This makes it more optimal to immediately run forward and rotate the camera after a cast which is hardly convenient. Anet, when kiting, characters should resume full run speed immediately after each cast.

THIS! When you are in normal camera mode, you can run away from someone and cast ground targeting skills behind you while still running forward. (For skills that are instant cast, such as lava font or Dragon Tooth). However, in action camera mode, your character turns around and casts and slowly backs away.

This makes it very hard and disadvantageous in pvp.

I only have 1 account and I just submitted a ticket… Though I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing this…

Even under my Account settings is showing HOT as not purchase?!?!??!?! I cannot use any elites even though they are unlocked, and I cannot use mastery.

Character slot limit is now 67 because they raise it. Much more than 24. Before they raise it character slot limit was 64.

Why on earth would ANYONE need that many slots?! There are 8 professions. 1 slot per profession should be enough! And don’t go telling me it’s for “different builds”, because you can simply change the build on the existing profession as many times as you wish…. Seriously, I don’t get it. Lol.

From the Wiki, it states that Ranked arena matches have required rank 20 to participate. Are you sure you aren’t confusing them with Unranked and Custom matches?

I’ll check through notes though to see if it is one of them.

Edit: Actually, as of August 25th, Ranked arenas now require Rank 20 to participate. So you are correct that it is new. Here is the quote:

The problem is not with you specifically it’s with the servers. Seems they are not handling more players very well lol.

My personal record for how long I’ve stayed connected is 5 minutes. I am sure they are feeling pressure over at Anet to get it fixed so nows a good time to play that game you wanted to that one time. Or do that thing outside you wanted to.

Hi everyone,

My game is suddenly requiring that I be rank 20 in PVP in order to do Ranked PVP. It has never required this before.. Is this something new? I have PVPed many many times and it never required rank 20…. What’s going on?

Can someone help me please, I keep getting the same disconnect error where the game logs out to character screen ALL THE TIME! I cannot even do a story mission without this happening and then I have to start the story mission all over again. (See error screenshot attached)/

I googled around and found some suggestions but none of them worked.

- I added GW2.exe as an exception to my firewall.
- I forwarded ports 80, 443, 6112 and 6600.
- I added an exception to my antivirus (AVG) for the entire Guild Wars 2 directory.

NONE of those worked and this is getting really really annoying… I cannot do any long events or missions because it keeps disconnecting me every 5 – 15 mins.

We have been stuck with the same thin lined stubble or the full “Santa” for three years, yeah i know that the manga spikey hair and the emo vogue is rampant but for the love of all that is western please, PLEASE, give us some proper beards for human males. Not crazy twirls and swirls, a proper set of beards to choose from and that don’t look like they have been glued to our characters’ faces.
If you can spare a few hours of work, instead of the next set of “Butterfly supercute sparkly wings of doom”, give us beards.
Come on bearded brothers! JOIN this thread and bump it to the heavens! For facial hair! For glory!

Why do people feel the need to turn this into another non serious thread? Stop posting about getting things that will never be implemented, you detract from the seriousness of my request. This post is for people who want Anet to release more options for human males customization, or Norn for that matter, even if they already have a lot of beards. The website says that the HoT expansion includes the core game. Since I already own the core game, does that mean that I will get another serial code for another copy of the core game? I think it’s only fair that if new players get it, that I should get it too. I would like to give it to my friend as a gift to get him into Guild Wars 2.

The base game has been constantly on sale for like 10$ so tehy’d still pay less then you, you’re free tow ait till the expansion gets really cheap to pick it up if you think its too much.

Games get cheaper over time, if you don’t like that, you’re free to wait till a game is rly cheap before you pick it up.

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday, I was doing some dungeons with some guildies and then when I clicked the Leave Dungeon button (the little door), my game crashed at the loading screen. I didn’t think much of it and went to bed. Now, I am trying to log back in and every time I select a character (Regardless of which character I select), the game crashes at the loading screen.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while.. but it would be nice for the game to have an option to lock the camera behind the character and remove the “click-to-rotate” function. So that we can control the Camera without holding right-click. And then also add a cross-hair for ground-targetting and hide the cursor… basically a full-action combat system.

Awful idea? That’s the first thing I thought when I saw Quaggans, and heard them talk. They’re such an original race when AN could have just made “fish people”, and they’re adorable, and hilarious, yet with potential to be more than just cute sidekicks and background characters. Let’s just say they’re infinitely more interesting than a certain race of panda-people based on lame Chinese stereotypes in a certain game which certainly won’t be mentioned here.

They could also probably use modified Charr armor models because their postures and proportions might be close enough, which gets around one major problem with adding strange-looking (no offense Quaggans!) species as playables to MMOs in general.
