What Eldrin is saying is that he doesn’t think that a tier of gear (Legendary armor) should be locked behind raids. Legendary weapons aren’t, so why should Legendary armor be?

i have tried rads once, and i dont care if legendary armor is locked behind them, if it had better stats then ascended armor then yes, that would be a problem. some stuff should stay exclusive just like in gw1. yes you are right about legendary weapons. and because of that everyone with a credit card has one. And eldrin did say that about pvp. average player should be rewarded as much as a skilled playe. Again i want to say i suck at pvp. but like before some stuff should be for people that work for it and that deserve them. u guy want to turn this game like american children sports? doesnt matter who wins or loses everyone gets a medal cause you are all winners yayyyyy!!

Guild wars 2 was never about excluding players and thats what made it such a great place to be.Im talking about legendary gear locked behind raids and pvp.were only the skilled can get them.I realy hope this game goes back to its old values.

are you saying that if u suck at pvp, u should be rewarded the same as a skilled player? gw2 is pretty much like in gw1, the game rly is for everyone, but there will always be stuff that the average player wont get.

rly dont know what OP means, HOT for me was and still is far from a failure, not perfect or course but no way near of a failure,

been playing for a bit more then 3 years. i still havent found this grind that is supose to exist in gw2 according to some people.

i wouldnt mind mounts but i didnt knew this game needed to be saved.

No to mounts. They are NOT IN GAME CURRENTLY. Also A.Net has stated there WAS NO PLANS TO PUT MOUNTS IN THE GAME. What don’t you understand about that?

Mounts are :

1. LORE BREAKING!!! Since there were no mounts in GW lore – how can you really justify them?

2. NOT NEEDED – there are waypoints. There are enough waypoints to get around faster than having a mount.

3. Mechanically and design-wise very hard to add in if there are no mounts in game.

4. NOT WANTED.

5. The game already has issues with slow downs when a large group is fighting (most World Boss fights end up at 10-12 fps and skills have hiccup use). Adding mounts would increase that problem with less people. I would like to run the game on anything other than low settings when in large groups.

6. Speed boosts are part of the balance in the skill system. You want a speed boost, well then you have to compromise what you will not have. This is a huge problem as putting in mounts with a speed boost would automatically negate many builds. Not all professions are supposed to have the speed boost – that is part of the balance equation in the game.

It is annoying that the pro-mount people have no other reason than, "I WANT THEM’. Until you logically argue how mounts WON’T impact the above points, there is no reason to discuss the subject at all. Saying ‘I want them’ is NOT REASON ENOUGH.

lore is made up they can make up something up too to introduce mounts. they never said they wont be mounts in game. any profession can have speed buffs with own skill or speed buff from item shop. seriously u guys sound like religious fanatics. it has to be your way or the ones that want the option to have mounts will be stoned to death.

Mad Queen I have done crafting up to as max as I could, done storyline often but not caught up with it, and participate in events out in the game world and my thief is at 24 hours played and only level 31.

Sounds about right. My progression has been about the same, even though I would go out of my way to complete zones.

I can only guess Mad Queen is comparing GW2’s progression to some other incredibly over-the-top grindy experience. In which case it might be better, but that wouldn’t make it good.

Why do these threads inevitably get replies from people who think it makes some sort of universal justice to waste everyone’s time?

only waste of time is this thread, have 3 lvl80s chars. only my first i got 100% map completion. my last one that i got to 80 i had 30% of the map discovered, so wen i say this thread looks like someone complaining about wanting things handed to him thats exactly how it feels. and dont event let me give you the exemple of someones post that says we should have an item like WOW has that can turn a lvl 1 to lvl 80 in a second cause that clearly isnt wanting to have stuff handed to you.

Is that it is a pain in the butt to level. I have to practically do everything I can in a zone in order to progress. This concern is not at all mine alone. I have read many other concerns as such and hate having to chase down events, world bosses, and do all the exploration and story content I can in order to get enough xp just to get to the next zone. I would love it if you guys at Anet instead let people pick and choose their content and give them the xp boost they need to level faster just doing what they like.

why dont we also get a legendary weapon of our choosing just for logging in, how about those ascended gear, we could get them too just by standing on LA fountain…

Huh? Learn to read. I said that I wanted to get more xp for doing the things that we like doing while leveling, not I log in and poof I get instant things. Are you 12?
