Look forward to the march this year and see you all soon! I’m a bit confused on the time for Eastern Standard, please update. Hugz

To be honest, I myself get easily confused with time zones. So I just google “edt time now” It says for NA march starts 20:30 EDT, Google says it’s 12:30 EDT now, which means march starts in 8 hours.

Is this still happening? I don’t see any announcements in reddit.

There was one about a month ago https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/68rj3r/pride_march_tyria_2017/

Sorry, I may have said the wrong acronym, I meant Eastern Standard Time, which I believe is the name of the time zone for the East Coast of NA, which i think is also known as UTC-4(?). If I understand correctly, that’ll be pretty late for the first day but only halfway through for Sunday. I hope late attendees like me aren’t a problem.

It’s EDT then (or ET). Since the event start at 20:30 EDT, then you can catch up, I guess… o_o If only someone who organizes the event could clarify ^^’ because all I’m saying is my speculations
From the post “Saturday times: Brisban Wildlands 40 min, Kessex Hills 40 min, Gendarran Fields 30 min” sums up in ~2 hours means that in theory you can catch up at Gendarran Fields o_o I doubt that everyone will run off the moment the event ends, so you should be just in time for after-party

Will they be able to avoid aggro and getting one-shotted by high level mobs, especially since the route goes through Frostgorge Sound? Finally, how easy will it be to join the march late, since I don’t get off work until 22:00 EST?

I guess that if your friends will have you (higher level character) with them you can be their bodyguard – to prevent one-shotting

About joining at 22 EST: as I understood for EST (Europe) it will begin at 16:00 and be like 1,5~2 hours so I doubt the event will be on till 22 o_o But if you play on NA, that’s different then

Hello, everyone! I’d like to join the event, but I’m a fairly new player and I’m afraid that I’ll end up on another map. So my question is: how to make sure that I’ll be on the same map as everyone? Thanks!

afk farming everywhere

tbh, I don’t get all the hate towards farmers. Why not hate crafters as well? They spend lots of time leveling crafting skill, then farming mats, crafting something and then sell it o_o Farmers just gather and sell the mats. If they have the time to run around (or stand around) the nodes and wait for the them to re-spawn – why hate people for that? It’s their time! Why report people for doing boring grind? I doubt they enjoy it that much, but they don’t have the means to buy gems with real money, so they grind for gold.
When I see a farmer afk’ing who have been killed by random mob – I usually res them and go about my day.

Question about unlocking masteries

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I wouldn’t worry about unlocking gliding yet, play through LWS2. Torn from the Sky picks up where LWS2 ends, and gliding requires you to play HoT content to learn. So if you don’t want spoilers, just keep on with LWS2. HoT will be there when you get to it (and so will gliding).

Thanks for quick reply
I just wanted to unlock gliding a.s.a.p. because I like doing jumping puzzles and from what I’ve heard gliding helps a lot

Also, do my levels (after 80) still count even if masteries aren’t unlocked?

Question about unlocking masteries

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

aurensei.5283

Hey everyone!
Just got HoT and have a question about unlocking masteries. Thing is, I haven’t started Season 2 yet (just finished my Personal Story and read through the recap of events of Season 1). But to unlock masteries the mastery tab says I have to play through Torn from the Sky – in other words to start HoT. But! I don’t want any spoilers and I want to finish S2 first. On the other hand I want to unlock gliding. So, how do I do that? Can I start HoT, play through Torn from the Sky to unlock masteries and then start S2 and play trough it?

Just a quick question that’s been bothering me: I haven’t followed the news so didn’t get it, will Revenant class be avaliable to everyone after the launch of HoT or only for ones that’s purchased the expac?

wow, TheSwede, that’s awesome guides! Thank you so much! Now that I know this I’m choosing between thief and elementalist. And I probably will give thief a try, ’couse I already have a magic-class necro. Thanks again!

Choosing class for the newcomer

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: aurensei.5283

aurensei.5283

Hi everyone! I’m a bit newcomer (got GW2 for Christmas) and I am hesitant about picking class for the last fifth character slot. I’ve already experimented and picked ranger, necro, guardian and engeneer. So the question is to choose between elementalist, mesmer and thief (it was warrior or guardian so this class is out of the question). I’ve tried each but didn’t have so much fun I thought I’d have. In in-game chat I saw people saying thief is great on higher levels, is that so? And I’m not as good in melee, so does thief have good range weapon choice?
PS Sorry if my questions sound stupid, I’m new but learning fast
