[solved]
My guardian toon “Tiger Pansy” was the first to complete this quest. She did not have the option (as in no 5 characters appeared) to choose a weapon. I spoke to the npc who just shoved the dagger into my inventory. After the reset yesterday I did the Knight of the Thorn phase. After reset today, the npc Ridhais still failed to show up in the home instance to allow the weapon to be swapped to another.
I completed the quest on another toon with crafted materials – they DID have the option to choose a weapon, and Ridhais does appear for them in the home instance.
Conclusion: If the “choice” bugs out and u never get an option, it fails the check later to see the npc.
Ok – solved – seems I had collected the Knights of the Thorn achieve only on the 2nd toon. So even if you have already got the achievement, you still have to talk to the Pale Tree on each character that does the quest to see Ridhais in your Home Instance.
Ty all for yr input.

The ability to use the hero panel and uncheck the glider (like the outfits, head, shoulder and backpack slots) to turn them OFF – for use when you do NOT want the glider to deploy.
Thank you to Customer Support who has decided to refund me the item after all. Also a big Thank You to those who showed their support over this issue.
“Salvage this weapon to receive its spirit, needed to craft the next tier of this legendary precursor.” It has nice blue writing on it. ( learn to read problem)?
So do you read the description of every item you get? I know I dont anymore, i remember previewing it, but didnt see the description on the bottom.
Regardless, the crafting quest should not be able to screw up just because of some text on the bottom of an items description.
So I’ve accidentally put the Collossus Experiment 1 into the Mystic Toilet it seems, days before it tells me I need to salvage it for Experiment 2. I put in a support ticket but the reply was “you can craft it again!” – like hell I can.
First of all, how in gods name does the game allow this. Most items that are needed for other things come at least with a delete warning (like orphans gifts) and there are multitudes of worthless items that cannot go into the forge, but an item that contains over 300g worth of time gated materials that exists only for one reason can? Why inform the player you need this item days or weeks later when you go to craft the next part?.
If it is a quest item IT SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GO INTO THE FORGE. At the very least it should give the item if salvaged OR forged.
Incredibly angry that this first tier item will have cost me almost as much to craft as just buying the entire precursor straight out.

I would like the dye panel to at least show the backpiece, to better enable color matching whilst dying. Hmm… why not show weapons as well for the same reason, add a “hide/show equipment” function.
I found myself fighting on the edges of Teq event. No skill lag if I stood outside of the big red event circle, but as soon as I tried to activate a skill within the circle – bam! skills lag out and eventualy the game will dc me.
Thats easy, first clear all mail and messages from from the mailbox. Next get guildmates, friends, hell even random strangers if thats what it takes to send you mail. They can send 3 or so before getting mail supression. The mail icon will go red when u hit 10+ then u can delete 1 (delete oldest message first).
I would also like to add that a player in the downed state should be able to have access to the minimap, I was trying to fight/fend off a group of dredge and also trying to ping my location on the minimap, while going down and rallying rapidly. Very annoying.
Still unable to participate in any of the Elder Dragon events – As soon as event starts its Open Sores …I mean, Lost Shores style flashing skill icons, freezing in place, rubberbanding, dc’s and forbid I should actually be able to hit, let alone kill something.
So while people discuss the merits of chest loot restrictions, pre-cursor rates or anything else associated with these events, I’ll just sit here with my broken, formerly working game wondering when I can get back to doing them.
I would like to think I am patient, and have been, but it wears thin – very thin.
What is it? An add-on pack to extend the original artwork included in the game.
Features:
Randomised area load screen artwork – utilising the vast amount of artwork generated from the design process. At least 6 per zone.
Cutscene Replay – Once unlocked via play.
Choice of Launcher/Login Screen – the current one or the original beta version, set in the options panel.
How to acquire it?
Choices are to either give it away as a free downloadable add-on from Anet – or to make it part of a mission.
You could also have it partly involving a token amount of gems to buy the mission.
How about you, anything that you would like to see in an Arts pack?
i7 3930K, 16GB 2133 RAM, AMD HD7970 - 45 FPS?

There are also the Catalyst drivers 13.2 beta 7 that have some latency improvements for GW2 in the build.

I keep my mail from the Tyrian Explorers Society to help keeping track of world completion.
Can the mail be given it’s own icon please, a modified globe with 4 compass points perhaps. As it stands the mail is prefaced by either a green star or a heart, with no discernable pattern that I can see. At the very least these mails should be standardised with one type of notification icon.
If you consider it no big deal, then perhaps I should have suggested they remove the money altogether.
The main point being is that the system discriminates against players who toon swap.
The daily reward coin amount should be set to a flat rate.
The maximun amount as it stands, for level 80 toons, is 5 silver. No-one is going to get rich from this reward.
The reason for a flat rate is for people who have completed up to 99% of the daily on a max 80 toon, moving to a character they may be leveling up, only to have the daily ‘pop’ and for that reason they receive less coin.
This has become more of an issue with the new daily choice, where you may complete something that is not even on your highlight list.
Set a flat rate of 5 silver for completing the daily regardless of level.

Oh Josh, you clever thing you – I reckon you’ve nailed the difficulty of this puzzle perfectly.
cheers to a job well done.
No – A MILLION x’s NO!
Why on earth would you remove something so user friendly?
Honestly guys – where’s your head at?
10 hours so far of killing krabs in LS and i’ve got diddly squat to show for it. I am so pleased that we have the ability to spend either money or time to get anything in the cash shop, because with these drop rates I might get an item to use in the forge to make a chest, drop sometime in the next 5 years.
In a (rapidly shrinking) guild of 80 people, not one person has managed to craft one either.
Orr design is great. The spawn rates feel broken however and leads to a wearying slog through this zone.
Having had the same feelings when playing through a few other zones, my question is, must every fight feel like it could be your last?
Without being able to peer into the nitty gritty of enemy stats, my suggestion would be to have them spawn with more variables, for example:
Lets say for arguments sake that the base stat for a risen ravager is health/defence/damage 100 points in each. Insert a variable of around 30% either way in each stat and you will change up how they feel when in combat, some will be slightly tougher, some weaker. Some will melt away at the swing of a few sword blows, but might do extra damage in that time.
As far as I know, they might already spawn with something like this, but after slogging through Orr, I feel they do not and It makes all fights feel a bit samey and laborious.
First person camera – No miracles, i do not need to see my hands in front of me, just a clean view that allows me to look around, at other players, jump angles etc.
Dye Screen – so much space, why is my toon crushed up against the dye panels? can the toon be centered when in dye mode? Also since I am playing on high resolution, a zoom function would be a welcome addition.
