From GW1. Got GW1 totally by accident from my cousin who didn’t like it that much.
It’s like male charr were chewing firecrackers when they were cubs.
I think female charr look lovely. That’s the main reason i didn’t make one. I have two charr, both male. I have a young warrior, eager to prove himself, and an older looking engi. You know, the “when i was your age…” type. Both badasses tho.
Dailies also direct traffic. When you have a “Ascalonian killer” or w/e achievement for example, there tend do be more people in Ascalon (even the 1-15 zones).
I have a Win8 laptop and it plays fine. It’s basicly Win7 with a useless start menu and faster boot time.
I think you have some talent there. I’d love to see more.
Charr don’t shed tears. Tears run away in fear. The picture above prooves that. The cat looks like it’s going to murder someone.
I googled “ttps” and came out with Trinidad and Tobago Police Service. The police are after your GW2 account!

From a performance and security standpoint it would be better to upgrade. The other thing is, MS stopped supporting that OS which means it won’t be getting any new updates.
Look at it as an investment. One time pay, and you’re good for 10 years :P
You’re still using Windows XP. Why OP, why?
Recently, I feel really big nostalgy about GW1. I am considering to go back and do more HOM points. Now I am at 31. Would some of you join me? It would more fun in a group
I tried… and i can’t… GW2 spoiled me
It’s called football because plays are measured in “downs” which describe the distance which your team must advance the ball within a specific number of plays. This distance is calculated in American standard measurements of Yards, Feet and Inches.
Hence, it’s called football because the point of the game is to move the ball a specific number of feet within a limited amount of attempts, or prevent the other team from doing so.
These always remind me of John Cleese:
If someone can force you to rage quit a video game, then you have some issues you need to solve ( Not directed to OP, but in general ). Especially in a game like GW2 where no one can steal your xp/nodes/kills/loot or w/e.
I had to wait in a queue for WvW last night so i really don’t know what everyone’s talking about. Maybe things are different on NA servers, i dunno..
It only effects people who play Charr. I don’t see how this would reflect poorly on any of my characters as I don’t play dogcatthingmen.
If a part of a game looks bad, the entire game looks bad. But if you make something available for only a part of your player base you’re alienating the other part. And you don’t want to do that.
Either it’s random or it’s not. On one side you get to deal with lady luck. Maybe you get what you’re looking for on your first try, maybe on your 100th, maybe never. On the other side you have dungeon gear style where you can calculate how many times you need to finish something to get what you want. So it’s not random, you know exactly how many tokens you get for each piece of content you finish.
But we already have that, in a way. The Trading Post. You can buy pretty much everything since someone already got what you want, and you can get a basic estimate on how much time and effort you have to put into grinding money. It’s more or less the same thing.
A better question would be is crapping on 80% of players worth keeping it fair for the 20% who chose a glorified man dog.
Sorry, I just really haven’t seen a good reason to not have capes in any game since DAoC. It’s a feature commonly overlooked that should of became standard.
It’s not “crapping on 80%”. If the problem is indeed massive clipping it reflects poorly on the entire game, not just people playing.
Oh, and Charr are feline, so it’s “glorified man cat”.
If by the time you scrape together 119 gold you still don’t have armor with stats you want, you’re doing something wrong :-P
Is it a skritt? Is it a dragon? NO, It’s Superman!
Not happy that forcing me to craft.. Which I do not enjoy…is part of the monthly. At least give us options to choose from like the new dailies
Maybe you don’t understand the definition of achievements. To achieve something does not necessarily mean doing what you enjoy.
What people ask for: more variety in achievements.
What people actually want: 1/1, You have successfully logged in. Daily complete!
So, for example, i’m thinking of switching my home world and don’t actually know anyone on other servers. I have no chance of checking out a server before investing quite a large amount of money for the transfer?
While i understand why you’re suggesting this, the solution you provided would be a bad one. You should discourage people from doing this, not outright forbid it.
- RL is subscription based.
- GMs are kittens.
- Too many cheaters.
- No karma vendors.
- Imba classes.
- Loot tables are not working.
- RNG is decided on character creation.
- Noone helps when you’re being attacked by bears.
+ Graphics are kinda ok.
Except for the tiredness and soreness…ugh exercise is the worst, I’m very confident of that.
If you’re feeling sore the next day it’s because you haven’t stretched your muscles before the exercise. Or you overdid it.
My suggestion would be to find a laptop with a dedicated graphics card. Both of these have Intel HD Graphics 4000, and i wouldn’t choose those for gaming.
Use map chat to ask if someone would like to do story mode with you. You don’t have to speak to them after that.
It’s a four part story. The first part ( still active now ) will end on the 26th of February. I’m guessing that you won’t be able to do it after that.
You can do it in the Norn starting zone.
Become a member of a fitness club ( or whatever they’re called ). Or take up any kind of physical activity, sport, anything. Not because you should get in shape or something, but because your body and mind will be grateful. You’ll start feeling better and more confident. And in turn other people will see you differently.
A good run around the park can do wonders, it doesn’t cost you anything and it takes an hour out of your day at most. But it’s a long term thing so don’t go once or twice and then quit. Find a “lap” and stick to it, push yourself and mark your results so you can check your progress.
And most importantly, when you’re feeling really really lazy and tired for anything because of the weather or whatever excuse you think of at the moment, that’s the perfect time to go for a run. If you don’t feel better after, i’ll give you my address so you can come and punch me in the face.
It’s that every time you run a dungeon, event, freggel with those 2 ( and i know there’s nothing they can do about it, i don’t blame them) you the partychat " exotic, lodestone, named exotic, 6gd exotic, cores etc etc. Others know in advance they don’t stand a chance..theywill get the drops.
Smells like trolls to me :P
“Guild Wars” is a lore thing predating the first game, before the charr invasion. It has nothing to do with our guilds being in war with each other.
Or maybe he is a psychiatrist in disguise who will judge the sanity of our minds based on the answers in this thread…

