last we can deal with condition builds and not mealt down like oozs.
and for the last Dogged March- my favorite trait that help me from annoying stucks and also need for FrontLine zerg warrior (and PVE at fractal if you know what i mean)

In my opinion as player that play main warrior, the patch improve the survivable of warrior, At last we can stay on fight for 10 sac and more, and thiefs will stop to say “puff warrior another Candy to snack” and we can give some challenge now. I love this patch and I have no complian, devs improve the warrior’s survivability!!!

You make me to be a proud Charr Warrior, this patch made us to get in touch a little more with mace and this really good. I love it!!!!

I agree with the previous posters; you should forget about defense and just roll full zerker. There really is no need to have any PTV gear. If anything, it’s only going to kitten your DPS, while attracting more aggro.

As for the build, it really depends on your play style and your preferred weapons.
Currently I run Axe Shield/Longbow build with zerker on everything:

Traits:

30 – Restorative strength, Axe mastery, Berserker’s power
0
0
10 – Empowered Allies or Empowered (if there is another warrior with the former)
30 – Signet Mastery, Sharpened Axes, Heightened Focus

For utilities: Healing Surge (with restorative strength removes CC), FGJ/Banner (depending on the situation), Shake it off/Endure Pain (EP mostly as you rarely get stunned in fractals), Signet of Stamina (your condition remover), Signet of rage for elite

Your primary source of damage will be the axe. If you get aggro, switch to longbow for CC and kite around until it’s safe to go back in.
If you get into a hairy situation, activate Endure Pain (cool down reduction in the recent patch) to try and burst the enemy down, or use shield 5 to escape.

I’m on fractals lvl 42 and this build is perfect for my play style.

Running pvt in fractals is pointless unless you’re doing low levels and are too lazy to avoid damage. All pvt gear does is make you tankier while doing nothing to support your team and lowering your dps, which is why people want warriors in their party in the first place

If you want to be useful in fractals wear zerker gear and learn how to avoid damage, let the guardians or eles support

before the new patch i used the NightMare Build V2 (his trait build) and use Full PVT armor.
After the patch the build “died” and now I looking for a new one.
Notes:
1. I have Knight,PVT and zerker armor sets
2. I use only zerker gear (rings and more) and also zerker weapons.
I want build that help me to stay alive and i wanna to try somthing with hammer if there is a build.
The advices that you will give to me will help me and to the others that look for fractals build.

First thing I have to say: I don’t play wvw, so what I will telly ou only applies to PvE, dungeons and fractals to be exact, since that’s, what you want to do apparently. If you want to do both, you may have to get 2 sets.

Cleric gear is bad. Healing power scales bad and in dungeons most mobs hit slow, but hard. You can dodge pretty much everything and if you miss a dodge, you use your healing skill. There’s not much need for party heals. DPS is important. The loger a boss lives, the more chances you have to miss a dodge and get hit, so get everything down as fast as possible.

A good guardian does decend dps and good support at the same time. You most important trait is “Pure of Voice”, 30 points in honor. This makes your shouts remove conditions. also take the reduced cooldown for shouts (10 points trait in honor). Shouts are nice for support. You can grant useful boons to your party, including aegis and stability and remove conditions from your teammates.

Also get empowering might to grant might to your party everytime you crit. At this point you probably see, that getting high precision is a good idea.

If you’re running fractals, reflection skills are important, so put 10 points in virtues and take masterful consecrations and use “Wall of Reflection”.

Now you have a lot of support and still 30 points left. Why not increase your dps? Like mentioned above high dps is good. You want to increase you DPS?

If you have troubles surviving and/or don’t want dps here is a ore defensive option: put the 30 points in valor and get altruistic healing (applying boons to allies heals you). It will constantly heal yourself a lot, since you will always grant lots of might to your allies with the empowering might trait… if you have high precision!

If you want to increas your dps put the last 30 points into radiance, get “powerful blades” and “right hand strength” and use sword/focus (or shield if you prefer that).

Gear:
Well, you want precision, so berserker and knights gear are nice. If you took the defensive approach, either go full knights or take berserker trinkets, rest knights. If you have problems with low vitality, you can get 1 or 2 pieces soldier (P/V/T).
If you took the offensive approach you should lean more towards full berserker gear, obviously, because your dps will be higher with that.

If you really need to heal your allies, you dodge roll will heal, thanks to your points in Honor. Also you can equip staff and use empower. Also you have a shout, that grants protection and regeneration.

Weapons: If you have the build with righthand strength use sword for highest dps. Otherwise GS is nice for both dps and the pull. Hammer is probably quite close to GS dpas wise and has some nice CC skills as well. The other weapons are the same for both builds:
Staff for max support (use empower at the begining of the fight) and healing. Scepter is your ranged dps option. As fasr as offhands go focus is usually better, but shield can also be usefull in some situations. I don’t really use mace or torch.

I heard a lot about Cleric Armor combine with runes that have 15% Boon duration on each 2 parts of the armor (total 45%) and trait 0/0/20/30/20 . All that i heard from 1 of the Desolation’s guardian commander. weapons are PVT but he didn’t tell me his gear (rings and more)
This build is good for WvWvW and Pve especially Fractals?
If not plz share with me your expertise.

i love to use my adrenaline as a boost for my critical damage and chance instead using him as burst hit. like Nuorus I am using same weapons for more survive ability and feel like tanky dps. Also use another armor, Knight armor with rune of melandur :

for reduce condition and stun duration this really helpful to survive in fractal like shaman that the worms stun you less times. probably I am only doing lvl 38 fractals because my AR is only 35 and I need to gain infused zerker and clever (clever very help full). But if i can do fractal lvl 38 i think there is no problem that i will be able to do fractals lvl 40+!!
Notice: i have Ascended zerker and clever, and before boss i swap my clever to knight ring cuz it infused and the clever and zerker aren’t infused.

Here is the build I’m currently running with. It’s a very strong 1v1 build (although it’s stronger when you carry sword/dagger as your weapon swap). The build works great on small group scenarios. It had lots or initiative regen, stealth, blinds, gap closers, and decent damage output.

How to play: throw down black powder and heart seeker through it 3 times. Your traits will regen enough initiative during this time for you to be back to full and you can precast backstab and steal to your target for some big hits.

interesting, did you ever run this build on fractals?

I think the real task for Thiefs is Fractals lvl 20+, in my opinion they are harder then any other dungeons and top Pve thing. As warrior I was with some thiefs and it was fine. and good with the degear part.

I saw a lot of videos and I saw that a lot of ppl using D/P that base all the time on stealth, that build I looking for. also if there is build for D/D i will be happy to hear. also i want to use short bow as my 2nd weapon, in short i want build with more chance to survive in WvWvW and PVE. BTW which armor set is good for survive Knight or Valkyrie
The gear ( rings, back arrows, Accessory and Amulet) will be zerker cuz i want to do more damage.
