Providing too many details is slightly ruining events for me

I’m very happy with this level of detail. For me it spoils it no more than going to some forums or a fansite to figure out on the day where the action is, which is what I was doing for other events. I’m able to see what I can do and where I have to go to do it. It gives me confidence that I’m able to see the whole event despite travelling halfway through the celebration period – which makes me very happy.
Good communication is the best way ArenaNet can manage their player’s expectations and prevent outrage and confusion which have troubled their previous events. I’d prefer spoilers to these outcomes and emotions.
Barracuda in frostgorge. There are several different types of bot operating there on my server. I briefly farmed on the weekend before the price started to collapse as it seemed worth my time. Now, not so much.
Can you transmute Krytan, Primeval, and Profane armor skins more than once?

If the button is greyed out check that you don’t have one or both items in an invisible bag. I encountered an issue the other day where the transmute button remained greyed out because of this but moving the item to a normal bag allowed the transmutation to occur.
I guess it is probably related – stuff I listed for sale last night has been sold, but I’ve not received the coin from the transaction.

Made a value judgment based on previous ‘one time event’ rewards and decided not to participate and spent time with family instead. I’m fine with this.
I heard the reward was a 20 slot bag and a chance to win GW2 lotto – I’m a little disappointed. Consistency of reward value or clearer communication would have prevented this.
Learning the next day a bug would have allowed me to get this ‘one time event’ reward after I thought my opportunity had passed annoys me some. That such a bug was abused to enormous profit for some annoys me greatly. Here’s to hoping for a smoother event execution next time – where the one time event is truly one-time or that there is some way in which everyone who wants a chance at such a reward piƱata can get it.
I was there when the southern reinforcements line broke last night on Sanctum of Rall. The pack marmox in an escort mission got just so far and then decided to go completely the wrong way and couldn’t be coerced back to the right way. I suspect it was that the marmox likes to get into the action too much and got lost on a sortie against the risen off his normal path. I doubt this failure had anything much to do with the number of players involved or the number of times the event had run.
The area is quite playable if you’re able to follow the events through. A bit annoying when it fails though.
I think that the event would be easier if the ember AoE didn’t knockdown as well as apply a large amount of damage. I feel the same way as the OP, I particularly hate how you’re penalized for attempting to revive people which in most group fights is really important to do.
Straits of Devastation is bugged on Sanctum of Rall. The south and, I think, the central routes have events which are stuck preventing anyone from progressing the area at all. The most frustratingly buggy area in the game.
No one can find the NPC for this skill point for Sanctum of Rall.

Story step where everything still seemed okay: “The Battle of Fort Trinity”
I was on the orb story with Apatia and took the “Willing Captives” choice. I was expecting an heroic rescue at some point but instead I’m telling the family of someone (Tonn) I’ve never met about the death of their loved one. :/
I have been playing with my husband(Character: Crancion, Human, Elementalist, 75, Priory) and he took that path through the story and we’ve been playing through the shared story steps together. At this point iirc; we followed his story with Tonn first, went to my story with Apacia, (the steps of these might have been interleaved a bit) . We then entered the battle step together with Crancion taking the lead. The battle for Fort Trinity mission bugged for us. After we got wiped out by zillions of risen spawning after the dock defense step, resetting to a checkpoint ended up with the army stuck in the fort, Trahearne somehow dead in front of a spawn of many endlessly respawning risen – we weren’t able to get to him to see if that would reset things. We restarted the mission, again with Crancion taking the lead. I died again in the post dock step, but respawned in the fort later as Crancion made it. The mission completed successfully and I accepted the progress of the story. As often happens in the shared instance the personal story info updates in the corner for the lead player, except this time when I leave the instance it isn’t updated to reflect my choice in the story.
Is this a permanent feature of my personal story now? My fear very real by truly abandoning my friend in a horrible situation unable to make good on my promise to rescue her. Or will I be able to eventually heroically rescue Apatia?

Not even at Orr and already hating fighting risen.
Might have to start a new character or hide out in the earlier zones…
On my world, when we’re fighting back from our overnight slump, it is borderlands which starts up first and starts its queue first in the afternoon. It is good to have a fight where we have something of a home terrain advantage to make up for the fact they usually outnumber us and are buffed from owning all of the orbs.
I’d be a bit annoyed if we got blocked from that while the opposition held our home and all of the advantage.
I’ve had this happen too – exactly that sound and same steps required to reset it. Once the sounds starts it is the only sound you get from the game. I have a dedicated sound card; highest quality and lowest latency settings. Happened twice in WvW once during a busy tower assault and another doing idle things in the citadel.