The simplest explanation is most likely the correct one.
OP is stoned.
I kid, i kiiiiid
You can’t really say that a RNG is broken, can you? If you have a large enough sample, weird things are bound to happen. It wouldn’t be random if everyone got the exact same stuff in the same amount of hours played.
You can transmute it to other items. And then those items to other items, and so on. (as far as i know)
How much are unidentified dyes being sold for at the moment? And could someone give me a rough price for Abyss? Thanx
Can i have your stuff?
It’s called a Monthly Achievement.
Achievement connotes final accomplishment of something noteworthy, after much effort and often in spite of obstacles and discouragements.

And to quote myself :P
The guild wars were a series of wars between three factions or guilds which were going on before the first game started. When the charr invaded the three factions stopped attacking each other and focused on the new threat.
And in that time you identified the guy as one of the 3 classes looking at the armor, i looked at his weapon and attacks and identified his class without caring what armor he was wearing. Or made an attack and looked and class icon after target bar appeared. Hell, he could have been naked and my method would still work. Yours wouldn’t.
Well of course it wouldn’t work. Not by itself. Just like your weapon and animation method doesn’t work until he actually attacks. Hell, even the icon isn’t reliable since it can still mean he’s one of many different builds. It doesn’t mean it’s not helpful tho.
What i’m trying to say is that it’s good to have more than one visual hint to get a sense of your surroundings in a chaotic place that is the battlefield, instead of relying only on one. If you can’t see that then i’m wasting my time.
It’s funny how a couple of months ago most forum posts were “Oh noes, i are 80 and have nothing to do”, and now everyone complains how they have to work to get something they want. Just an observation
So in a scenario where you have 3 enemies in front of you:
If you know what you’re doing, you click each and every one of them and then decide how to proceed,
If you are a moderate noob, you wait for each of them to make some kind of animation to know what exactly they are,
If you’re a massive noob you look at them and narrow your choice down based on armor they are wearing.
IMO, if you know what you’re doing you use every hint you have on your disposal.
Fail already, you cannot tell at a glance if someone is Thief or Ranger, and there is a world of difference in the two. Making an ancient argument that has never really applied except as a crutch for some "PvP’ players. I would hate to see people like this try to PvP on an EQ2 server, not knowing if that plate wearer was Templar, Inquisitor, Shadowknight, Berserker, Paladin or Guard. Honestly, animations, weapons, behavior tell you far more than any visual armor does in most games. You know.. that “skill” thing PvP’rs like to boast about.
You can tell at a glance that he’s one of 3 possible things. Still better than one out of eight.
You can try making a chat tab for whispers and such. It’s not an ideal solution but it can help.
Totally support the OP here, as it is really stupid not to be able to wear all kinds of armor. It limits the game, is one thing.
The other is: To all the people who QQ about “It would ruin the game if an ele wore heavy armor”- What? Is your fun in the game dependent on someone else’s armor? You better quit right away. Does it bother you so much that someone else wants to be a knight while still casting? Why don’t you find another group then? You’re not forced to gear your ele with heavy/medium armor. But what you are forced to is gearing your ele with light armor. Enjoy the restriction.
In a game that is PVP based you have to have some differentiation between classes. You cannot have light classes running in heavy gear. It has nothing to do with “forcing restriction” and devs being evil or whatever you are claiming. It has everything to do with you spotting someone from far and knowing how to approach them. Not just finding out when you’re already half down on health.
Good luck with that mate.
Um, once you and your party leaves, it’s over. Next time you get in the whole thing starts from the beginning.
Here lies Daeneth.
Died suddenly, just because her hair color didn’t feel exactly right.
Bugs are endless in this game.
In kessex hills where krait steal fisher people.. a male and a female who chat to each other are mixed up with voices the male is female and the female is male, kinda funny to speak to them actually..
They’re actually transvestites, their surgeon was lvl 400 in plastic surgery.
The guild wars were a series of wars between three factions or guilds which were going on before the first game started. When the charr invaded the three factions stopped attacking each other and focused on the new threat.
How else will we know if a meta event is up, Spend 2-3 silver going to the area to check every time we think it’s up? It’s not like the whole world lets you know when a dragon comes up.
It’s not supposed to let you know. It’s part of the design. Putting timers in is just a step back towards static quests. And it’s a dumb move since tons of people would just be jumping maps and ending up on overflows where there’s no event.
You can always ask people. I’m sure someone on your map has a guildie who’s currently on that map.
