sorry, i find it hard to explain this in english words.
i am using the default aqua breather (with only 5 armor), while i am playing in a 45-55 area. you would say that i would instantly die underwater, but that is not the case.
i have no problems fighting the monsters you also see above water, like those that i mentioned. the only monsters i have issues with (that kill me in a instant) are those that are only seen underwater.
for example;
a lvl 48 Skale needs to hit me 9 times to kill me underwater
a lvl 48 jellyfish needs to hit me 3 times to kill me underwater. (did avoid their spin attack to test)
i suspect it is a mistake in programming. that those monsters that are ALSO seen
above water are doing [X] damige, depending on my armor.
while underwater monsters are doing [Y] damige, depending on the aqua breather.
i should just buy myself a auqa breather to save the hastle, but it was something i wanted to point out. (tho a moderator has moved to the help section)
i’ve heard jewel you can net some profit, but even then, the costs aren’t exactly low either, especially now with rising prices of ectos and other T6 mats.
jewelry gives a great profit, compared to other classes.
i’ve found a recepi to get a nice +6silver each item when i buy all the materials from TP.
about weaponsmith; it’ll be more time cosumming to sell for profit. not all professions use all the weapons after all. some perfer a greatsword, with others use a dagger. some rather smash around with the mace, others use the hammer. the demand is too wide to clearly see what is more asked for.
ofcourse it’s worth to keep leveling it up, if you use one of those weapons yourself. but is it really worth to waste all those valuable materials for a new weapon every 5 levels?
keep this in mind; you keep more money in your pockets by selling the materials and buying the weapon in TP.

i’ve noticed that my underwater experience isn’t more challeging 90% of the time while i am still using the starter’s one (with 5 armor). i say 90% of the time because some enemies do much more damige then others. maybe it’s a bug, or maybe i’m fighting them wrong.
the monsters i have no problem with are all those you also see above water.
think of Inquest, Skales, Drakes, Crabs, Krait, ect~

think of sharks, jellyfish and Barracuda
could it be that the aqua breather only aplies for those enemies that are ONLY seen underwater, while the other monsters are programmed as being above water?
the diffrence between them is pretty big. jellyfish for example nocks me down within 4 hits. (i am level 51)
i dont find it expensive at all. the price depends on your current level, but every time you level up, you will also be fighting stronger monsters and getting better loot.
i am currently level 48. the closest waypoint for me cost 68 copper.
a lvl46 (fine) weapon is sold for 63 copper. and i get loads of them
it is not like you need to save up money to use waypoints, right?

i’d say warrior. all you need to to is bash yourself into mellee range and go nuts. doesn’t matter what skill you use, as long as you hit something it counts.
this is the reason i stopped playing as warrior tho, it got me bored quickly.
i have noticed that the cultural-T3 armor is worn by all of the destiny’s edge members, depending on what sort; light-medium-heavy armor.
seeing that i was already aiming for ‘the emporor’ title, might be a fun thing to recreate destiny’s edge. now here is my problem;
what dye’s are used for those 5 characters armor?
Being forced to play zoomed out and view angled down means we’re missing out on most of the fantastic world design and pretty much staring at ground textures the entire time.
so true. it was untill a few days ago that i didn’t know the Grove was one giantic beautifull tree. i mean, seriously.. i’ve been missing out! from now on won’t skip vista’s anymore
the camera also needs to be fixed when you are in tight corners or tunnels, like in jumping puzzles. the jumping puzzle in LA (troll’s end) for example is so messed up that it’s frustrating to figue out where to go.
i have to /sign on this one.
i am not even level 80, havn’t done over 50% of the map and need to do a lot of dungeons before i even attempt getting Ascended gear.
but once i (finnaly) get to that point, users will be already asking for frac. levels over the hundreds, something i can never catch up to. if i am one of those few who still need to start at frac. level 1, while everyone else is far ahead, it will ruin my experience in the game.

seeing that the elementalist only has 1 weapon to use underwater, but 4 attunements, there is more diveristy then other professions. i am curious how you go along with this underwater. do you swap between attunements every now and then, or do you stick with one? is there a patern (combo) you follow or are it just randomly pressed buttons?
i myself have a hard time battling underwater, so i only keep it to water attunement for the big damige (skill 1, 2, 3 and 5).
So STOP complaining about elitism here .. cause thats how it is.
its not complaining, not at all. i just want to say my word on this, and i am also curious on other people’s oppinion on this topic.
this is how i experience it;
those who are not ’’elite’’ cannot enjoy the game fully, cause they are being overlooked by many others. it makes players like me feel left out in some part of the game. we have a hard time to both join and create a party. seeing how it goes now, it’ll only goes downwards from here. this just makes me wonder why.
the game itself already scales everyone to thesame level, yet people want the best of the best for their party or its a no go. i see the way players are being treated as a big hastle, not as something to enjoy. for both sides.
hey there forumers,
i have notices that the users are being more picky by the day when it comes to making groups or parties. especially for dungeons. i have been denied for it many times cause i am not level 80 (while the dungeon is for 35 and up). this is making me quite angry. i shoudnt have a hard time getting a party together or joining one, since i already have the required level.
but it’s getting worse; since the new ‘lost shores’ dungeon is released, all i see is people asking for level 80 with exotic armor. this makes me feel left out. i might not have the best of the best, but that doesn’t mean i’m worthless. thanks to this i will barely be able to do any dungeon untill i reached the end-game. they seem to forget that everyone is scaled up(or)down to thesame level
i am curious what your oppinion is on this. do you find it a good thing, a bad thing. are you overlooking users with lowers levels?
